  It would have been a perfect stay if not for the lifts!

  We booked four rooms, including two suites, during the New Year holiday. The hotel's location is excellent, with direct access to the subway and a food court beneath it. However, the executive lounge is rather small, making it difficult to find a seat during evening cocktails due to long queues. On the bright side, breakfast at Crossroads Buffet is outstanding, with an impressive variety that makes choosing what to eat a pleasure. We did face inconvenience when we had to bring our luggage inside from the road entrance without assistance at the main door. Despite these positives, the lifts were the biggest letdown; only three out of four were operational, with the fourth under repair for several months. Hopefully, lift upgrades will take place soon.

  Old but Iconically Gold – A True Landmark in Orchard Road

  Marriott Tang Plaza is a long-standing hotel along Orchard Road that has clearly been well maintained over the years. The rooms are comfortable, the common areas are tidy and functional, and the property continues to operate smoothly despite its age. There were some minor elevator issues during the stay, but it was good to know that upgrades are already planned. What stood out most was the service. The staff were consistently polite, attentive, and professional. Thank you to the M Club Lounge team, especially Yusuf, Coleen, Choo, and their supervisor, along with the lounge associates who made the experience pleasant and welcoming. I’d also like to acknowledge Adrian from Concierge, Jen from Guest Services, and a member of the housekeeping team whose service was courteous and reliable. A simple dining highlight was the soup and noodle station at Crossroads Restaurant—comforting and enjoyable, especially after a long day. This stay was also personally inspiring. With years of experience in hotel visual branding, I couldn’t help but notice the potential for subtle lobby updates or seasonal styling using existing resources. Small layout adjustments can make a meaningful difference. Thank you, Marriott Tang Plaza, for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. I look forward to visiting again.

  Not Worth the Money

  The Location of this hotel is excellent, the subway is directly below and it is also within the heart of Orchard Road shopping district. We paid for an executive room with club access, the room was whilst not overly spacious it was clean and the cleaning staff did an excellent job. On the downside- the elevators are atrocious at on stage we waited 10 minutes and this was a constant- very annoying when you are paying up to $1000 per night for a room. The food - again not up to scratch for the money you are paying - always just luke warm. The eggs for poached and fried were precooked then reheated in warm water- just horrible. Even the food in the Club room was not hot just warm and sometimes just cold. bar staff ion the club room were very nice.

  It is on the best location for shopping centre, and the room is spacious with well-equipped gym and nice swimming pool. On the other hand, I would like to admire Ms. Ran from Housekeeping team who is very helpful and the only person who interacts with me for asking how well I stay so far and inquire about anything I need. It is small talk while she is busy with her job but as the guest of the hotel, I appreciate this because it means the warm hospitality. I hope the hotel team would recognise her as the sample of the team. Finally, I stay here for 4 nights and it is my wonderful excursion.

  Great Staff and location, painfully slow elevators

  I use this hotel every-time I have business in Singapore. Rooms are ok. The gym is above average. Decent Sauna. Restaurants are good. There is a cool speak-easy bar hidden in the lobby. Fun place. The location is fantastic. The staff are always polite. I’ve used that hotel over 20 times and the staff is very nice. The only major problem are their elevators are slow. In the morning plan 10 minutes extra, they’re that slow. I was told by the staff they are renovating and updating and it will be fixed.
