So far so good.
Half way thru the trip and the stay has been very good. The beach has been great for my two kids (10 &8) the Westin has so many workers willing to help out and majority always smiling. Erik on the beach with the google shirt helped arrange transportation in from Liberia Airport. We had pictures ahead of time where to meet the driver. We went to him for an excursion as well Leona waterfall and then tubing. Very glad we did. He said it would be something we will never forget and he was right. My wife was not thrilled when she found out there were 25 rapids to go thru but after the first she was smiling and laughing. Kids may have been a little young, but each person got a guide and Alex took really good care of my daughter. Eric will show you pictures ahead of time. The Westin has been great to work with as well. They accommodated us on a second floor request and have helped us with things to do.

Anniversary Vacation
We just returned yesterday from our trip to the Westin Conchal. I was traveling with my husband and our best friends for their 20th wedding anniversary, This was our first trip to Costa Rica, and this resort was fantastic! The grounds are beautiful with a golf coarse and all kinds activities to do. The whole activities team were amazing! My friend and I did a painting class with Carlos, and a great water aerobics class with Eduardo. They had a lot of shows at night and the whole team would dance and get everyone involved. They were all energetic, friendly and fun! There are so many great restaurants with a wide variety of foods to appeal to all tastes. The bartenders at the pool were great and Ivan and Pablo took great care of us tableside, with any snacks or cocktails we wanted. They were both wonderful! We were interested in doing some excursions since this was our first trip to Costa Rica. I heard great things about Erik G in the blue google shirt so we went down to the beach to chat with him about what fun things we could do there. He was so helpful and honest about all the activities that were available. We started with a trip to the waterfalls which was spectacular! We booked all our tours through him throughout the week and I’m so glad we did! He will tell you everything you need to know to have a fun filled vacation! We will definitely be back to this resort soon! It was the best!

Costa Rica 2025
The Westin was an awesome resort. Would definetly go and stay again. The rooms were nice, the beds were comfortable. The maids were wonderful. The views were awesome. The food and drinks were great. The pool was a little warm. The people at the beach hounding you is a little put offish, but the beach was very nice. Everyone was nice and helpful.

Large Resort with a Cozy Feel
Stayed in the Tower 1 Club section which is adults only. Highly recommended for a quieter location that’s still close to everything. Club house has snacks and bar available throughout the day for Club guests and delicious Happy Hour appetizers. Excellent pool service with a poolside grill at lunch with burgers, sausage, chicken or seafood options (had BBQd lobster poolside twice). For excursions definitely see Erik Garcia at the beach (wears a Google shirt). Did two private excursions with English speaking drivers at much more reasonable price. Also check out the Green Team for a fantastic beach massage. Multiple dining options available for an all inclusive so you never have to order from the same menu twice. Only disappointing meal was at Bamboo (Asian themed) which seemed to be the most popular (always a line to get in). Vegetable Tempura which is normally a light battered variety of vegetables was basically deep fried peppers. There were several groups during our 10 day stay which is expected for a hotel this size. However be advised that groups sometimes shut down restaurants normally open in order to accommodate groups. My husband had planned to have a romantic sunset dinner for our 20th Anniversary at the Tapas Restaurant in the main lobby only to discover it was totally reserved for a group that evening. Every employee we encountered whether with room service, pool, restaurants, activity center etc., were always friendly and helpful making it a very enjoyable vacation. Saw howler monkeys and lots of Iguanas but you need to travel 2-3 hours to the rainforest to see much more like sloths, white faces monkeys or tropical birds.

Amazing vacation
The resort is beautiful. We watched monkeys, butterflies and iguanas from our balcony. Brian the bartender at the lobby bar makes craft cocktails that are delicious. Burgos made sure we had everything we needed in our room. The rooms are large, comfortable and clean. Housekeeping is exceptional and cleans and stocks the room frequently during the day. We booked a hike to waterfalls through Erik G with a google shirt(Google him) who works on the beach. He was very accommodating allowing us to add and delete people. The trip to the waterfalls is a must do. Crystal blue waterfalls and amazing knowledgeable guides. Try to get Andrew.
