Not what it used to be
I finally got around to writing this review. I stayed here last summer with my kids, and while I’ve had good experiences at this property in the past, this will be my last stay. The positives: The rooms are nice and recently updated. Housekeeping was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and consistent. The hotel has excellent direct beach access, and the outdoor seating area with rocking chairs is a beautiful spot to relax in the morning. The infinity pool itself is impressive and visually stunning. The negatives: Unfortunately, the front desk staff were rude and not very accommodating. As a Titanium Elite member, my status felt meaningless. The elevator areas are chaotic, and the main pool area is poorly managed. Because the property sits directly on Waikiki Beach, there is constant foot traffic in and out of the pool area, which makes it feel hectic rather than relaxing. The pool experience, in particular, felt overcrowded and stressful. Overall: If your top priority is direct beach access, this hotel delivers. However, if you’re looking for a place to unwind, escape the crowds, and enjoy a calmer evening atmosphere, this is not it. For Marriott Bonvoy members especially, you’ll likely get more value and recognition at the Marriott Waikiki instead—even if it means crossing the street to reach the beach. This is a massive 1,000+ room hotel, so expect crowds, long check-in lines, and a generally hectic environment. The property feels more focused on volume than on hospitality

Outstanding Stay with Unbeatable Service
I had such an incredible first experience here that I knew I had to come back. This was my second time staying at this hotel, from January 9th–16th 2026, and once again my experience was outstanding! From the moment I stepped into the hotel, I was greeted with warm smiles from the staff. During check-in, I was welcomed by a lovely hotel clerk who asked about my day. I shared how excited I was to be back, and he was so kind, after noticing I was staying for seven nights, he generously upgraded me to an oceanfront view (I had originally booked a partial view). I didn’t realize just how lucky I was until I stepped into the room (739). The view was absolutely breathtaking, and I couldn’t help but smile! Although I didn’t catch his name, I truly can’t express how grateful I am, his kindness really set the tone for the rest of my vacation. The hotel’s location is also incredible —> just steps away from the beach and the Waikīkī Strip. Everything was within walking distance, making it super convenient. You also can’t beat the pool and the adults-only infinity pool. I went in daily to enjoy the water and the sunshine, and it was such a highlight of my stay. I’d also like to give a special shoutout to another staff member whose name I didn’t catch. She worked on the adults-only pool side, assisting with food and drinks. She was Australian with blonde hair, always had a warm smile, and consistently checked in to see if I needed anything—her service was exceptional. My room was always perfectly tidy and clean. The housekeeping staff member was incredibly kind and greeted me with an “Aloha” every time we crossed paths. Overall, the customer service here is truly unbeatable. I cannot wait to return for future vacations. I’ve already recommended this hotel to many friends, family members, and colleagues—and they’ve all had wonderful experiences as well. Thank you again for the outstanding hospitality and hard work. Mahalo!

Almost perfect
This is a very busy hotel, in the center of Waikiki, which is fine. Our room was very quiet, with a postcard view of the beach. The room was clean and housekeeping very efficient. The only reason it is rated a “4” is the curtains were useless in blocking the morning sunlight. Our room faced East, and the sun shone thru immediately. Otherwise, this was a perfect stay.
