10 nights in the Chairman’s suite - the people make the Swan Reserve amazing
We had an amazing Disney vacation. We stayed at the Swan Reserve for 10 nights. Yes. 10 nights!!!! And we had a fabulous time. The Swan Reserve is a part of the Swan Dolphin resort so we had access to all the hotel amenities, all the restaurants and all the pools. We stayed in the Chairman’s suite and it had to be one of the most beautiful rooms we have ever stayed in. It is a huge suite with a gigantic separate living room and an enormous round dining table. The bedroom is spacious and comfy. And the washroom is also huge. All the Chairman’s suites have a balcony with a view of both Epcot and Hollywood studios. As well, you can see the fireworks from Magic Kingdom too. We can’t say enough good things about the staff. From the front office to the back office; the check-in desk staff, the management and housekeeping. All were wonderful. Special mentions have to be given to the food and beverage team. They took wonderful care of us thanks to the leadership of Chef Judd - a true professional. We had the best in-room dining and restaurant experiences. The food at Il Mulino was spectacular thanks to Chef Christine - she is truly so caring and talented. And we had breakfast and dinner at the restaurant in the Reserve - Amare - thanks to talented Chef Mauricio - also so caring and passionate. Special thank you to Tiffany and Kye for taking such wonderful care of us. The entire team deserves a huge thank you. We will certainly be visiting again.
We stayed here for the amenities of a Disney/Marriott property but learned this resort is not for families. The front desk indicated this is a conference hotel and not for families. There are no food options after 8:00. The pool was closed without any indication ahead of time. As a Marriott Titanium member we are guaranteed a late check out and offered only a noon check out. They did push this back to 1:00. When we returned at 12:45, the room had been cleaned and the food we planned on having for lunch was gone from the fridge. The resort is clean and the bell service crew were amazing. We used the nice pool across the street.
Better than expected.
Amazing hotel, we didn’t know what to expect but we were surprisingly impress for the great ambiance that the hotel have. Not the typical Disney hotel with Disney everywhere, it was very modern, great decor and the most important thing the amazing staff, it is great to see that you are welcome with a sincere smile when arriving to the hotel from everyone we interact with. The Front office agents were very friendly before finding out our Ambassador status, that is when I knew it was going to be great. The suite was amazing, huge, very well designed, beautiful, the bed was great, housekeeping was daily. The servers at the coffee shop and restaurant always profesional and welcoming. The buses to the Disney Parks stop at this hotel. Lyft tip, if you are running late and need to use the official Disney Lyft , just walk to the mini golf in front of the hotel as that is part of Disney and that Lyft will stop there. From the position of the suite we were able to see the fireworks at Epcot and DisneyWorld. Because this is the sister hotel of the Swan Disney we were able to use their amenities too. Overall this is a gem of a hotel. Thank you everyone for the great service on my first trip to DisneyWorld.
Great family vacation
We have stayed multiple times at Swan & Dolphin but tried the Reserve for this trip. It’s a definite step up. Christmas week was oddly cool for Florida and the pool is walk in warm. The Dolphin/Swan pools are a quick walk across the street. While the hot tubs are fabulous, the pool is very cold! Reserve still brings you a table and real plates/silverware for room service! Last year at the Dolphin our room service arrived in a bag with plastic wear. The service here has been great! I love the delivered breakfast for Platinum members. They are right on time when I pre-schedule it the night before. It’s been our wake up call for the parks. The lounge by the lobby has a full kids menu even though not listed but perfect for all. Overall a great stay and I’ll definitely be back for our next Disney trip!
Great Location, Staff & Room Issues
We travel frequently, are Marriott rewards member, appreciate a good hotel and customer service. Our room was ready early but we were at Epcot. The location to Epcot is amazing, which is the main reason we chose the hotel. We arrived to check in around 10:30PM and had booked a junior suite. The room assigned to us was on the fifth floor, which we were a bit disappointed given our Marriott status but it was late. When we entered the room I was immediately disappointed as this did not match the description, pictures and room rate for the junior suite. We called down and were told to return to the front desk and we would get another set of room keys. Upon arriving at the front desk, the individual at the desk standing did not even look at us, the other individual who checked us in sitting at a desk was not aware of our call and noted that it could take time for that original call/situation to be referred over to them. We found that odd. Nonetheless, we were told that the room we had was a junior suite. I showed her a picture of a standard room from the Marriott website and noted that this was the room we were just in. Oddly then (and even now four days later) the pictures for the junior suite, and many other rooms, have been removed and now read "Photo coming soon". The staff said she would need to speak with her manager and disappeared behind a wall. Upon return she handed us new room keys for the third floor, no apologies, no thank you. The new room assigned to us was through a door, behind a wall right next to the front desk. We were even more disappointed with now being placed on the lowest floor possible, but it was late and we were done with the situation. The desk staff was less than friendly. The new room was a one bedroom suite. Please note that our Marriott status grants us an upgrade when available, but this hotel does not appear to abide by the Marriott rewards program. We were only staying for that one night. The one bedroom suite was well appointed and organized wonderfully. The view was nothing to write home about and had a bit of road noise. Oddly enough, the smoke detector and other detector (possibly carbon monoxide) were flashing green, red and even a white strobing light. Normally this would keep me up at night, but fortunately we were so tired it did not. The hotel has great potential and a great location. Unfortunately, we would have to be in a bind to stay at this hotel again.
