Just average not up to Ritz Carlton Standards
We recently spent three nights at the Ritz, and while the property itself is beautiful, our experience fell short of the standards typically associated with the Ritz-Carlton brand. Having had the privilege of staying in numerous exceptional accommodations, it's the small details that truly distinguish extraordinary experiences from merely satisfactory ones. Unfortunately, our stay at this Ritz was merely satisfactory, lacking the exceptional quality we anticipated. Our upgraded room, situated in a wing near the adult pool, felt dark and cramped. The oversized furniture, including a large reclining sofa positioned too close to the king-size bed, made it difficult to navigate the space or open the blinds. The design choice for these rooms seems impractical and doesn't optimize the available space. While the closet provided ample room for unpacking, the motion-sensored light on a timer was frustrating, requiring constant arm-waving to keep it illuminated. Additionally, the exposed utility panel in the closet detracted from the overall sense of luxury expected at the Ritz. Charging ports is only available on one side of the bed? It is 2024 how is that even possible to only have one charging port in the entire room? Service was inconsistent throughout our stay, with varying levels of attention to details such as turn-down service and room cleanliness. The bathroom layout was peculiar, with the shower and tub adjacent to each other in a dimly lit enclosure that felt dated and gloomy. The harsh lighting in the main bathroom area further detracted from the ambiance, casting unflattering shadows. While the restaurant staff provided excellent service, the food quality was inconsistent. A highlight was the picturesque pool and hot tub area, offering stunning views and a relaxing atmosphere following a day of hiking. Overall, considering the price point, we wouldn't choose to return to this particular Ritz-Carlton. With numerous other luxury options available in the area, this Ritz fell short of delivering the exceptional experience expected from the brand
A staff you dream about.
My wife and I stayed here for six nights in February. The hotel is very nice, very clean, up on a hill overlooking the valley. It has all the proper amenities. We stayed in a large suite which had a wet room type shower, something we didn't much care for. However, the rest of the stay was wonderful. And the staff!!!....in all my travels I've never enountered such a capable, warm, sweet, totally helpful people!! Honestly. And that includes the management. They catered to every single thing we asked for in the most professional manner possible. Our biggest compliment: We will be back.
Beautiful Location, Lovely Rooms
Lovely! The rooms were comfortable, clean, spacious. The staff were all super courteous. The outdoor spaces were beautiful. The location was great. Loved having a decent hike right out the door. Close enough to downtown Palm Springs to go do activities there. Lots of fun restaurants nearby.
Wonderful girls weekend! Service was spectacular.
Fabulous girls trip for the weekend. The service was OUTSTANDING. I was checked in by the loveliest woman on Thursday night (unfortunately I failed to commit her name to my memory) who was so welcoming and upgraded my room to include a fire pit. Shout to Brando at State Fare for the BEST kickoff to our girls weekend with avocado fries and lattes. Everyone was so responsive to every single request and I’m blown away by the staff here. I’ve stayed at a few Four Seasons and the staff at the Rancho Mirage were much better. A perfect stay!
PLEASE CLONE Thomas Woodcock & Sylvia Castellon! #BeBonvoy
This was my second visit to the property. It was even better than the first time! I love the rooms, the groovy, velvet orange bar, lounge, the fantastic food, the selenite chandeliers in the white rock hallways. The gym, the yoga, the hot tub, and the spa are fantastic but none of it compares to the next level, Kind and generous team that runs the place. Thomas Woodcock needs to be cloned so that an army of Thomases Can be dispatched by Marriott, worldwide. Make sure you head down to the lobby at any point from 11 PM to 7 AM because Sylvia Castellon’s smile and spirit, and her need to dual she can to meet just about any reasonable request, will remind you of why you love being a Bonvoy member.
