GM with a bad attitude
I booked my stay for for 2 nights. When I arrived at my room around 1:40am, the bathroom in my room was not cleaned. The toilet was used there was some dirt marks (sh!t marks on it). The was no bath amenities. When I woke up in the morning , 8:30 wento down to the lobby, spoke to GM and he said would it be ok if she ask somebody to bring it to my room, so Took breakfast and brought the food to my room 9:00 am still no soap, called front desk, spoke to GM again, I asked how long will it take to bring up the soap, he replied by asking a question “ she didn’t make it there” 9:10 I called again and asked how long will it take to get up to the 4th floor? GM said the house just came in , and he claimed he told me that initially, if he did, Am I going to asked and call again and again!! Common sense!!! And take note no apologies from the GM!! My meeting was rescheduled becquse of this!!
Poor Service and Fraud
Arrived at hotel, manager told me my room had been canceled and they'd given my room to someone else! They said they attempted to "pre authorize" my card and that it had been rejected (it had been stolen a few days earlier). Then the manager says he still had one room left that he would sell me for 500+ dollars when I had booked it a month prior for only 185. When I said it was unacceptable he asked me to leave the property! Ruined my entire first night in FL rethinking my platinum elite 20 plus year relationship with Marriott. Worst manager I've ever run into in 20 years with no compensation yet from Marriott! They guaranteed me a room for 185 then canceled me and said I could stay for 500 on arrival that is fraud!
This place will charge you for “ premium wifi “ I obviously wanted to use the FREE wifi .. the log on screen was not working so I just said screw it .. but my phone had the wifi symbol so I used the wifi , appeared to be working for free Nope ! They charged me $70 for data ! What . After calling again and this time speaking to the manager he clearly was not trying to understand that this some how could have been a mistake and refunded the money. Instead he says that a 1 star review hurts his business more than me being charged $70. What ?! Ok. You don’t know my financial situation pal. So here is your 1 star review my friend Don’t Stay here . Neighborhood is gross and nasty anyway
Good Overnight Stay
In Tampa for one night and choose this property due to location. Checkin was professional and professional and quick with precautions for Covid present. We had a king room and the room was clean, well appointed and organized, and comfortable. A small kitchen table was present with a decent sized refrigerator, cooktop, sink, etc. Breakfast was prepackaged takeaway due to Covid. The breakfast area was sizable All in all a very pleasant stay and we would definitely stay here again.
The front desk staff was impeccable and that made for a better stay. Rooms are a little smaller than I'd like for a long term stay, but it was newer and clean. They offered frozen breakfast sandwiches (including a healthy option) so that was nice!
