  4th Time at TRS

  We would be remiss if we did not mention some amazing people at the resort who made our stay comfortable, delightful and memorable. This is a long one... This is our 4th visit to TRS Yucatan since 2019, and so much has changed since we first visited, but what has been consistent without fail are the people who make TRS what it is. As Sir Richard Branson said, "take care of your people and they will take care of your business," and I hope Palladium Hotel Group does this. Let's start with arrival day, we were two hours delayed due to the airline, and a dinner reservation at Tentazonie for 9:00 pm was pushed back and they stopped taking guests at 10 pm. We got there at 9:55 pm, and after checking in at Kantenah, we stepped into the door of Tentazonie at 10:05. The hostess knew we were coming and greeted us warmly. Before we arrived at the hotel I was messaging Villa 71, we stayed here last year, and I still had the number. Patricia, who ended up being one of our butlers answered my call for help to let Tentazonie know we were not going to make it and advised her supervisor to assist with pushing our reservation back. Thanks to them we were able to fill our bellies at our favorite restaurant after an 11 hour travel day. I also would like to thank Fernanda at PTC office in Kantenah for the quick check in, and her assistance with the restaurant too 😁. On Wednesday we were supposed to do a zipline excursion but my hubby fell ill Tuesday and was not doing well. I called and messaged PTC Kantenah and spoke with Yanett who assisted us to get a new date for our excursion, Friday. This meant alot to us, she showed empathy and understanding which makes a big difference when you run into issues. I also want to give a shout out to Brenda who helped us get a later checkout time as our flight was much later in the day. This was based on availability, and she communicated with us on WhatsApp, which made things more efficient for us. We have our favorite restaurants for sure and enjoy seeing the familiar faces at each place. Their service is second to none. For breakfast, we are always greeted cheerfully and warmly by Loren and Gabriella, our favorite hostesses 🥰. Our servers Daniel and Paulina without fail remember our omelet order and very attentive. 😊. My favorite thing to get at Caprichio is a crepe filled with mango, raspberries and shredded coconut 🥥, and Laura knows this. She makes them how I like it, and always goes out of her way to grab the mango or raspberries if its not shown as an option. At Helios we have the dynamic duo, Cesar and Martha who are friendly, genuine, attentive, and just a pleasure to see and talk with. Martha has a beautiful smile that lights up a room. We always ask for them when we have lunch at Helios. Martha knows our favorite flavors of ice cream and we always have it for dessert without fail. Moving onto the Nest, our favorite buffet restaurant, what can I say about Fernanda and her team there?! They are the cutest, and just simply the best. Both Fernanda and Raul remember us from last year. We're celebrating our upcoming anniversary on this trip, Fernanda and her team go out of their way to make things special for us, small details and fun surprises make it extra special 😍❤️. We had a massage, got a couples Zentropia massage for $220 USD, and our therapists were fantastic and I highly recommend them. I had Bernice and hubby got Victor. My husband has only ever raved about two therapists, one is his go to guy at home and the other, Victor. He liked him so much he told me, you have to give Victor a good review (cause he never writes them) 😆. Excellent pressure, smooth transitions, and a very relaxing massage. Luis at the TRS pool took care of us every time we were there. He's super friendly, chill, and a hard worker. He doesn't want to take days off and to work as much as he can. We had a fantastic time this trip. It was a mix of everything (delays, illness, rescheduling, late checkout), and we were helped and serviced by a number of people as mentioned above I also want to give a shoutout to the people who work tirelessly behind the scenes to support the front line staff, servers, entertainers, etc. They are the cart drivers, bell boys, bartenders, gardeners, ground keepers, maintenance crew, house keepers, people who are in the bathrooms rolling up the towels so you have something to dry your hands with after washing, the kitchen staff, dishwashers, the people making the tacos, spa hosts, check in and check out personel, and I'm sure missed some. We love this place because of the people who make it what it is. Everyone is friendly, happy, and always interested in your happiness and want to make sure you have the best time. We are grateful 🙏 we got to take this trip, and until we see you again, adios! 😘.

  Great holiday!

  Excellent service and amenities! Can’t complain about really anything. (Though my friends, who hadn’t pre checked in as we did, were told their king size room wasn’t available on the first night- so they had to sleep in a double room and then move. That was a real bummer!). Food, drinks, pool and beach chair availability, and of course our lovely Butlers (Israel and Alexx) was all outstanding.

  Fun and More!

  This was our second time at TRS and the staff goes out of their way to make sure everything was taken care of. Drinks were constantly refilled and stocked when we need it. Food was delicious and always fresh. Special shout out to David from the POP team who went above and beyond to make accommodations for my friends and me to do rifle shooting and archery. A respectable young man, he taught us thoroughly and safely and even managed to squeeze us in for a second round after other guests completed early. Truly a fun time!

  Amazing week at TRS

  Where do I start, I LOVED this resort!! From check in with Erik to check out absolutely everything was perfect. We stayed in Villa 68 on the 1st floor with a private plunge pool (I only used the pool twice, there are so many areas to explore we didn’t stay in the room too much). Our butlers Itzel and Roberto were absolutely wonderful and attentive to any needs you have. We were just steps from the stunning infinity pool and then a short few minute walk to the salt water pool and Terraza pool. The restaurants and lobby are also a short walk (a couple big hills to climb) but the golf carts were everywhere, just flag them down if you want a ride anywhere. We never waited more than a couple minutes for a cart (other than our last night coming from Kantenah resort back to TRS we waited about 10 minutes). TRS guests have access to all amenities at the other 3 resorts (White Sands, Colonial, Kantenah) so the overall resort is HUGE. TRS itself had nightly entertainment in the form of music, DJ, Bingo (not your nor typical Bingo—-so much fun!) but is fairly laid back and relaxing. If you want nightly action Colonial seemed to hold most other events along with the 24 hour sports bar. TRS also has 24 hour room service, we used once when we had a really late dinner reservation, takes about 45 minutes for delivery and food was excellent. Let’s talk food….we ate a LOT! Food was great! Our favourite meal that we’re still all talking about (and maybe drooling) was Tentazione (Italian), highly recommend and order the Tiramisu for dessert, absolutely amazing! We very much enjoyed La Boheme (French) as well. Sumptuori (Japanese-Kantenah) was good. We also ate a great meal at El Gaucho (the cuts of meat are different than what we’re used to, I had the short ribs which were fantastic, called something else on the menu-beef strips maybe), sit with your butler after arrival and they will schedule these restaurants for you. Helios was very busy our first morning and then we ended up at Capricho the 2nd morning and every morning after that, truly a special experience from Loren greeting you at the door to the fabulous people inside (ANA we Love You!🥰) and Daniel. Breakfast became one of my favourite parts of the day! La Jarra beach grill was great but after a couple days we needed some additional variety and would go to La Hacienda buffet (Kantenah-closest to TRS beach) great variety and many cooking stations making everything fresh, very impressed for a buffet. We cancelled a reservation at Poseidon Beach restaurant (very stinky sargassum buildup in that area so likely would not have been an enjoyable meal). About the sargassum….the resort placed barriers and are making an effort to remove it and keep it from coming in but this is completely out of their control). This was our only disappointment about our vacation but again, absolutely nothing to do with the resort, Mother Nature has her own plans. The Salt Water pool was kept clean and was very enjoyable along with the Infinity pool…..we still went to the beach everyday and enjoyed the atmosphere and there were a couple days we were able to swim (we found a place a short walk to the left of our resort which was much clearer). Don’t let this ruin your vacation, there is so much more this resort has to offer! The TRS exclusive beach is a 15 minute walk (lovely walk along the shoreline) or a quick golf cart ride away. There is a Beach Butler too that had sunscreen in case you forgot that in your room, lots of towels etc. There were LOTS of loungers available, and lots of shade too. Never ever had to play the “chair game” which was lovely! Whether you were going to the beach or the pool we really had no issue finding a place to sit at anytime of the day. Now, the resort was at about a 70% capacity I heard so that may have factored in. All in All, we always felt appreciated and the staff here truly do go above and beyond to welcome you and make sure you’re being taken care of. I would absolutely 100% without a doubt return to this resort! We met many people here that have been coming back, one couple it was their 29th visit! I can honestly see why, we truly had an amazing week!! One week wasn’t long enough, I’ve been back home for a day and missing it already!
