Great location, great unit!
Unit H105 is perfect. 2 bedroom/2.5 bathroom, full kitchen, and laundry. Ocean view! Clean, updated, had everything we needed. Pool area was good, on-site restaurant, The Oasis had good food but portions weren’t big for the price. I’d recommend reservations. Safeway is right across the road for groceries. We didn’t use the grills but they were being used all 5 nights we were there. The beach is great for sitting and getting your feet wet. Not a swimming beach, lots of coral. The location was perfect. We visited Coconut Market several times during our stay, great food options and nice shops. 20-30 minutes to the North Beach or the South Beach. This time of year the South beach is better for swimming. Lots of space, pack a lunch and be sure to have shaved ice. Also if you are on the South beach at dusk, you can watch the turtles come up on the beach to rest and the seals. The property is beautiful and well kept. Front desk reception folks were very welcoming and friendly. Our flight got pushed to midnight and the front desk provides an option for late checkout at 7PM for a reasonable flat fee. This is not a full service property meaning housekeeping doesn’t come in each day. It’s run more like an AirBnB/VRBO. We prefer this. Dish soap and bathroom soaps are provided. We had to buy some extra toilet paper and paper towel which wasn’t an issue. Bring laundry pods and dryer sheets for your own laundry and if you want to wash towels. We read mixed reviews, I think if you are prepared to provide some of your own things it’s just fine. We loved it and had more than enough room for 4 adults. Bike rentals in the lobby are reasonable and the bike path hugs the beach, stop and check out the tide pools along the way. I would stay here again.

Great Location for Beach Resort with Spa
The condo was very nice and comfy. We stayed in a 2 bedroom. Biggest issue was with the utensils, especially the knife set.... i could not even cut a plastic bag with the chef knife. All knives were so dull I had to use my utility knife I brought with me and that is sad. The pool and hot tub were clean and temp was perfect. This beach resort is perfectly located and it took us only 30mins to get to our activities... so great location. I would recommend this resort above all others (we checked out some while there). Plus there is a Safeway across the street if you need any groceries. Check out the Spa (we did services there too) and the Bike Path. Note: the bike rental went up to $25 for 3hrs and $50 for whole day. Other websites were incorrect with their pricing. Lastly, if you are going to Hawaii you will spend a lot of money regardless so just keep that in mind if you decide to go.

Nice facility but terrible staff
There aren’t a lot of great hotels on Kauai, but the Waipouli Beach hotel is one of the better ones in terms of facilities. The pool area is great although the water too cold to comfortably swim in. The rooms are adequate, and we rented one of the better ones. The bathroom is cramped with just a small vanity. The shower was a nice walk-in. The fitness center is nice although the hours should be extended given the quiet location of the facility. We had an issue with our door key not functioning properly. We did meet one staff person who was very nice and helpful. Most of the other staff we encountered, however, were he worst, and should not be In the hospitality business. From the pool boy to security to operating management, the staff were rude, condescending, and at times threatening. Given how much we paid to stay there, I was appalled at their general behavior and total, lack of customer service skills. We would never book here again.

Disgusting
I’m embarrassed by what I paid for this 4.5 rated space. Avoid at all costs if you are allergic to mold. Everything is covered in it…beds as horrible as described by others. It has possibility but honestly the smell is disgusting.

Gorgeous resort. Rooms were not the best.
The resort itself is gorgeous. Beautiful landscapes, pools, and beaches and we loved the central location between the North and South end of the island. However, the room was lacking in so many areas. Our shower head would not stay up high so we had to hunch down to shower and our toilet would not flush on its own the entire week. The maintenance man basically told us we would have to lift the chain inside the tank after using the bathroom. There also isn't a laundry facility on sight. To get fresh towels you have to haul your wet dirty ones to the front desk. And finally, the bed was hands down the most uncomfortable bed we've ever slept in. The mattress was unbearably hard and the pillows were as well. The only bedding they give you is two top sheets and a thin uncovered comforter. If we were to come back I don't believe we would stay here again.
