Beautiful But Not 5 star Standards.
Pros: beautiful grounds, vistas, centrally located, enormous pool, nice outdoor bar, cool indoor bar. Cons: noisy rooms, dates interiors, some malfunctioning items in rooms, poor plugs/technology, odd bathrooms in public areas, small room windows. Management needs to walk the hotel as an arriving guest to smooth out experiences. In room LED lighting horrible as is bright lights at bar in main restaurant. Overall, I feel this property is not up to global 5 star standards. Room 404 is a junior suite with poor views and dated interiors.

Five-star opulence in ideal location.
This majestic five-star resort above the banks of the River Tiber is a short stroll from Vatican City and from many of Rome’s other historic places. Also within easy reach are a profusion of boutiques, famous designer outlets, cafes, restaurants, theatres and clubs. The olive tree-lined drive leads to an elegant courtyard and into an imposing and exquisitely designed reception area. The extensive gardens are complemented by a magnificent outdoor swimming pool. The resort’s amenities include fine dining, a plush Spa, well-equipped fitness centre, and car parking. Service at every level is outstanding . . . front desk, porters, housekeeping, restaurant and bars. A disappointing surprise: Our “ Supreme Room with a View” was clean, spacious and with a large comfortable bed. However, the bathroom is poorly designed. The bath is difficult to step into, there are no handrails to grip, impairing comfortable use of the in-bath shower. The room itself has a useful table, a desk, and reasonably spacious wardrobes, but overall storage space is limited: no drawers, and tiny little bedside tables.

Beautiful setting, rooms and restaurant service lag behind!
Interesting and beautiful setting for this hotel. A short walk down the hill to either the Vatican area or across the Tiber to the rest of historic Rome. The hotel itself is classically decorated but the deluxe rooms are tired and oddly equipped. There is very limited surface space for travellers to set out their belongings. The bathroom is oddly configured with a high step bath, with glass on both sides into the bedroom itself, which is also the shower. This feels both bizarre and dangerous if one were to slip/trip. An odd configuration in these days of safe walk in showers. The Gala restaurant is disappointing. Sitting in the beautiful gardens next to the pool, it has potential. However, the staff, while sufficient, are distracted and chatty with each other but much less attentive to the paying guest. The Lobster Linguine at price Euros 34 was an overpriced disappointment, with 3 small pieces of lobster perched on the top of some linguine, not good value for money. Watch out for the bill and whether you have actually had the number of drinks listed/charged for.

Impeccable hotel with beautiful pool and gardens in the middle of the city
A spacious hotel, with a garden and swimming pool... it is impossible to imagine something like this in the center of Rome, a 15-minute walk from Trastevere and 15 minutes from the Vatican. Luxury facilities, same as the level of service. A 5 star in all its aspects. The rooms were impeccable, good size, well-equipped and comfortable. We stayed in a two-story Attic Junior Suite, ideal for staying in the same room with our two daughters. We would return anyway.

Fantastic location
We spent two days in Rome and wanted to stay in a good central hotel - Villa Agrippina fulfilled all our wishes. Great staff, great food and nice surroundings with proximity to everything. Excellent help from the consiergen, nice treatment by all the staff. If your main purpose is to visit the Vatican, this is the absolute best option. We would love to return here again.
