What an amazing stay (:
This place blew me away … from the staff to the restaurant … some of the nicest people you will ever meet so helpful and accommodating!!😊 and also recently renovated the restaurant … but the real star here was the breakfast … I gotta say our waitress was the best ever !! Stacy went around and was so attentive(: … along with the manager who was so amazing to !! So friendly and super sweet !! … (: I also want to say what amazing pool attendant as well … shoutout to Bruce … he was so friendly and super sweet !!… from being in the industry myself … coming here it really felt like a home away from home …. And the rooms and beds were so comfortable…🥰. I will fully be back thank you for making my family feel so comfortable and welcoming as well !! … I honestly want to say what an amazing property… ofc I had to add some of my fav pics from breakfast !😍🥰10000 recommend this place for a weekend getaway !!🥰

Erroneous charges
I am a Lifetime Gold Elite member with Marriott, with over 500 nights stayed across your properties. It’s deeply disappointing to have to write this. I was erroneously charged $485 for food and beverages I did not purchase. My folio, the Marriott app, my credit card statement, and even the front desk all show conflicting information. Despite multiple attempts, I’ve received no response from hotel management, and customer service has offered little to no support. This situation has caused significant frustration and wasted time. I expect this to be addressed and resolved promptly. I will update my review once Marriott takes responsibility and corrects the error.

Fantastic Hotel in a Great Location
I can't say enough about this hotel! From the moment we checked in until we left, our entire stay was full of excellent customer service, delicious food and drinks and plenty of ways to enjoy the Tampa area. The hotel is right along the Riverwalk with easy access in any direction to entertainment districts, restaurants, bars and recreation. There's also a street car station right outside the front door and water taxis out the back. During our stay we sampled some drinks at Lona Restaurant and had breakfast at the restaurant on site. It was a little cold and windy during our stay so we weren't able to enjoy the outdoor seating or pool area, but both areas looked inviting and we'll definitely give them both a try if we return. There is a $30/night resort fee added to your stay. This is explained upon checking and it is easy to recoup that fee by dining onsite, enjoying the wine/beer tastings and using the water taxi service (Just be sure to get your free pass at the front desk). I highly recommend this property to those looking for a convenient place if you are in town for a hockey game, departing on a cruise or just looking for a weekend away.

Solid Choice for a Vacation
This hotel is a solid 4 star choice. Pros: Fantastic location to walk on riverwalk trail, dining options on riverwalk and free trolley transportation to Ybor City. The 3rd floor pool was big and very well heated with a water view. One day a live musician played at the pool. There is a bar at pool. A Publix grocery store is in walking distance to purchase food and beverages. Resort fee includes daily water taxi fir 2 people and drinks at JW Marriott. Cleaning service is very good and there was plenty of friendly staff to assist. We didn't have a car and could get to all our activities by walking or taking Uber. Airport is only 30 min away. Hotel caters to conventions and handles the convention groups well along with vacationers. Cons: Rooms are average size with not a lot of room for luggage. Ask for a free upgrade for a balcony room. There is a $30 food/beverage credit which isn't a good ivalue, considering that the food and drink prices at all their restaurants are very expensive. We enjoyed visiting the following attractions in Tampa and Sarasota: Dining: Acropolis Restaurant in Ybor City with good food and belly dancer entertainment. Columbia Restaurant in Ybor City with flamenco show. Lona Mexican Restaurant at hotel, Columbia Cafe on River Walk. River Terrace restaurant at hotel. We ordered off the menu and could split a breakfast entree, since the entrees are large. Museums: Henry Plant Museum (free on Saturdays), Tampa Museum of Art (free for college students with id), Tampa History Center. Water Taxi: Get free passes at hotel and enjoy the ride up and down the river with commentary. Water Taxi is located on Riverwalk close to hotel. Rental Car: We rented a car at the Budget agency located at Embassy Suites Hotel across the street. We drove an hour to Sarasota to visit the amazing Ringling Brothers Museum and estate. We spent 5 hours there. We took the Legacy Tour. Mondays are free to go to just the art museum. Tampa is lovely and worth visiting!

Wonderful couples retreat
My wife and I spent 3 nights at the Marriott. It was an awesome hotel in a great location. We spent our afternoons at the rooftop pool. It was busy, but not crowded. There were plenty of chairs. 2 of the 3 days they had live music for a couple hours. The bar was really good and the bartenders were great. Drinks were pricey though. Expect to pay almost $20 per drink. The river walk ended at a neat outdoor place that had food trucks, a bar, and music. It was about a 10 minute walk. There was also a free trolley that would take you to Ybor. Maybe a 10 minute ride.
