Outdated but clean and friendly staff
Hotel room and property seems a little outdated but super clean so no complaints. Lona restaurant is great and can’t say enough great things about Storme and the rest of the staff. Friendly and helpful and really helped make our trip.

Amazing Service
Not enough can be said when you get great service and people care about their guest. Herson and Dexter were fantastic to deal with. They were extremely friendly and very helpful in getting my family situated in our room. They both had great recommendations to help with our stay in the sun. Really appreciate quality service. Looking forward to our next stay here.

Awesome!
My boyfriend and I spent a long weekend at the Westin and it was fabulous. I reviewed where to stay for days and I’m so glad I landed on the Westin. Great location to walk. Customer service was great. Lona restaurant was amazing. We ate breakfast there every morning and dinner there twice. The service and food both were excellent. Waves Grill was also good. Only negative I have is we didn’t get to stay longer.

Warm friendly staff
The weather was not typical. It was a bit cloudy, chilly and windy, but it didn’t feel that way with the warm people who work there. Martin was particularly fantastic up on the pool deck, giving us plenty of towels, and his positive attitude made it feel sunny. He greeted us warmly each day! He even made me feel better about my flight - I hate flying! Super nice guy! It’s the ppl that really make a hotel. The Westin is lucky to have such a great employee. The hotel is located in a fantastic spot with easy access to the beach and the bikes are fun to use as well. There are many great restaurants all around and the happy hour deals are not to be missed!

Grossly Overpriced
This was our first visit to The Westin Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort. My husband & I stayed for 1 [unexpected] night due to a flight change. Note: Unlike chains such as IHG, Marriott still charges "resort" fees when a member redeems a free night ($47.46/day). ARRIVAL/CHECK-IN: We arrived early (before 12:00 PM); thankfully, the hotel was able to find us a 1 King bed room within an hour of arriving. • Amenities: Hair dryer, mini refrigerator (keeps drinks very cold!), Mr. Coffee, safe. No microwave or robes. • Bath: Plenty of hot water, but poor pressure • Bed: Very comfortable bed. We're grateful we had our own soft pillows, though. • Cleanliness/decor: Rough around the edges.. dusty, exposed wiring in the ice room, scuffed up furniture/walls, stained alarm clock/curtains, etc. The hallways smelled like wet carpet. Quoting my husband: "I thought Westin was supposed to be a higher-end property?" 🤔 • Heating/cooling: Worked very well • Other: 1) Charging outlet next to the bed didn't work; 2) The room is blindingly bright at night, especially around the door & alarm clock. We had to roll up a towel/tuck it around the bottom of the door & flip over/cover up the alarm clock. • Sound: Paper thin walls; you can hear doors slamming, people talking & TVs playing. • TV: Many channels didn't work due to a hotel-wide service outage. • View: Buildings with a partial ocean view • WiFi: Standard CUSTOMER SERVICE: All of the staff (front desk reps, beach attendant, etc) were very brusk; not welcoming at all. Staff do not monitor the chat feature in the app. FOOD: • No free breakfast offered LOCATION/PARKING: • Location: Close to the beach & a few restaurants/stores • Parking: Not needed SAFETY: I wish key cards were required to access guest room elevators. Would I recommend/stay again? No, grossly overpriced for the dated property, lack of amenities & poor customer service.
