Property was short staffed and at capacity. Service was terrible, no clean towels in hotel, 45 min to get a table then another 45 for a drink. Never again

Apr 17, 2026Nice Resort along the Atlantic Sea!
We took a mother/daughter trip to the South, and ended our visit with a couple nights here. It is a nice resort and has a pretty seashore that we enjoyed exploring and found lots of seashells! We found the site hard to figure out what the options were when booking, but basically you can stay at The Boardwalk which is closest to the beach, Sweetgrass Residences where we stayed, Sweetgrass Inn which I think is more of a hotel experience, or there are also vacation rentals. The resort is part of an extensive community on Isle of Palms that includes many private residences and a golf course. Some condos, etc. looked more dated as we drove around the area after check out, but the resort itself was very nice. What we booked ended up being a spacious suite, very clean, full kitchen and living area, separate bedroom. Although we couldn't see the ocean, we had a balcony - I don't think all do - and beautiful palms/nice scenery to look at, perfect to enjoy morning sunshine. The residences location is convenient to walk to everything (the inn would be too). The water pressure was not the best and the shower was rather small, especially for the generous size of the bathroom and residence. The bed/sheets/pillows were okay but our least favorite of the three places we stayed in terms of comfort. Everything else was great! The Boardwalk is the option for a nice dinner and we enjoyed it. There is one small, fairly limited boutique so don't plan on a lot of shopping. I would have gotten a sweatshirt or tee, but there were very few to choose from. Unfortunately to ask for a late check-out we had to contact them super early the day we were leaving which defeated getting a little more sleep when we didn't have a flight until much later that day. We were given a complimentary extension from 11am to noon, after that would be $50/hr if available, but we opted to check out. Valet was $35/night, and a free lot was also on site if not full. There were lots of families there as it was spring break time and everyone seemed to be having a fabulous time. We enjoyed our stay and are glad we were able to visit the Isle of Palms!

Very enjoyable time!
My husband and I took a couple of days to get away and we were very pleased with our stay at Wild Dunes. We rented bikes and road around the island. It was a great experience. We shopped the shops and tried out several of the restaurants.

Pools and beach!
We went for our anniversary trip and had an amazing time. We loved the ocean side pool the most! Several pools including an adults only pool. Lots of beach towels available without annoying return policies. Yummy cocktails but prepare to pay; drinks are expensive by the pool.
