Lovely, welcoming and friendly hotel.Easy check in, kept our luggage while we went out to explore. Received a email to indicate when room was ready which was very handy. Comfortable and very spacious room. All the essentials in the room provided. The hotel is centre on the main high street, close to the canal. Lives our stay. Thank you all

Great
Great location, rooms spacious and good facilities. Staff helpful and friendly. In new part of the hotel but there was traffic noise in the early morning.

Arrived to the hotel off a long haul flight on the coldest night of the season and given a room 3034, that appeared not to be used in a while, as the room was terribly cold! Reserved a Junior Suite and this room 3034 wasn’t defined as a Junior Suite! The heating system wasn’t working properly and management hadn’t taken any action to fix the heating system! Requested extra bedding, because nothing was supplied and it took forever for someone to arrive with it! When I informed management of my concerns, I got fobbed off with excuses! The only best part of the stay was the breakfast in the morning! Left the hotel feeling very uncomfortable and developed a nasty infection because of the uncomfortable nights sleep at this hotel! The Gresham in Dublin used to be a fine hotel back in the day, but it’s seriously lost credibility and it’s not worth the money staying there anymore!

Room 4042
Room 4042 I recently stayed in Room 4042 at the Riu Plaza The Gresham and had a truly memorable experience. The bedroom was comfortable, calm, and beautifully appointed, with a fantastic bed that made mornings hard to leave. The Writers Bar is a real highlight , excellent service, delicious food, and a stunning view over the vibrant O’Connell Street. It’s the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the city’s energy. The hotel staff were exceptional throughout my stay. Reception was welcoming and well organised, and the waiting staff were friendly, attentive, and professional. Breakfast exceeded expectations , generous, varied, and smoothly run to ensure a relaxed start to the day. Having visited The Gresham on and off for the past 30 years, it’s wonderful to see how well the hotel has been maintained while modernising where needed. The location is unbeatable, and the grand building adds real character and occasion to any stay. Comfort, excellent service, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere make the Riu Plaza The Gresham a hotel I would happily return to and highly recommend to anyone visiting Dublin. R

Jan 12, 2026Luke warm soup and no service
Having been in your gorgeous hotel on many the occassion, todays lunch was more than disappointing....the carrot soup although very tasty was only luke warm, but we let that pass, ..however. .( while placing our order , we requested that the 2 soups and a sandwich would arrive at the same time,......but we had indeed finished our soup, by the time the sandwich had arrived ) The same sandwich had then to be returned to the kitchen, as the bread was stale ....When the new sandwich came out eventually, it arrived with no appology..... This might sound pretty trivial, but for a high class hote we did expect 4 star treatment for loyal customers Thanking you, I remain, Dee shanny..
