    Cluster

Do not use this hotel if traveling for government or army. From moment I got here couldn’t figure out how to remove taxes from the room. Right before leaving was told it was fixed. Of course at checkout early in the morning taxes are still being changed. Not run well and definitely a lack of understanding in common practices like government travel tax exemptions

    Convenient room layout

We really liked the room here. It was an arrangement not usual to hotels we frequent. There was a separate toilet room from the bathtub room. This was great to be able to use both rooms at the same time, which is usually not possible. The room was spacious, and we enjoyed the little seating area with desk, which gave us enough room to spread out. It was clean and quiet and easy to check in and out. Other reviews expressed concern about safety, but it seemed to be a pretty low-key area when we went.

    Parking lot not safe

We stopped to stay last minute as we were on our way to skiing. We arrived at 9:15pm. The first room reeked of smoke but the agreed to move is without an issue. Next morning, we found out our trucks gas tank had been punctured to steal the gas. Aurora is not a good area despite being across from the hospital. There was a security car driving through the parking lot with his music blaring when we arrived. The police said there are homeless camps nearby and they steal gas for generators. The hotel staff does not know how to view the security system so no help there. Oddly they stole our front license plate as well. Would not stay in this area again

Keep walking to the next hotel....

My Grandson was Flight for Lifed to Children's on Sat, Jan 21st. I went over the next day, and got a room here, because it was across the street. I had called ahead, and they assured me, that there was a hospital rate , their hospital rate, is the same rate I could get on any site). When I found out we were going to be delayed at the hospital, I called to give my card for our reservation. The gal on duty said, no problem, just do it when you come over, she thought that she would still be there, as someone had been a no show for work. We knew it was late, and finding a place to eat that late would be next to impossible, but, as per their site, they appeared to have a bar and snacks that was open till midnight, I believe. So, we thought no problem. Well when we checked in, I inquired is the bar open, and can we get a drink and snack? The kind Gentelman behind the desk said something about , someone was out sick. So there was no bar tonight. He obviously was covering the shift, of the no show. He was great, several people had some minor issues, and he was trying to accommodate everyone, while there was 6 or 7 deep, waiting to check in. He was great, not a problem with him at all. He had said something about he was the only staff there, so, the bar wouldn't be open. Not sure why management, would only have one on staff, at a busy hotel, with people arriving at all hours from the hospital, but, with help being so hard to find, it could be. We wound up staying one more night, and I called mid morning, and confirmed, that our room was available. When we arrived that nite, once again, bar closed, it would have been nice to know this when I called, so we knew that apparently, the bar isn't open much. Imagine our surprise, when we opened our room, it had not been made up from the nite before. (We were keeping the same room, so it was our stuff). But, it would have been nice to have the beds made. But. Next day I looked at my credit card bill, and I had been charged over $200 for the first nite, (originally, I thought it was for both nites, and that was great. Well, again the next day, another charge from there, it was just under $200. So I tried calling, was told the manager wasn't there, and directed me to the voice mail. I never got a call back. So, I left messages, I messaged them on Facebook, no reply or answer. I left a message, that my only route is to contact corporate. Went to look at my card, so I had the info........to share with corporate, and they had redid the two charges, into one. It was still over the rate I was quoted. Corporate did respond, and said they sent my stuff to the hotel. So, basically blew me off. I won't stay at anymore Marriotts in the near future, that's for sure. The staff is nice, and tries to be accommodating, but, the management seems to have some real issues. Good thing there are other choices to stay next door.

    Best front desk service ever

Terrell Made the experience 5 stars. He was polite knowledgeable and helpful. We witnessed him run the hotel absolutely on his own with a smile on his face and never once complained. People like him Should be praised for their stellar customer service and efficiency. I’ll definitely be returning based solely on the fact of how well we were treated by him on our stay. Thank you Terrell.
