    Great resort!

Everyone was great at this resort! The beach, the food, the accommodations. Only thing that was a problem for us was the wait time to get into the restaurants. There were no reservations required, only at the Hibachi, but we would be waiting from 20-40 minutes for a table

Ignore the negative reviews, this place was great

I saw the reviews were not so great on this resort when researching and kept my expectations low as my parents just went to a Secrets Costa Majeures last year and they said that resort was AMAZING. I think the reviews on Secrets Aura Cozumel is unfair with the low ratings. Either there are snobby rich people that expect gold and silver and to be kissed on their feet or something. But for me, plain ole Jane who has traveled the world and literally got back from an Antarctica expedition and Tonga, I thought my experience and stay was absolutely wonderful. When I arrived to the resort, I was greeted with a drink and extremely friendly staff. I came to surprise my parents as they were vacationing here, since I don't live in the same state as them. We were both upgraded for free from the junior suite to the swim up pool King suites. Ummm yessss. When entering the room, everything is clean and seemed up to date. The air conditioner worked the entire time and kept the room cool. There was no leaking of the air conditioner, although two people (including my parent's room) on the same trip did have their air conditioner flood their room but it did not happen to me. Maid service was top tier and my room was always cleaned and waters and fridge restocked daily. I felt safe even leaving my slider door open to swim up to the bar and lay by the pool for hours. The staff is absolutely amazing. I loved Luz, Wendy "Bingo", and Timmo. They really kept the activities going and kept us entertained as well as their smiley bubbly personalities kept a smile on our faces. All the bartenders and servers did a remarkable job. They work their butts off. If there was one issue is that some restaurants would be closed some days and opened others, and you didn't know which ones were open when. But that was the least of my worries. The cafe market was REALLY good for being a buffet. I was really impressed. The sit down restaurants did not change menu often at all, but that didn't bother me. My drink was always full as staff come around constantly to fill it. Everyone at Secrets was very attentive, kind, and willing to help. I would come back here in a heartbeat. The other half of the resort is under construction, but I never heard it during my stay. They are trying their best to keep the resort running while also renovating. The gym was awesome too for what I needed. Take a chance on this place and go after the big spring break flow.

    Secrets Cazemul is Good

Secrets Cazemul while being a good place to stay, it is showing its age. In reading other reviews that mention aging rooms, tired maintenance, sewage smells and outdated amentities, these are all true. The Staff are amazing! Courteous, friendly and professional. They make the establishment great and your stay fun. Overall, the setting is wonderful. Beautiful beaches, good choice of restaurants and activities. The Preffered Club is also lacking in value. The Preferred amenities are barely noticable and the Pool area is OVERCROWDED with too little seating.

    Amazing vacation

Wonderful time … Beautiful beach Room was updated and clean. Guadalupe kept our room spotless. Had breakfast and lunch every day at the Oceana Sergio was amazing as well as Rosana ,Yonatan ,Elizabeth ,and Chef Ricardo . Had dinner at the Bordeaux and Dolores was also great! The employees really make your stay special and really care that you are taken care of and having a great time . Every meal we had was delicious. Wendy and Luce aka Lucy with entertainment team so fun . Yes the resort may be a little older … but still beautiful and charming.. but the employees make the resort truly special !! The Oceana team even made us special breakfast and lunches !

Go for the view not the food

This is a beautiful resort with an amazing view. The ocean view rooms are stunning. Comfy bed, great shower with water pressure. Clean. Very friendly staff. For this, I would return. The food would be a reason I would pick somewhere else. However, if you catch a fish, they will cook it on site and that as the best meal there! Also, walk out of The hotel gates and about a 30 yard walk is a little shack of a place with The. best. tacos. Hands down. Also, unless you go on the all about the resort tour aka timeshare tour- they don’t give you much information on what the place has to offer other than a map.
