Keep walking to the next hotel....
My Grandson was Flight for Lifed to Children's on Sat, Jan 21st. I went over the next day, and got a room here, because it was across the street. I had called ahead, and they assured me, that there was a hospital rate , their hospital rate, is the same rate I could get on any site). When I found out we were going to be delayed at the hospital, I called to give my card for our reservation. The gal on duty said, no problem, just do it when you come over, she thought that she would still be there, as someone had been a no show for work. We knew it was late, and finding a place to eat that late would be next to impossible, but, as per their site, they appeared to have a bar and snacks that was open till midnight, I believe. So, we thought no problem. Well when we checked in, I inquired is the bar open, and can we get a drink and snack? The kind Gentelman behind the desk said something about , someone was out sick. So there was no bar tonight. He obviously was covering the shift, of the no show. He was great, several people had some minor issues, and he was trying to accommodate everyone, while there was 6 or 7 deep, waiting to check in. He was great, not a problem with him at all. He had said something about he was the only staff there, so, the bar wouldn't be open. Not sure why management, would only have one on staff, at a busy hotel, with people arriving at all hours from the hospital, but, with help being so hard to find, it could be. We wound up staying one more night, and I called mid morning, and confirmed, that our room was available. When we arrived that nite, once again, bar closed, it would have been nice to know this when I called, so we knew that apparently, the bar isn't open much. Imagine our surprise, when we opened our room, it had not been made up from the nite before. (We were keeping the same room, so it was our stuff). But, it would have been nice to have the beds made. But. Next day I looked at my credit card bill, and I had been charged over $200 for the first nite, (originally, I thought it was for both nites, and that was great. Well, again the next day, another charge from there, it was just under $200. So I tried calling, was told the manager wasn't there, and directed me to the voice mail. I never got a call back. So, I left messages, I messaged them on Facebook, no reply or answer. I left a message, that my only route is to contact corporate. Went to look at my card, so I had the info........to share with corporate, and they had redid the two charges, into one. It was still over the rate I was quoted. Corporate did respond, and said they sent my stuff to the hotel. So, basically blew me off. I won't stay at anymore Marriotts in the near future, that's for sure. The staff is nice, and tries to be accommodating, but, the management seems to have some real issues. Good thing there are other choices to stay next door.

Best front desk service ever
Terrell Made the experience 5 stars. He was polite knowledgeable and helpful. We witnessed him run the hotel absolutely on his own with a smile on his face and never once complained. People like him Should be praised for their stellar customer service and efficiency. I’ll definitely be returning based solely on the fact of how well we were treated by him on our stay. Thank you Terrell.

Great experience. My family and I will definitely be back!
The staff was very friendly and accommodating our entire stay. The rooms were cozy and clean. Our kiddos loved the pool, it was empty the whole time. Breakfast in the morning was icing on a perfect stay. Thank you for everything!

A wonderful port in the storm
This is a lovely hotel. Since we unfortunately are spending a lot of time at one of the hospitals across the street, we've stayed here several times in the last month or so. We've been lucky enough to be checked in by Terrell each time. He doesn't just know what he's doing (he does!), but he's also cheerful & welcoming. It starts the whole visit off right. The rooms are clean, good-sized, and in excellent repair. And the HVAC has a fan-on setting, which is a real bonus for sleeping at night. Breakfast is excellent; lots of choices. It doesn't open until 6:30, but one morning when I went down at 6 to see if there was a grab-and-go (there isn't), the gentleman at the front desk took me into the kitchen & offered me anything they had. That was so unbelievably kind! As for amenities, there is a large indoor pool and a small fitness center. There are a dozen fast-food outlets within easy walking distance. I am not someone who hides her complaints, but I have nothing but praise for this hotel.

The Good Hostess
I arrived on Sunday night arround 5ish pm. When I walked in there were 3 people at the front desk. 1 was being checked in. 1 of which had been waiting since 4:30 for another room because tv didn't work. The other person was trying to get a room but couldn't because the rooms were "unavailable" but unoccupied, and he was upset. He had the manager's card and had tried calling but said no one answered and voice mail was not setup. Over the course of these interactions with the hostess 4 more check-ins walked in and she skillfully checked them in. (After checking in I sat in the lobby.) Now I must communicate that the hostess was overwhelmed with NO backup and it seemed like she was thrown to the wolves, but she was never rude or unprofessional. I believe she is an asset to your company. The hostesses name is Melanie. Thanks, Kevin
