very nice room and staff during six night stay!
I was traveling here for work and my sister stayed with me. Our flight arrived prior to check-in (Room #609) but glad we were able to get our room and enjoy the island before week started. The room faced the pool which was a nice view along with the DISTRITO T-Mobile area. You could also see the cruise ships in port. The room had two beds along with a desk and flat-screen TV, safe, fridge and closet. The bathroom had decent counter space but wish there were base rooms with a walk-in shower instead of tub. We used the attached parking garage each day. After checking-in, you can get an access card to get in and out of the garage and have it billed to your room. The gym had plenty of cardio and strength training equipment (Floor 3). The pool was very nice and faced the Distrito T-Mobile area. There were plenty of loungers around the pool as well as towels and water to stay hydrated. One day they came around the a pina colada freeze pop! Nice touch! There is a shuttle available to Escambron Beach and Old San Juan a couple times an hour. Note: This is a shared shuttle with a few other hotels in area, including the Hyatt properties. We used the shuttle a couple days and was a nice amenity.
Perfect weekend getaway
Thank you a memorable weekend. Your staff are my daughter and her friends feel like mini rockstars this weekend. From the check in bellboys, Jonathan and Neftalí, Choices server, Natalia, and the pool towel guy, they helped celebrate my daughter’s birthday. The rooms in the 11th floor were extremely clean and comfortable. The pool area was spacious and the breakfast buffet, though pricey, had great choices. Thank you again because at the end of the day it’s the staff that make an experience memorable.
Beautiful Hotel with Great Staff
We enjoyed five nights at the Sheraton in a king room on the 11th floor with a view of the harbor. Check-in was easy and they worked to give a nice view and got us into our room at 2 pm (rather than the 4 pm standard check-in time). Overall, the people were all outstanding (five stars for the staff), from the front desk, to the coffee shop, to the restaurant, and even at the casino. The lobby is a bit sparse for seating but has an excellent coffee shop and the restaurant off the lobby (Choices?) is great for breakfast. There is a nice bar area off the lobby where there is some seating and I saw many guests sitting in there working on their laptops. The elevators to the room is quick, but has access control requiring the use of the room key. The room was spacious, clean and quite. There is a small fridge in the room to keep drinks cool, and two bottles of complimentary water. Even though the hotel has a few years, the room looked new with few signs of wear. The bathroom has a single sink and a tub. I used the fitness room on the 3rd floor, and there are a number of treadmills, bikes and many weight machines. It is probably the best gym in a hotel I've seen both in terms of quality and quantity of equipment. There are towels, cool towels, and a filtered water dispenser. The pool area is nice. We mainly used the hot tub which is showing signs of wear and the jets or whirlpool feature didn't work. There is a nice little bar/cafe at the pool for drinks or snacks. There is a casino on-site with hundreds of slot machines and also a number of table games (craps, roulette, blackjack, etc.). On Sunday night it was packed, so it must be a popular casino. During the week it had people, but wasn't crowded. They were doing some renovation to the casino while we visited, so there were some areas roped off and black curtains covering up renovations. The hotel provides a shuttle to the beach and old San Juan, but wed didn't use it. We were told it ran about every 30 minutes be we generally just got an Uber, which were easy to get. The cost for an Uber to old San Juan ranged from about $5.50 to $10.00 without tip. Across from the hotel is the T-Mobile Distrito, which has about 10 restaurants and bars, and apparently host some live music periodically. Some restaurants were good, so not so much. La Burguesia had some pretty awesome burgers.
Worst hotel in entire Marriott brand. They hire inexperienced loud mouth young kids with no manners. Locals hog up the infinity pool and hot tub with their families and infinite number of kids. Food mediocre. Bartender in the lounge couldn’t make a simple margarita right.
A perfect night!
Jason was outstanding! Super friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. Made excellent recommendations! We had an awesome time and the food was delicious! Had three different sushi rolls as well as the Asian wings. All were fantastic!
