    More than expected!

    This was a first time experience at a Riu resort and we were amazed. The restaurants on the property were amazing.

    Great family vacation destination

    The hotel and beach are beautiful. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed doing yoga and salsa dancing lessons with Mimi. Our teen had her 16th bday, and the staff sent a cake and gift to the room. The evening entertainment was fun, though loud if you're trying to get to bed earlier. Overall, the whole family had a wonderful time.

    Great stay

    Our family had a great vacation at Riu Vallarta. Everything was great - food, drinks, clean rooms, entertainment and the staff. Location is far from Malecon.

    Amazing stay with my family

    We went to this resort for 10 days, and had a great time, food was great, room was beautiful and beach and pools were wonderful!! A few things to know we booked the front suite rooms on the 2nd floor which were quiet and nice to not have to wait for the elevator. Its the quiet area of the hotel as you'll read reviews that say the inner facing rooms that are loud. The layout for the suites are amazing and its nice to have the mini bar with liquor in it. If you needed more things in mini bar you could call and they would show up right away to restock. Like all resorts that are busy you will need to get out and put towel on pool chair by 730am if you want one. The beach chairs are always available but there isnt much shade. There is a guy who will rent you an umbrella for 10 USD a day but we cabbed it to walmart and bought one for $40 so that was worth it! The entertainment team is wonderful and work so hard, all the bartenders are amazing and the drinks were all great! The buffet had a fanatic selection. But the way they do the al la carts is annoying, you have to show up and wait in line at 515/530pm to try and get in when they open at 6. I would definitely stay at this resort again! The Jallisco next door looks great too but I think is bigger and louder as it has the disco you can go to at night which stays open till 3am.
