Almost perfect
The unit was lovely. I was pleased they were able to fulfill my request for the main floor. Initially I was disappointed we were in the furthest unit but it turned out to be an excellent location. The unit was clean, well maintained by housekeeping every three days. The bed was comfortable, pillows ok - a bit lumpy, great shower and utensils well stocked in kitchen. They provide dish and dishwasher detergent, baby towels and plenty of garbage bags. We stopped at the grocery store Humphries on route and used store and liquor store across the way. Food at the buffets and restaurant on site were good and food plentiful. You will need a car for easy accessibility to the island. Driving was ok, being on left side was not too much of an issue until you became used to the rotaries. My only feedback is for the time share folks to lighten up. We were up front from beginning we were not interested. We sat through the presentation for a $150 restaurant credit and 7 night stay at a resort of their offering which we will not use as the destinations and units are of low quality. They were quite friendly until they realized we were not interested. Then we’re rude, brisk and dismissive. The blonde woman in charge was just awful. Other than this experience it was s perfect stay.

Wonderful resort, restaurants are meh
All rooms are ocean front, clean and comfortable. Lots of beach loungers available, no one seems to hog them up. The location of the resort is very private, only a grocery store and Italian restaurant (which is really good) is in walking distance, besides the next door resort. The food in the Reefs restaurants are meh. One dinner there on date of arrival was the seafood buffet outside. While it was ok, it was very dark where seated to eat and pricey. Breakfast once in the restaurant was cold upon arrival. Otherwise it is a lovely place to chill. A car is needed it you want to travel the island and eat out. There are so many good places for lunch and dinner, especially local places where the locals go. To name a few: Eastern Star, Big Tree BBQ, The Caboose (must look for Kurt’s Corner to find it), and Tukka.

Property Right on the Water
Great property location - right along the water. Views from all rooms are really amazing. Staff are super friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a walk-out 2-bedroom unit where we had a nice veranda to sit out on and have dinner, drinks, coffee, etc. and then walk steps to the beach and beach chairs. Plenty of beach chairs available - no need to reserve any - at least not in January.

Lovely Stay
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Wyndham Reef. We were looking for a low key resort as the resorts on 7 mile beach were far too busy and loud for us. The resort is simple and clean but could stand to complete a few updates. The staff were warm and friendly from check-in, Miriam at concierge and all of the servers. All were attentive and worked so hard on our behalf. We chose the standard all inclusive option. There’s a premium all inclusive option which includes premium alcohol and beef options. Seems silly having 2 options and having to sign a receipt after every meal/drink even though you’re not charged for it. The food was outstanding!! Every meal we had was one of the best we ever experienced! Even the avocado toast was the absolute best. We enjoyed our long walks on the beach. Although its very windy (excellent for wind surfers/kite boarders), we found a few spots further up where it was a little calmer. One thing to note, the beach is facing east so it becomes shady by middle/late afternoon. You won’t see a sunset over the ocean. We missed that. We arranged transport through Leon Transport which was a major disappointment. We waited for ONE HOUR at the airport upon our arrival. One of the other cab companies called Leon 3X and we were told that they were in the parking lot then the cab was hijacked….? Totally inexcusable especially having paid $150.00 Canadian one way. Our vacation started off on a sour note but we quickly recovered and enjoyed the rest of our stay.

Don't listen to the bad reviews!!
We stay for a week and this place was amazing. The property has been updated and it looks better in person than the pictures. We bought the all inclusive package and were very happy with the meal choices!! The staff is kind, welcoming and hardworking!! We will be back!!
