Location was beautiful! Atmosphere was very friendly! Our room was very spacious, exceptionally with housekeeping everyday and turndown service every evening. Area was peaceful and quiet with great music and beautiful gardens, birds and other wildlife. Service was superb by all levels of staff. Management staff were exceptional, communicative, fun, and helpful! Special mention for our butler, Jose Becerra, who made our stay so relaxing and worry free especially during the threat of hurricane Simon that shortened our stay by 5 days. Thank you so much, Jose! We had the pleasure of dining at Bordeaux, Capers, Oceania, the Grill, and the daily food in the bar was exceptional! We have booked to return to Secrets in March 2027! Looking forward to another amazing stay!

Best Week Ever
Such an amazing week! The hurricane closing the beach did not prevent us from having an amazing time. The staff was incredible, they were nothing but kind and fun! Joshua from the entertainment team was a rockstar, such a great person! Jose was our butler and he was amazing, and great at keeping us up to date. The Amstar desk was helpful in helping us book incredible excursions. The food and drinks were delicious all week! Highly recommend.

Oct 12, 2026Average stay that fell short for the price – mixed dining experience
Our stay was average overall and fell below our expectations considering the nightly rate. Dining was a mixed bag: Bordeaux delivered exceptional service and great French food, but Tamarindo and Himitsu were major letdowns due to poor food quality, tough meat, and questionable freshness. The resort needs better culinary consistency to match its price tag.

While the hotel and dining facilities are as good as before. My butler Jose Beccera is helpful. The conceige valvet parking broke my car, asked me to pay by my insurance first, then asked me to pay first and refund later that will take days, rather than they pay directly the cost of damage to rental company. Only after wasting my whole day holiday to negotiate and could not use the car, and escalate to senior level they are willing to pay directly, but do nothing to compensate to my loss of holiday. It is definitely bad experience!!

Joshua is Amazing!!
Amazing trip!! Joshua with Entertainment is FABULOUS and made each day so fun!! Adrian and Wendy from breakfast Buffett truly love their jobs and taking care of customers! Made so many friends and will cherish these memories!
