I am a returning guest to this lovely hotel year after year for a reason.. I can truly relax here even when I travel alone and I feel completely at home, welcomed and valued as both an individual and a guest. Isn’t that what all hotels strive to achieve? I cannot recommend Secrets Lanzarote highly enough. The staff are the shining stars of this hotel. From the warm welcome at check in to the professionalism and kindness of the guest relations team led so professionally by Laura. I both experienced & witnessed kindness & attentiveness from the guest relations & restaurant teams, engaging with guests, ensuring they were comfortable, especially those with mobility challenges & taking time to make genuine connections. I was running the 1/2 marathon and when I returned to my room the day before, there was a good luck message with a water bottle as a gift. This was incredibly thoughtful & a real surprise. The location is perfect .. sitting right on the coast, it’s remained the last building in the line of development since it was constructed and maintains a clear view of the mountains beyond. The hotel & its extensive grounds are so well kept and clean and there is so much space, including in the bedrooms, that makes you feel calm the moment you arrive. If, like me, you are very fussy about the quality of sleep you get, I can honestly say that the mattresses are extremely comfortable. Breakfast buffet was lovely with a huge choice & it was a nice touch to have Cava included (& vodka alongside the tomato juice for mixing your own Bloody Mary’s!) The Spa treatments are fantastic.. I opted once again for the Volcanic Ritual which as usual was an amazing way to kickstart my holiday. Thoroughly recommended. The hotel put on a special event to celebrate the switching on of the Christmas lights whilst we were there and this was also impressive. I will certainly be back. Thank you to everyone at Secrets for making my stay yet another one to remember. Bravo!

Outstanding Experience – Already Planning Our Return! Excellent adult only retreat! We stayed in December 2024, initially planning for 14 nights, but by day 11, we loved it so much that we extended our stay by another 5 days. This resort exceeded our expectations in every way! Arrival and Check-In From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable. Yusuf from the concierge team greeted us with cold towels and a choice of drinks—beer for me and a glass of Cava for my partner. The check-in process was smooth, and Yusuf kindly escorted us to our room while taking care of our luggage. The Room Our room was bright, clean, and very comfortable. The only small issue was some bubbling noises from the drains, but it wasn’t disruptive enough to affect our stay. Dining • Breakfast: We loved eating al fresco every morning at a partially shaded table. The buffet was excellent, offering a wide variety of dishes that catered to all tastes. • Lunch: Most days, we had lunch at the Barefoot Grill around 3 PM. The food and drinks were consistently great. If Michael the chef is working, don’t miss his chicken burger—it’s fantastic and came highly recommended by the staff. • Dinner: The à la carte restaurants were a highlight of our evenings. Bluewater Grill was my favorite, with delicious garlic prawns, perfectly cooked filet steak, and a lovely glass of Rioja. The T-bone and sirloin steaks were also excellent. Portofino is another standout restaurant, with equally impressive dishes. The Staff The staff truly made our stay exceptional. Let's start with the positives. Staff on the hole very friendly and helpful. Restaurants, fabulous choice of options. Very clean around the property. Nice and quiet and relaxing. Not so good. A very cold welcome at check in from Cathy. First impression!!! Breakfast in the preferred restaurant stone cold meals. A/C in the room didn't work,stayed at 21c all the time. Maintenance twice came out and said it's been fixed. It has not. To hot to sleep!!!! 5* hotel, having towel cards, come on, not going to take them home!! A lot of steps around the property. Showing some where and tears in rooms and corridors Little eye contact with some staff members, so just leave you waiting. Re-visit again, maybe.

Overpriced.
If this was a 3 or 4 star hotel with room prices of max €180,- a night, the review would be 4 or even 5 stars. But a 5 star hotel with room prices €400,- plus, this hotel is really very average (or less). Rooms are very noisy, housekeeping comes in after knocking but before any response regularly (no "do not disturb" signs available), reception is slow (lots of beginners and interns), very few activities organized. It is really not bad at all. But it is far from 5 stars against such room price.

Adults only, Premium All Inclusive
We booked a last minute Premium all inclusive week in the sun. Our room was very disappointing as it only had a tiny shower that was really old fashioned & could have done with an update especially as the toilet was very temperamental. However, we had a very enjoyable week, with excellent restaurants, food, drinks and attentive staff. We went to the buffet a couple of times and were blown away at the choice, display and quality of food. We used the Spa most days and Alicia was amazing at massages. Not a cheap holiday but we would definitely return as we enjoyed the Adults only aspect.
