A lovely haven in the city
We were greeted by a lovely friendly receptionist who asked why we were visiting Toronto. We explained that this was the last stop on our trip and that during our trip we celebrated our wedding anniversary. She gave us a room upgrade to a newly refurnished room on the 31st floor overlooking the lake and Toronto Island. The room was amazing and had the best view over the lake. It was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for an extremely comfortable stay. Having gone out to explore we came back to a lovely surprise of a plate filled with sweet treats, fruit and a bottle of wine to share and a lovely card wishing us a happy anniversary. It was a lovely surprise and we really enjoyed it. We loved the room so much we didn't want to leave. It is one of the best rooms we have stayed in. We loved watching the ferry going backwards and forwards to the island and the planes going into and out of the city airport. It was amazing to see across the lake and see buildings on the other side that we had never seen before. We highly recommend this hotel and we will be back I am sure.
Amazing staycation in Downtown Toronto
I had an absolutely amazing staycation at the Westin Hotel! As a loyal member, I was upgraded to a spacious corner suite with a beautiful view of Lake Ontario. The family room suite was perfect for me with two connected rooms. The front desk staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, taking the time to introduce me to all the hotel amenities. The bedding was so comfortable that I slept so well and the bathroom and mini bar were spotless. The location couldn't have been better, right in the heart of Downtown Toronto and within walking distance of the harbor front and ferry pier to Center Island. To top it all off, the room service was efficient and the staff was super friendly. As a loyalty member, I also enjoyed a complimentary buffet breakfast at the lobby restaurant, Mizzen. It was such a wonderful experience overall!
A bit impersonal but great location
The Westin is a super large business travel orientated hotel so things run effectively but without any personal touches that would make guests feel welcomed. On the other hand the location is great, five minutes away from Union Station and Scotiabank Arena. And some rooms have great lake views, it is worth splashing out a bit more on one of those. Toronto is a pricey city and so is the Westin, nonetheless I would consider it again for a business trip.
Nice hotel and restaurants, a bit dated in older rooms
Nice hotel with old and renovated rooms. In the old rooms some furniture are really dated and moldings are cracked, but what matters like the bed, matters, TV, faucets etc. are all fine. Tried the lobby Harbour Coffee Bar and Marketplace for dinner and The Mizzen Restaurant breakfast (buffet included in the room package) and they were both great. The service is top notch and quality is really good. Also visited the indoor pool and hot tub and they were very clean and in good shape. Would consider returning in summer because the Lake views are amazing.
The Hotel was beautiful. Very clean and friendly staff. The xmas decorations were still up and it looked absolutely stunning. I will definitely be back at some point and will recommend this hotel to everyone who wants to travel to Toronto, that I know.
