Not as good as before, disappointed.
We were so excited to stay at this Sheraton again. We always stayed here for our Christmas shopping before and loved the convenience of having the Galleria so close but unfortunately, we won’t be staying here again. Our hotel room was not clean: the refrigerator had dirty crumbled paper towels shreds at the bottom of the door, the light fixture surfaces were incredibly dusty and looked like they had not been wiped down, and there was some areas that looked like they didn’t move the furniture to vacuum as there were crumbs. I’m pretty reasonable so I ignored it, thought no big deal. At one point we wanted to order room service and called the number twice but no-one ever answered. I then called the front desk and asked where I could access the menu in the room and she said if there wasn’t a QR code on the desk or by the coffee station in our room (which there wasn’t) that I could view it online. Ok, so I went online, looked at a few sites including this one for the room service menu and couldn’t find it. I called room service again twice, still no answer. My husband calls the front desk to ask them what site to view the menu on and the front lady tells them they don’t have room service. What?!?! It is close to dinner time anyway, so we don’t mess with room service anymore and just wait to eat then. We finally get back to dinner, ready to sleep well for the evening. One thing I can say about this hotel is that there beds are super comfortable to sleep in, so I was thinking we were going to sleep so well. Wrong. Everything in our room was loud and the walls were paper thin. My husband and I woke up a little after midnight, with guests in the hallway being extremely distruptive and loud, we felt like we were sleeping next door to a movie theater with our neighbors watching tv until 2 am, and someone next to us must have been taking a shower during that time because we heard water rushing through the pipes and it was so loud we thought the kids were going to wake up. Even the rain from outside of our building sounded like rushing water on a corner of the room every now and then - the strangest thing! Needless to say, in the morning we were ready to have breakfast and go. Some positives was that the breakfast attendant greeted us with a smile and the food was really good. The night before we left, there was a nice lady with the name of Melissa serving lemonade in the lobby and she was so sweet. Overall, we won’t be staying here again as we feel it lacked the service and good property management from before.
I would stay somewhere else
I work for the airlines and my company put me up here for training. I’ll be here for 25 days and the first week has been horrible. The front desk is nice at check in, but could care less about your stay. Had no hot water yesterday to take a shower. When I called to ask about it, they said “we’ll look into it”. I tried to wash my clothes in their laundry, both washer and dryer broke half way through the cycle., leaving me with a pile of wet clothes. The room doors slam shut so I never get any sleep. One of the elevators has been busted since I got here., so you wait and wait for an elevator. The restaurant is out of lots of items, and the C02 was out for the draft beer for a week. Two of our employees got their trucks broken into in their parking lot. The bathroom door is falling apart. When I asked to speak with a manager all I got was “sorry, no one here on the weekends to help you”. This hotel is not good.
Old hotel with sloppy remodeling
This was my second stay in this hotel, bathroom was much better but certain details were below par. Sloppy remolded job is hard to explain. Mold in corners, 30 year old fixtures . See pictures for more details. I am hoping Sheraton brand could much better.
Business for Business
I was only there for maybe a day or two and I had a blast. Although my trip was for work and other personal businesses, I personally enjoyed my stay there. People said, check out the breakfast, I did, let me tell you, the breakfast was great. The pool was perfect for the kids and for once in my life I had room service clean my room in a hotel, I greatly appreciated that. My room felt like the size of an apartment and I didn't have to worry about getting lost or cheated out of my money.
I recently stayed at this location over a week. When I first booked in my room was right in front of elevators. Being that I have add sleep schedule. Due to my job, I asked about switching rooms. Ms. D at the front desk went above abs beyond, making sure that i was 100% satisfied with my acomidations. She even went as far as to check in with me the following days to make sure I was still on and everything was to my liking. Truly impressive customer service.. thank you miss D Also, I can't forget Char (I'm not sure if I'm spelling that correctly) but not only was she kind and helpful, but she Ali made sure all my needs were met. Whenever a friend needs to be in the galleria/ Addison area and asks me for a recommendation I will always tell them to go visit Ms D., Ali, Kennedy, and Char @ the sheraton
