  Disappointing

Far below the Hyatt standard I expected As a Hyatt Globalist and Diamond UVC member, I have stayed at many resorts across the United States, Mexico, Costa Rica, and other destinations. My experience at Zoëtry Mallorca fell well below the standards I have come to expect. The disappointment began at check-in. Although I understand the official time is 3 p.m., I watched housekeeping finish cleaning my room approximately two and a half hours earlier. Other guests checked in early, but nobody updated me. I finally approached reception around 2:50 p.m. There was little orientation—no explanation of the facilities, the room’s lighting controls, or the room-service QR code tucked onto a coaster. Several hallways, and even my suite, felt more like dormitory accommodations than a luxury resort. The food was the worst I have personally experienced at a Hyatt resort. Half board included breakfast and dinner, but the included dinner could not be applied toward room service. One evening, when there was a wedding at the property and I did not get to dinner, I ordered room service and was charged separately. I was also charged $8 for a bucket of ice. Service was the biggest letdown. Warm greetings and basic courtesies were noticeably lacking, and staff often seemed rushed and dismissive. Several pools were closed despite temperatures around 80 degrees. At the family pool’s bar, I was told to order through a QR code instead of directly with the bartender, then waited approximately 45 minutes for tonic water with lime. My massage was good, but the overall spa experience lacked attention. The hydrotherapy pool was lukewarm, nobody explained the circuit, and afterward I was not offered water, a relaxation room, or additional hydrotherapy time. I also noticed the spa phone was off the hook, which was frustrating after two weeks of unsuccessful attempts to reach them before arrival. The room phone would not connect me to reception or room service. When I arranged a taxi to Palma, a promised callback never came. I had to go to reception myself, received no apology, and my plans were delayed approximately 45 minutes. At checkout, staff tried to charge me for an additional massage I had not received. They presented three tickets, one bearing a signature that was clearly not mine, yet still attempted to charge me. I photographed the tickets and challenged the mismatched signatures. This was a pattern of poor communication, slow service, and billing concerns throughout my stay. Given my experience with Hyatt and UVC properties, I expected considerably better. I left thoroughly disappointed and would not recommend this resort.

  Stunning, beautiful and high quality

This place is incredible! We had 3 nights here for our minimoon after having our wedding elsewhere on the island. I would highly recommend for anyone wanting to have a beautiful relaxing time, the endless privileges is amazing, great not to have it like a typical all inclusive the food was fantastic. We did the Michelin restaurant too which was incredible but the tasting menu was long so be prepared for a few hours! Wonderful experience though! The staff at the front desk were so helpful and attentive.

  Overrated by a mile.

Really dated hotel - my room (1217) had a massive smell of drains which was not properly fixed even after several complaints. Stained carpets and rather non-motivated staff did not make things better. Food was very average. Not worth it.

  Poor Dining Ruined the Experience

We sincerely appreciate the room upgrade as a Globalist member. The room itself was wonderful, and the atmosphere and character of the castle could hardly have been better. The beautiful surroundings and country views were truly impressive. Unfortunately, however, the dining experience was extremely disappointing and fell far short of what we would expect from a Hyatt property. 1. Service level and staff training Overall, the service appeared to be affected by either understaffing or insufficient training. The staff did not always seem sufficiently attentive or welcoming. On several occasions, food was simply placed, or almost thrown, onto the table without any introduction or explanation of the dishes. This made the dining experience feel particularly impersonal. 2. Disorganization in the restaurant There was also a noticeable lack of coordination in the restaurant, and this happened repeatedly rather than as an isolated incident. We were served food intended for other tables, received dishes that we had not ordered, and on some occasions did not receive dishes that we had actually ordered. The repeated confusion made the dining experience chaotic and frustrating. 3. Food quality More concerning was the food quality itself, which did not feel consistent with the standard we would expect from a Hyatt property. For example, the chicken was served with a significant amount of feathers remaining. This was particularly disappointing and, frankly, difficult for us to accept from a hotel of this level. Overall, while we truly enjoyed the room, the castle atmosphere, and the beautiful countryside views, we would not recommend this property as a Hyatt all-inclusive destination based on our dining experience. NOT Even try it and it will ruin your days.
