    Great location, great time, BUT unappreciated ....

    Sometimes you don't feel appreciated as a lifetime Gold member. My stay last weekend (arrival, evening of Sunday, April 7th) was one such occasion. The hotel has a great location on the west side of the SF Bay, just south of SFO airport. Great views of the bay and the airplanes taking off and landing from the hotel bar/restaurant and the walking trail just outside. I had a great time with my co-workers, EXCEPT as a lifetime Gold member I was given a room that overlooked a construction site. Mind you, this hotel is at a GREAT LOCATION, but this HAD to be the WORST view in the whole hotel. It was one of a limited number of rooms that overlooked a noisy construction site. (I think it was on purpose). The individual who checked me in did not even acknowledge my 18+ years of loyalty to Marriott (with approximately 750 room nights). It was a quick two-day trip and I was tired from a 5+ hour cross-country flight, so I did complain at the time. I would LOVE to give this hotel a much higher rating, but my experience with that check-in staff member ... This is the second (in a row) bad experience with check-in staff at a Marriott property, I'm re-evaluating my loyalty.

    Checked in around 2:30 PM on a Monday. Shane processed every thing smoothly and quickly, then explained what we needed to know about Elite options. What a delight he is. Later, Bob saw him again and Shane inquired if we needed anything. Everyone at Marriott is lovely and helpful, but some are a bit more so and go the extra mile for guests. Thanks Shane. Our room was quiet, comfy, VERY clean, and laid out well. Marriott beds are always the best. We’ve stayed there before and we’ll stay again.

    Spring delight!

    I was there for 2 days meeting, and the team was outstanding from front desk thru culinary experience. The special touches in the lady's room to the spring flowers sprinkled throughout the public space was clear indication that the team is about attention to detail. The hotel is beautiful, clean, well appointed, the staff was warm & hospitable. I totally enjoyed my time here and would strongly recommend this hotel for business and pleasure. It is nothing like what you expect from airport hotel, expect to be delighted

    Avoid - Sooo Many Better Choices - Zero Ambassador Benefits

    Disappointing and underwhelming. Outdated property in dire need of updating. Bathroom ceilings are low drop-ceilings with poor ventilation. Terrible sanitation and cleanliness standards. Noted nail clippings, pubic hair, cookie crumbs under the nightstand phone and other detritus that was human in origin on the comforter. What's frustrating is that I messaged the front desk because the phone was inop asking for help addressing my cleanliness concerns. I was told it would be taken care of while I was at dinner and never was. When I alerted the front desk my room was not serviced and issues not addressed, I was blown off and never received a response. Zero Ambassador benefits or recognition. Lounge breakfast was disappointing - protein served was "ham steak" that resembled ham, but was orange in color. Lounge bar/restaurant was fair. Poor service, overpriced cocktails (took three times to get my order correct). There are many other options in this area - avoid this property at all costs. Poor leadership, Ambassador loyalty not valued (will forward feedback to my personal Ambassador in hopes it helps the property) and poor overall operational leadership. Finally, no valet parking and you have to walk 1/4 mile from your parking spot to the hotel entrance.

    Discrimination and inappropriate treatment

    I tried to use the computer and tried to find a cord to charge my laptop and the guy gave me a hard time. Also this lady on the Mclub said I look upset. Why is this hotel discriminating against us? I am sending Anthony Capuano an email so he can look into this.
