SOUTHPOINT-GENRALLY A GREAT PLACE TO STAY AT THE FAR END OF THE STRIP
We visit the hotel a couple of times every year for the showroom and good accommodation. On our most recent visit 7-14 March we have only 3 negative comments 1.Whilst the hotel pool was open for the 2026 season -there were no refreshment facilities around the pool area and the. Pool bar was was not due to open until 23 March. 2.Whilst the choice of restaurants is vast,as I am Coeliac- Gluten free .i have to be extremely careful what I eat .Whilst there are options available the most disappointing is the GARDEN BUFFET for coeliacs-whilst you are able to get a tour of the buffet with a chef-it is very strange that the restaurant is unable to provide gluten free sausages now but were able to last September? On a previous visit for breakfast those. With no allergies can enjoy numerous cakes but none for coeliacs only ice cream options. This was reported and a suggestion that a gf roulade would improve the choice. The final point is the fact smoking in the casino is permitted can be very uncomfortable but it is common practice in Vegas hotels. If you are looking for peace and quiet in the hotel .it can only be found in your guest room and the pool area has pounding music. Overall South Point is a very good place to stay and if you do go check out the top floor ARENA wher you might catch Rodeo Cowboys doing lasooing amongst other events.

Nice hotel but not again!
The hotel was significantly overpriced for the quality and convenience it offered. Its location is quite far from most attractions and amenities, making a car necessary just to justify staying there. Additionally, the elevator situation was extremely frustrating. Guests often had to wait in very long lines, as only two of the six elevators were sometimes operational. Due to the high cost, inconvenient location, and poor elevator availability, I would not choose to stay at this hotel again.
