Hotel offers lots of services/amenities…WOW
Awesome view of Lake Ontario! Room was clean and beds were “heavenly” This hotel has everything that we needed, and then some…lots of amenities. Full business centre with printing facilities, pool has a great view of Lake Ontario, restaurants, gift shops, luggage assistance, etc. We were checked in by Leah and her mentor. They were both very friendly and helpful (Thank you !!) We also received emails prior to arrival from the hotel asking how they can help make our trip better, options to check in early. We had our luggage stored after check out and it wasn’t a problem. This hotel provided us with everything we needed during our stay. We would definitely stay here again. The staff were very helpful. Thank you to the Westin Harbour Castle -Toronto team!
I have never been a fan of the Westin but this is the worst Westin I have ever stayed at. I had no choice this time because of the conference I am attending takes place here. I have a king corner room which has a nice view but the interior is extremely tired. Carpet for sure needs to be replaced. Windows are dirty. Bathroom is extremely tiny with no amenities. There are no slippers. No robes. Ordering room service was cumbersome-app did not work and there are no menus in sight in the room. There is not a minibar, just an empty fridge, which is ridiculous. All in all there is no way you can call this a 4-star hotel; calling in a 3-star is being kind
Wonderful Hotel for a Conference in Toronto
Excellent hotel for a business conference. The convention center and classrooms were conveniently located within the hotel and accessible without having to go outside in the rain and cold. The hotel is centrally located. CNN Tower and other museums were within walking distance. My favorite experience was the One Michelin Star Restaurant Don Alfonso’s on the 38th floor of the hotel. The Don Alfonso lounge is an amazing place to get a drink and unwind with friends, no reservation needed.
Great location, gorgeous views
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The service and quality are amazing as always. We had a beautiful quiet room overlooking the harbour. Can’t complain. The location was fantastic, staff always pleasant and helpful. We are at the restaurant and the food was good though I’d call the menu limited.
Overwhelmed, understaffed, overpriced, and checkin time apparently merely aspirational
Chaotic and delayed check in, pumped in overly loud lounge music, no quiet spaces except minimal and tiny non private business center, pricy room not ready until 70 minutes late after check in time. Misleading promises about when room would be ready. Housekeeping apparently unable to keep up with a full hotel. They were "in a meeting" at 3pm check in time amd thus unavailable to even state when room might be ready. Not a good value. But spa well kept with excellent sauna and steam room and fully adequate exercise gym and pool. We rented a room with a view and while nice to have the view one result was a delayed check in as they obviously are having staffing problems. I needed to change and shower for business meeting and was urged to go to the gym since the room wasn't ready. A more appropriate solution would have been to loan us a room until ours was ready but they weren't about to do that. The common spaces lack any quiet sitting area. Management should consider turning down the continuously pumped in lounge music throughout the common spaces or at least turning the volume down. After several hours of waiting for the room, we found it maddeningly distracting preventing us from being able to think straight. Five stars for the spa, one star for unacceptable check in experience, lack of quiet space, and delay in giving us the room. They gave us $50 off the price due to their delay - that amounted to about 3 percent of the total price of our three night stay. Less than we spent in the lounge restaurant waiting.
