GREAT LOCATION RIGHT ON THE BEACH WITH WONDERFUL SETTING.
Go First Class and enjoy this marvelous Resort as it has so much to offer. Also within walking distance to the local shops & restaurants if you are up for that or hop on the FREE Shuttle to get a good look around at what else is around as it is an enjoyable free Hop On, Hop Off Tour that takes about 1 hour if you just stay on the Bus.

Our stay in unit #202
We had a last minute trip and were lucky to stay at unit #202. The unit is very tastefully decorated, the resort has lovely amenities, great parking and amazing location. We enjoyed the lovely lanai and enjoyed amazing naps on the terrace while listening to the sounds of the ocean. From the bedroom you can hear the waves at night and wake up to a cup of coffee with views of ocean and palms. Impeccable customer service from the receptionists. The place is very conveniently located, nearby bicycle stations and Kona free trolley stop very near the resort.

Looks hide deficiencies in the resort
The resort has eye appeal, but the looks hide deficiencies in the rooms. We stayed there in April and found the AC to be insufficient. One of the engineers told me that the equipment cannot handle the load during hot weather. We were staying in a room at the end of the end and found that the AC could not cool the room. The garbage disposal in the kitchenette had an odor and the washing machine was dirty. There was mold on the AC vent. The awning over our balcony was made of fiberglass and during a rain in the middle of the night it sounded like the roof was draining onto the covering--it resembled someone hammering the awning. Insult to injury-- there was a substantial cleaning charge and the room was expensive. I would avoid this place.

Paradise condo
We splurged on an ocean view unit for our family vacation. Unit 314 did not disappoint! Very spacious, well equipped kitchen and spectacular views. With both a covered lanai and expansive sun deck, we enjoyed more than 180 degrees of gorgeous ocean views. The complex was well maintained and quiet. We never had a problem finding parking. Used the pool only once and found it to be well maintained as well. I would highly recommend for a family. We were sad to say goodbye at the end of our week.

Excellent stay!
We are Wyndham owners and chose this resort because of its proximity to the ocean. There is no beach access but that is to be expected on the Big Island. I am so happy we chose this place! Our view of the sunset from the 6th floor was breathtaking. We have stayed in many Wyndham facilities and the staff at the Royal Sea Cliff Kona were the friendliest of any we've seen. The unit we stayed in (two bedroom/two bath) was very clean and well equipped. The full kitchen enabled us to cook and eat in when we wanted. The in-room washer/dryer is also very convenient. There is beautiful landscaping in the center of the buildings that make you feel like you are out on a trail. The only thing I can think of that would have made the place better is if there were a place onsite to purchase food and/or drinks. But it is very close to town and stores, so that isn't a dealbreaker. It is one of the quietest places we have ever stayed. It will be our go-to for future visits to the Big Island.
