I was unable to stay at the hotel due to Hurricane Lowell. Road access from the southern part of the island to Lihue was cut off to due landslides and fallen trees. I paid for trip insurance but was denied as ‘hurricane warnings’ had been issued before my stay.

Loved the stay at this beach-facing property. The hospitality was warm, rooms were comfortable, breakfast buffet was sumptuous, and beach views and walks were perfect. Stargazing from this property was an out-of-the-world experience. Made great memories and plan to be back soon!

Terrible! Zero stars!!!
Zero stars!!! We stopped by the Sheraton to ask if we could charge our electric car because we are going on day 6 with no electricity due to the hurricane with a baby, using car to power a fan in the house so baby can sleep. The car is aLeo our transportation, this is an emergency. All of the chargers in Kapaa were unavailable and they have one that no one is using. Said we couldn’t use it!! Told us to drive to Lihue!!! We can’t drive to Lihue, need to charge car! Zero compassion, zero humanity, zero ALOHA. Just an evil corporation not looking out for the actual community in the slightest way. DO NOT book at the Sheraton!!!

Aloha Spirit to Serve
This hotel turned my disappointment of hospitality on the island around. The hotel staff from the housekeepers (clean rooms) to the front desk were a 10/10. The welcome was upbeat when I arrived with welcome drinks true spirit of Aloha! Kekoq who checked us in had that old school Marriott spirit to serve. Patrick and Paul the bellmen were so friendly helping with my mom’s mobility scooter in and out of the car. They were never grumpy or asking why. They were both warm and gracious to those who had low mobility, which I appreciate. On the last day, I met Lissa and Tarih at the front desk who sent us off well. The hotel is truly diversity-friendly. It didn’t matter what you looked like or where you came from; you could feel that everyone was genuinely welcomed and treated with kindness and respect. The hospitality was warm, personal, and inviting. It honestly felt like being welcomed into someone’s home rather than just checking into a hotel. That feeling of comfort and acceptance really stood out to me and made the experience even more enjoyable. I would definitely stay here again! Amenities included with resort fee 10/10. -action camera -bikes -beach chairs/umbrella/towels so many more things The beach in front of the hotel was amazing!

Absolutely terrible
I stayed here over the 4th of July week. I paid nearly a thousand dollars more for an ocean front room, but when we got to our room it directly faced another room and did not have any semblance of an ocean view (not even partial). When I spoke with the front desk they told me if you can even see a sliver of ocean by craning your neck around the edge of the balcony it is considered an ocean front (this room was 500+) a night. The balcony is not even big enough for two adults to sit in. We also spent the entire week cleaning up residual pubic hair that seemed to be all over the room and bathroom. The front desk told me they couldn’t do anything because it is not considered a full service resort and is just a motel. The pool is smaller than a motel 6 (and dirtier). There is also absolutely no beach so don’t book here thinking it is a beach vacation. They did offer to give us beach equipment to drive 15 minutes to a public beach, but when we went to get it they “were all out.” I sent in complaints before I made this review but not a single one was acknowledged. ABSOUTELY DO NOT BOOK THIS MOTEL IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A RELAXING HAWAIIAN VACATION. I also guarantee the response below is the same generic response as every other review. TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT
