  Will come back!

  We loved our stay! Food was great, room was great and location worked out well! We were able to do a ton of pool time, and plenty of beach time. Our kids are younger so we didn’t want to go too far from airport. We were also able to do some fantastic excursions that we booked through Erik G, an entrepreneur organizing tours (blue Google shirt right on the beach from the hotel!). Highly recommend to use Erik! He coordinated everything including transportation and meals- we did a catamaran one day and another day we did a river boat trip and ziplining. So easy to book and Erik makes it a smooth day and is well-organized! Would def stay here again and book tours again with Erik!

  A Wonderful Family Vacation at The Westin Reserva Conchal!

  We had a fantastic family vacation at The Westin Reserva Conchal and would highly recommend this resort to families visiting Costa Rica! The location is beautiful, the beach is stunning, and what really made our stay special was the outstanding customer service we experienced throughout the resort. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely eager to help. Everywhere we went, team members were asking if there was anything else they could do to make our stay better. A special thank-you to Kevin (Front Desk Manager), Jafet (Guest Services Manager), and Giovanni (Restaurant Manager) for going above and beyond. Their kindness and attention to detail made a real impression on our family. We were also pleasantly surprised by the food. For an all-inclusive resort, the quality across all the restaurants was very good. Our favorite was the Italian restaurant, where Alan took wonderful care of us. The service was excellent, and we really enjoyed our meals there. We also ordered room service early in the morning on several occasions before our excursions, and it arrived on time every single time. Our room was consistently very clean, too. The entertainment was another highlight! We especially enjoyed the morning yoga, live music, pool activities, and bingo. There was always something fun to do, and the activities added so much to our experience. A BIG TIP: Don’t miss the opportunity to book excursions with Erik, one of the local vendors on the beach! After reading several TripAdvisor reviews, we sought him out (look for the blue Google shirt), and we are so glad we did. He arranged three incredible excursions for our family: two fishing trips and a full-day adventure. He was great to work with and customized the experiences to fit our family’s interests. Both fishing trips were fantastic! We went out on two different boats with Captain Stuart and Captain Luis, and both crews were great. The fishing was action-packed, and we felt safe and well taken care of throughout both trips. Our full-day adventure was just as memorable. We went ziplining, visited a waterfall, and explored an animal sanctuary where the boys got to see sloths, snakes, and frogs! We finished the day near the volcano with a delicious lunch and a visit to the natural volcanic spa. It was an incredible day full of adventure and experiences we will remember for a long time. Erik was wonderful to work with, and we especially appreciated that he could customize the day to fit our family. If you’re looking for adventures beyond the resort, we highly recommend finding him on the beach and talking through your options. Our excursions with him were some of the highlights of our entire Costa Rica trip! One piece of advice for future travelers: We would skip renting a car next time. While we initially thought having a car would give us more flexibility, the driving was much more stressful and perilous than we anticipated. Rental costs also added up quickly once the required additional insurance was included. If we return, we would arrange hotel transfers and book excursions with transportation included instead. If you’re flying into San José (SJO), be prepared for a potentially very long drive to the resort. With the road construction during our visit, the drive could take 5–7 hours. This is definitely something to factor into your travel plans, especially when traveling with kids. We would plan our transportation differently next time! Overall, The Westin Reserva Conchal gave our family exactly what we hoped for: a beautiful setting, excellent service, good food, fun activities, and access to amazing adventures in Costa Rica. The staff truly made us feel welcome, and we left with wonderful memories. We would absolutely recommend The Westin Reserva Conchal for a family vacation! The beautiful beach, attentive staff, enjoyable restaurants, and fun activities made it a wonderful home base for exploring Costa Rica. Be sure to seek out Erik on the beach for excursions, and plan your transportation from the airport ahead of time. Thank you to the entire Westin team for such a memorable stay. We hope to be back!

  Great Stay! Would 100% recommend.

  This place was great! Really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. Staff and food were great! I would stay here again. Room was great also. I mean I have no complaints. It was a great time to go to CR. It was not busy and we felt like we had the place to ourselves. Just a great trip and resort! The staff are what make every stay we had in CR worth it, they all go out of their way to make sure you are taken care of.

  October trip to Costa Rica

  Leaving Costa Rica today. We really enjoyed our stay at the Westin Reserva Conchal. The hotel was large but has many golf carts to get you where you need to go. We were able to walk everywhere as well. We enjoyed walking the beautiful grounds. Being immersed in the jungle was absolutely gorgeous. On the grounds we saw iguanas, parrots, raccoons, and coatis. We only saw on monkey on the grounds. The pool was our favorite part of the resort. It was a good size pool with many seating areas. We never had trouble finding a chair with an umbrella. Shade is definitely needed sitting by the pool or beach. It was hot and humid every day. When we arrived on Saturday it started to rain around 4pm. That evening we had downpours. For the rest of the trip only had sprinkles here and there. Do not worry about the rain. The beach is amazing. Watched the sunset in the beach. One of the most beautiful beaches we have seen. The cove with the mountains and islands just gorgeous. The beautiful blue water. The undertow on the beach is strong so watch your kids. It was an easy to get sucked under the waves and struggle to come up for air. Saw a young boy struggling and his parents were not paying attention. Rooms were clean and spacious. Also looked seating on our deck. They are doing renovations in the Club area. They are working hard. The noise was not an issue. Only had 2 restaurants that needed reservations. It was not busy during the week so had no problems getting reservations but we were only 2 people. We enjoyed all the food at the restaurants. Bring water bottles. They have water filters in rooms and though out the resort as well as ice machines. Went used Eric Garcia for our airport transfers and our excursions. He has a website and we contacted him by Whats app. Look for him at the entrance to the beach as well. He wears a blue google shirt. His drivers were on time and courteous. Even avoiding lots of traffic on our way back to the airport. Vans/cars were clean and had air conditioning! Abel took us to the Miravilles. Abel was very knowledgeable and fun to be around. We saw a sloth, volcano, hot springs, mud baths, and 2 waterfalls. We saw 2 monkeys leaving the hotel. Also took a tractor ride up the volcano and enjoy d a delicious lunch. Very enjoyable day.

  Wonderful experience!

  We just returned from a week stay at the Westin Reserva, and it was amazing! The property was beautiful, well maintained and very clean. You felt like you were in the middle of the rainforest or jungle with all of the plants, trees and wildlife. We saw monkeys, iguanas, birds and coati (look like racoons with long noses). The property is large, but it's super easy to get around either by walking or golf cart transportation. The restaurants were all so good, and we did not eat anything that we didn't like! We were repeat customers to Spirula and Bamboo. The beach was beautiful and so relaxing. It is a private beach, so there are vendors set up during the day, but they were all so friendly and nice and a simple "No, thank you", and they left you alone. We booked an excursion through Erik Garcia, and it was beyond amazing! He will have a blue shirt on with his name and Google on it. We also had massages twice during the week with Lady Massage in the blue shirt. She was so kind, the massage was great, and she greeted me and remembered my name all week. The pool was huge, and so nice. There was tons of seating in lots of different areas- shaded areas and sunny areas. We booked the Premium Junior Suite for our family of 4, and it was very spacious, very nice and clean. We had plenty of space for my husband and I and our two teenage daughters. The thing that stood out the most at this resort and made our experience even better were the PEOPLE! Every single employee that we encountered was friendly, happy and it seemed were genuinely happy to help you, serve you and have you at the resort. Several would remember our names- especially at breakfast- and would always ask how things were going, were we enjoying our stay and make sure there was nothing they could do to help. The employees are really the stars of this resort. I will also add that my daughter was recently diagnosed with Celiac Disease, and we were nervous to travel and stay at an all inclusive with that being new for us. I contacted the hotel ahead of time to inquire about options and what we needed to do, and they went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable, prepared and assured us that our daughter would be and was taken care of. We had no issues with her finding gluten free options to eat- she ate well! Every time we dined, they also asked if there were any allergies or restrictions, so I think anyone with a food allergy or restriction would be well taken care of at this resort. I want to specifically recognize Joaquin Cisneros for all of his help and kindness to help us prepare for our stay ahead of time and his check-ins throughout our stay. We very much hope to be back for a future visit and would recommend!
