WOW'd by the Westin LLV Team
I was visiting Lake Las Vegas (LLV) to check out a condo we were interested in. After arriving just after lunch time, I was pleased to be greeted at the front desk and the ladies allowed me to check in immediately. This was huge because I was on the 0600e flight out of Miami and the flight had worn me out. After a quick and efficient check in, I headed up to the 6th floor to my room. (As info, the front desk is actually on the 4th floor with the pools and restaurants on the lower floors). The hotel is beautiful and this was my 1st visit there. As I was heading down the hallway, I must have had that "lost deer in headlights" look because I had made a wrong turn. A very nice lady named Pamela was coming down the hallway and I can only guess she'd seen that look before. Pamela could not have been more pleasant and helpful as she checked my room number on the Westin card and took me down another corridor and pointed out my room. What a great way to start my visit. After unpacking, I went back to the front desk to compliment Pamelas' actions and I had an excellent conversation with Michelle. She advised the Manager was elsewhere on the property but gave me a business card for Cassie. I asked her about the neighborhoods around the Westin and she gave me so much great information. That afternoon I dropped an email to Cassie advising her about Pamela. The next morning I went down to Rick's for breakfast and my server was Re'ne. Little did I know this gentleman is a legend at the Westin. He provided incredible service and advised me to go with the omelet at the buffet. He's also famous for being an employee at the Westin from day 1 for the resort. That's amazing in this day and time. He's a true gentleman and it was a pleasure having breakfast with him. After several meetings that day, I went back to the resort and went down to the bar. There I met Faith, Daniel and Tia. They were so delightful that I stayed at the bar and had dinner. The food is excellent and their attention to service was great. The next morning I stopped by the desk and met Cassie. It was a pleasure to meet her and she had received my email. Cassie and Michelle commented on how nice Pamela is and they were glad she had assisted me. That's when I found out how legendary Re'ne is. Heading down to breakfast, Brian was seating folks and was nice enough to let me sit in Re'nes area. Again - incredible service! And the omelet he recommended was excellent. I was sad to have to check out on very early (0245) Tuesday morning but Justin was pleasant and I assured him I would be back soon. Lake Las Vegas is a unique area and has 2 excellent resort hotels. I have stayed at the other but on this trip the Westin was very close to the real estate I was checking out and I'm very glad to have stayed there. The grounds and pool area are gorgeous. And the Staff made a huge difference. Everyone was so nice and could not be more helpful. They added a lot to my trip and I would reccomend the Westin to anyone that needs that little extra pampering and fun. Please check out the pics - even though it was a little chilly, the grounds were beautiful. Many THANKS to Pamela, Michelle, Re'ne, Cassie, Bryan, Tia, Daniel, Justin and Faith. And apologies to anyone I left out. Looking forward to my return visit! Cheers, L&J Miami Beach

October Getaway to Exactly What I Wanted:)
First time Westin customer. I’m a Diamond member for another chain but decided to give Marriott a chance. Glad I did. This was the place to be in mid October where the weather was perfect and the crowds were scarce. The pool was perfect. Great chairs, easy access to plentiful towels, snack bar service 20 yard walk from seat at pool. Every employee was hospitable, kind, helpful. The room was clean, bed extremely comfortable. Self park was free and a short walk to lobby. The grounds were absolutely beautiful. Lots of scenic walking opportunities. I’m so glad I chose to stay at this resort .

Stay away from Suzie
Suzie is the absolute WORST front desk "person" (if you want to call her that) ever. She is rude. She doesn't know hotel policies. And quite frankly, I have no idea why the Marriot company employs such a incoherent person to greet the general public. The hotel is ok, but Suzie should be immediately removed from her position and not allowed to help guests. Please, I beg of you, if you are greated by Suzie immediately ask for someone else and avoid her at all costs

A night near Las Vegas
In a faux italian development on what looks like a made to order lake. Nice enough but too dated to be impressive. The room on the 7th floor was nice but nothing special. A bellman is required if we use a cart to carry our luggage to our room. That always irks me. We tried 3 restaurants. One for steaks and sushi had no prices at the door. That also irks me. One at the lower lounge and outdoor level has club food. We ate indoors at another. It was OK. Anyway, it's a cute setting if you go for that frou-frou of a lot of dry wall that's supposed to look expensive. BTW the bed is comfortable, no bathtub.

Wow. Just wow.
What an incredible place! Very grand, very well-appointed, and wonderful setting. Friendly, courteous & professional staff. Decor throughout has a Moroccan feel. Same designs carried throughout in hand-made ceramic tiles, artwork, deco finishes. We had a room with a lake view which was beautiful. Not only overlooking the pool, but overlooking the beautiful swimming pool and cabanas. Lovely!! We had been driving for a few days and the hot tub was calling us so as soon as we were unpacked, off we went. The only negative I can say about this place is that the hot tub was not hot...lukewarm at best. Bummer. The room was wonderful though. Westin has THE MOST comfortable beds so a wonderful night's sleep is practically guaranteed. Wonderful shower & thick, fluffy towels!! The weather was nice so we enjoyed drinks outside before dinner. After a long day driving we opted to eat on-site at Rick's Cafe. Nice atmosphere, and prices seemed a tad high, but not unexpected. Food was well prepared and flavorful, but smaller portions than expected for the price. We also had the breakfast buffet the following morning. Many, many, many options including made-to-order egg station. Excellent. I have a feeling we'll stay here again.
