This is our 4th time at this resort. We feel so comfortable there and it is in a great location, so we keep coming back. We absolutely adored Irvin and Miquel at the Lobby Bar. Called us by name and knew our drinks (maybe we spent too much time there :) ). Alfonso at the pool bar was very attentive even with only one of the bars being open. Our room had a great view of the ocean and was very clean. Oceana's surf and turf was the best meal hands down we had. Our overall experience was very good, although a few small areas could be improved upon. We did not receive bottles of water daily unless we went and got it ourselves (not a huge issue of course). It seems like the room service menu was decreased in food options, and the 2 times we used it, the food was not hot or even warm. Will definitely be back.

We stayed at Secrets Puerto Vallarta from March 8–15, 2026. The food was excellent, the resort was very clean, and most staff were friendly and attentive. However, the experience was undermined by two incidents where I was abruptly asked to leave the pool after 8:00 a.m. while lap swimming—despite no clear policy and in a way that was unnecessarily embarrassing. More concerning, management promised follow-up but never did—neither during our stay nor afterward. A quality resort with strong fundamentals, but disappointing handling of a simple issue keeps this from being a top-tier experience.

Excellent way to spend a week!
What a beautiful resort! From the lobby to the rooms to the beautiful grounds and pools. The service everywhere was above expectation. All staff were so friendly and helpful. The view from the upper floor rooms is fabulous.

This was our second visit to this resort. We have been to 4 different Secret Resorts in the past few years. It seems that there is greater focus on attracting large loud wedding parties on every day of the week instead of taking care of your loyal guests. Almost every night we were bombarded by loud DJ’s and screaming wedding guests from dusk onwards. Restaurant options were limited, food and service were inconsistent. Management or supervision was nonexistent. We will not be Secrets loyal guests any longer. Beautiful resorts that are poorly run.
