So far not very good and would not recommend
Not satisfied with the service or food, the staff are very good but not happy generally with hotel especially the hotel app, it seems as though I have arrived from the wrong country as the Americans get much better service

My experience at the Royalton CHIC
Formal Complaint Regarding Stay – Multiple Service Issues Dear Hotel Manager / Guest Services at Marriott and Royalton CHIC , I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with my recent stay on April 8 - 12 at your property the Royalton CHIC .Unfortunately, the experience fell far below expectations due to several service and maintenance issues. First, I checked in early and was told my room would be ready at 3:00 PM. However, I did not receive a room until after 3:45 PM, which caused a significant delay and inconvenience. Once I finally entered the room, the television and phone was not working properly. I reported this to four different staff members, yet the issue was partially resolved.Additionally, there was no “Do Not Disturb” or please make up room sign in the room, and I had to request one separately. The room also lacked basic information, such as instructions for using the phone and operating the TV. The only reading material provided was a book promoting other places to stay, which felt inappropriate given the circumstances. The hair dryer was also a main problem and safety issue. When plugging in the hair dryer it automatically came on and sucked my hair in and was starting to burn. I unplugged the hair dryer and it was either to cut my hair or carefully pull my hair out one by one to get freed from hair dryer. I requested a new one and that one had the same issue. I had to request a new replacement and show them what was missing. The rear screen was missing on two of them. I also experienced problems with food service. When I went to the food truck to purchase a burger, I was told I could not be served because they had no plates. During this time, one employee fell out of the food truck and another attempted to help her, at which point the step gave out. After waiting approximately 3½ hours, I was still unable to get food. Also experiencing a restaurant that was supposed to open early. The grill was not even turned on as well as them not have any kind of red, green or yellow peppers to make an omelette . Very little cheese was available. Some times I was told we don’t have anymore. To make matters worse, there were flying moths in the room, which further impacted comfort and cleanliness. Overall, the stay was frustrating and did not meet reasonable standards for service, maintenance, or guest care. Stay elsewhere!
Location is beautiful. Rooms have been remodeled and are clean. Resort overall dated, worn, and not clean. Cushions are stained and dirty in the lobby, glass windows and doors are dirty throughout the resort. Dirty glasses, dishes, and napkins are left by the pool for hours on end. Service is hit and miss and staff is not very friendly. Guest services is horrible to deal with. Making a dinner reservation at a specialty restaurant for a group of 6 or more is almost impossible. Breakfast at the buffet is the best meal of the day. The food leaves something to be desired. Overall, for what you pay this resort is not worth it and we will never return. We have been traveling out of country to all inclusive resorts for 30 years and this is the worst one by far.

Great resort often let down by service
The resort was one of high highs and low lows, making for a very good but also frustrating stay. Location is perfect. A short 15 minute ride from the airport. Water is incredible and the beach beautiful and well groomed. The hotel itself is a great scale. Big enough to feel somewhat anonymous but not massive and soulless. Nicely designed and well kept gardens. Rooms are modern and tastefully decorated, albeit with some weird dysfunctions. No charging sockets next to the bed, confusing light switches in the bathroom. An iron, but no ironing board. Great AC - very quiet and effective. Great water pressure. Housekeeping was super inconsistent. The room was always kept clean, but restocking towels, toiletries, in-room snacks and mini fridge were never the same twice. Usually not done until very late in the day. Often had to call guest services to address issues. Restaurants were good quality. Food was better than most all-in buffets and restaurants. Again the service was inconsistent. At times, really attentive; other times slow and disengaged. The coffee bar was a highlight; nice beverages, sandwiches and pastries served by friendly team members. Daytime activations crew were excellent. Fun and not overbearing. Evening shows were great; professional and high energy. Bell men were professional and friendly. Beach and lobby bar tenders were quick and very nice. Weak links were pool bar and front desk. Main pool bar service was invariably slow, indifferent and often dismissive. It also appears to be a self--serve model. Only on one day (out of seven) did a server work the poolside. A Diamond Club upsell was offered, including poolside service but the lack of this service falls below expectation for a brand calling itself "luxury". Front desk was a disaster and terrible first impression. No room ready for a 5pm check-in and various tall tales offered. First, the room type reserved was supposedly unavailable until the next day, then no room in our "category" (implying that one would be available in a higher category, for purchase), then miraculously and after a lot of pushback, the room type reserved was available after all. These teams seem to lack the skills, incentives and/or management to do the job to a consistently good standard. A management re-think needed. Overall, a very nice time but mediocre value in view of the service and definitely not a luxury resort unless service issues are addressed.

Back to the RUI resorts for us
Location - 10 Atmosphere - 6.5 Rooms 7.. agent requested king bed got 2 doubles, cleaning could have been better Value - 5 .. ran out of beer, ice, vodka, champagne, wine waitstaff at out side bars were HORRIBLE.. Food .. meh 🫤 though the Italian restaurant was amazing shout out to Sasha and Alba, you need more wait staff like them!!! Would NOT return and would NOT recommend
