This resort has everything you need. It was a great time, and the food was pretty good as well. We stayed at the Santa Fe, which we could not go to the other RIU properties. If you can book the RIU palace and that gives you the access to go to the other RIU resorts close.

Great, Clean Hotel with some Ups & Downs
Hotel is kept very very clean in all areas. Only down we had was having to call to get our fridge restocked and we had our room flooded 5 times from the rains due to the room being beside an opening and waters coming in. As the hotel is aware certain rooms flood when hurricane season we would of liked for housekeeping to check it through the day and not wait for us to return to the room and have to call everyone and then wait for someone. 3 times I helped the staff squeegee the floor as the only had one small lady come and the water was coming in faster than she could handle. Overall was a good holiday but would recommend staying away from the first two rooms on each side of the building entrances during hurricane season. Connie, Raul, Jesus for buffet were excellent. Javier, Cynthia and Edib were great bar servers and always friendly. Maricela and Edililia were our housekeepers and did a wonderful job. I didn’t catch the name of the housekeeper that work nights in building 3 but she tried her best to keep us dry and apologized for the water in our room. Riu parties were loud and fun for those who enjoy that type of thing.

Oct 20, 2026flooding mess Riu Sanfe
On 9/29/2026 had the worst experience with Riu Sanfe woke up at 3:00am in morning I was awakened to my friend Ms. Lewis was going to bathroom and noticed that her feet was wet and upon turning light on in the room noticed pools of water in different areas on the floor . At this time i was awakened and called the front desk to notify the representative of the pools of water and bring towels etc. Upon checking we saw that the water was coming in from the celling over top of the coffee maker. The pools of water dried in room as well as the hall After maintenance person left On 10/02/2026, I went to front desk at approximately 7:00am . and put in a complaint about the flood and asked to be reassigned to another room. We were reassigned to 3129 which was on the second floor and had to be current room by 11:00am. We packed up our belongings and left them in room 3205 for pick up by staff and transference to a new room. We were unable to get into the reassigned room of 3129 until after 2:00 pm Once checking into reassigned room. On 10/03/2026 between 3:00 a.m.-4:00a.m. Ms. Lewis slipped and fell on her way to the bathroom. She felt water under her feet on the floor that we found (once turning on the light water was coming from sliding glass door and also the front door coming from the hallway. I woke up when i heard her fall. Again i call the front desk to notify a representative of the room being flooded. This Flooding was much worse than the water in prior room. The front desk representative sent same maintenance person that had serviced the room previous day. The representative came and removed the water i videotaped the both cleanups of 10/01 & 10/03/26. On 10/04/2026 the floor was flooding again and noticed in the middle of the night again i would never recommend this resort to anyone terrible experience

Overall decent but staff were not super friendly and never went above and beyond. Rooms were clean and food was good.

Very large resort and would have expected golf carts or similar to get around. Female staff were friendly but the male staff seemed to have "attitude ", except for entertainment staff who were all very pleasant

4. Student / Spring Breaker Groups are excluded from our Price match policy for contracted groups!
5. If a Student / Spring Breaker Group is accepted:
a. The number of rooms will be deducted from the contracted allotments
b. Minimum Age requirement: 21 years of age or older.
c. The Hotel may request proof of age in the form of passport or official ID
d. Each room must submit a signed liability agreement upon check-in.
6. At all other RIU properties Student Groups / Spring Breakers (either groups or individuals,
regardless of age) are not allowed at any time during the year

Please be advised that Riu Hotels & Resorts will use any and all means at our disposal to identify and cancel suspected Student / Spring Breaker Groups. Partners should abstain from quoting Riu properties for groups which they suspect may be youths traveling together for said purposes.
9. With regards to Riu Liability in these cases.
RIU Hotels & Resorts is in no way responsible for the consequences and or lawsuits that may ensue due to rejection of unauthorized spring breakers arriving on Riu property.
Riu Hotels and Resorts withholds right of admission and will take the necessary steps to safeguard the All-inclusive leisure experience for which it prides itself, and which our mutual clients have come to expect. We consider it our obligation to protect those clients against unruly, unsecure, unhealthy, dangerous, noisy, obnoxious and in any other way, disruptive behavior. Riu Hotels and Resorts has a zero-tolerance policy in regards to this issue.
10. Student / Spring Breaker Groups must comply with any protocols (hotel and government) in place at the time of stay at the hotel.
