Wonderful All-Inclusive Resort with Friendly Staff
Loved our stay at the Westin. The room was amazing, and the staff could not have been friendlier. Even though it rained quite a bit, it didn't stop us from having a great vacation! We visited the pool, dined in all the restaurants on site, and even had time to do a few excursions off site. We enjoyed seeing Monkeys, Coatis, Iguanas (and a couple other lizards and geckos), tons of cool birds, and even a frog! For excursions, we booked an ATV tour, a zip line experience, and a private sailboat ride. We booked all of these through Andrei at Conchal Fun. I would highly recommend contacting Andrei for all your "excursion" needs. He lives local, he's friendly, and he set us up with fun, safe activities that we really enjoyed as a family. All in all, this trip was a 10 out of 10, and we would like to come back and visit again some day!
Great resort. Went with family and friends. Wish we could have stayed longer because there is so much to do at the resort and on the beach. Restaurants on property were varied and met all of our needs. Food plentiful and very good. Make sure you make your reservations in advance on the app. Seatings do fill up. Check-in staff wonderful. Housekeeping top notch. Never had to ask for room to be serviced. They seemed to do it when we were at breakfast which was perfect for us. Only complaint about the spacious room was that it needed more lighting. So many activities to do right from the beach. My favorite was a massage. Sophia was who I booked with. Pleasant, kind, and very professional. One hour massage was one of the best I have ever had, hands down. And the location on the beach with the waves crashing in the background - Pura Vida!
Family Getaway 2023
The resort was amazing. Room service was impeccable. Service was as good as gets. The resort was peaceful and breathtaking. We stayed in room 4343. With exception to the dining experiences, everything was exceptional. As for our dining experience, there were lots of disappointment. At Mitra, lack of air conditioning made dining quite uncomfortable in the afternoon and evening. Regarding their specialty restaurants, they were not as advertised. I was fortunate to have made reservations several days ahead of arrival (I definitely recommend downloading app and making reservations prior to arrival). I made reservations with La Sabana, Manglar, and Spirula Trattoria. It is impossibe to make or change restaurant reservations once you've arrived. Manglar was the only spot that provided prompt service. La Sabana and Spirula Trattoria were painstakingly slow. At times, we waited more than an hour for our food in air condition-less restaurants. The service at these two establishments weren't representative of the Westin reputation. With their long wait times. their food was mediocre. Manglar was the only restaurant with air condition, prompt services, and excellent dining selections. Regarding activities, we chose to go with Erik Garcia (the Google Guy) on the beach. He arrange activities for our family and fair price. He's definitely the go-to guy for activities. Overall, our family enjoyed our stay, but restaurant experiences were quite disappointing.
Cockroaches in the room!
Terrible experience! My brother ended up in a room where cockroaches keep coming out. I was also told that I needed to do reservations for the restaurant on the day of the check in but when I arrived they told me that there was no spots open for reservation at any restaurant. Also, when we arrived to the reception area my children kept hearing a high frequency noise that came from the speakers they have hanging at the lobby. It was so loud for them that my 13 year old got a huge head ache and as soon as we arrived at our room he has to lay down and take some Advil for the pain. In general it was not a good experience. I am only giving it one star because Sylvia, a restaurant manager, helped us with some of the issues and tried to make our stay a bit more pleasant. I do NOT recommend this hotel to anybody.
Great Stay at the Westin !!!
We had a great stay at the Westin Reserva Conchal ! 6 days were filled with great food and drink. All the restaurants were terrific and the staff was great- they were very attentive to everyone's needs. There are many activities within the resort, snorkeling, swimming, biking, kayaking, stand up board- and of course golf. I would highly recommend Erik G for outside excursions, he knows all the great places and will hook you up, the prices are very reasonable and he is extremely trustworthy !!! Look for the Google blue shirt.
