    Great stay

Great experience. This hotel met the standards we expected in every way possible. Very attentive staff and service, beautiful and clean amenities, comfortable room and bed. Will definitely stay again if ever in the Bay Area, absolutely recommended

Lovely Grand Hotel in a Super Location

Elegant hotel, very comfortable rooms in a superb location. We chose a club room, which gives access to a lounge, serving excellent breakfasts, snack lunches as well as hors d’oeuvres and deserts in the evenings. Wines and spirits are all included, as well as soft drinks. This is a great option, the lobby restaurant is a little noisy, so we preferred the club lounge. The staff are friendly and welcoming. All in all highly recommended. Getting around couldn’t be easier, with Union Square close by, as well as a cable car stop in the next street.

Best of the Best on Top of the Hill!

This was our first time staying at this property and it exceeded expectations on every level. We stayed on the Club floor—worth every extra penny. The only problem? The food and beverages (top-quality wines, beers and harder booze) were so good and the ambience so comfortable, we never wanted to leave. Because of life’s circumstances, we needed pampering and that’s what we got at The Ritz Carlton in San Francisco. There are so many people to thank—but sans a notebook and constantly jotting down names, I can’t list them all here. From the concierges, the remarkable Club level staff, the sweet women who service the rooms—each person served with expansive energy and whole-hearted spirit. It’s a hard job—being gracious all day to the lucky folk who get to stay here but they do it with honor and integrity. One note: Through my own miscommunication, we had a slight hiccup with servicing the room. No big deal—but it was my error. However, the entire staff we worked with never pointed their finger at me; they made the situation right with graciousness and kindness. Yes, the amenities are perfect. I have insomnia but slept perfectly here. The linens, sheets, bathroom amenities—all wonderful. But the true heart of this establishment is every person who works here and strives so hard to keep the guests happy and comfortable. Bravo!!

    Just what you’d expect

Beautiful hotel with comfy amenities as you’d expect from a RC. Excellent customer service from everyone, especially bartender Angela who remembered our names and was so kind. She knows so much about the city and really took the time to make us feel special. Also-her drinks are amazing! Housekeeper Remy was also so accommodating and kind. These two employees really made our trip feel special, thank you! Word of caution to fellow Marriott Titanium Elite Members, your hotel status at this property does not mean what it does at other hotels. We stayed at the JW San Francisco the last time we were in town and had access to the top floor lounge with amazing city views. When we asked the front desk if we could access the lounge, we were told that as “only” Marriott Bonvoy members, we could not use the area or even make a reservation. We were traveling with my mother who is 76 and had taken her very first flight for this trip to see our daughter. So we asked if we could just go into the top floor lounge to show her the views. We were told that a “manager would have to be asked and have to escort us there” so we obviously just dropped it. Instead we went to brunch at the Intercontinental for a view. If you’re used to typical AC Marriott level service, this property might not be for you.

    Immaculate Hotel

This is a beautiful hotel and I would recommend it over any other hotel in SF. The service and staff go above and beyond anything you need. Kindness really goes a long way and it is hard to find that when traveling recently in the U.S. I would come back to this hotel based off of that alone. The hotel itself is immaculate and very clean. Our room on the club level was nice and comfortable with a fantastic view of the bay and Coit Tower. The food and service in the club room was wonderful, we felt very welcome.
