Very well located hotel for Manhattan attractions. Just a few minutes from time square. Rooms are small but expected for New York. Breakfast excellent - it’s busy but we didn’t have to wait for tables. Lifts are very busy in a morning but ok as long as you factor the time in.

Hotel Riu was a brilliant location for our stay. Within a few minutes of 5/6/7/Avenue Broadway ,Times Square and Subway stops for travelling. We got breakfast at 6.45 or 7am every day, it was busy but plenty of room, well organised and a wide selection of food. We were on 5th floor room facing 8th Avenue, but no problem sleeping after a long day sightseeing. All staff were so pleasant, well-trained and helpful. Room was very clean, spotless bathroom, super shower. We got Airtrain and subway from JFK airport to hotel, about 55 minutes in total , cost $13, very easy and no need for a taxi.

Great Hotel
Great location, friendly staff, great breakfast selection. My only issue was the "frosted" glass in the shower that faces the room. I brought suction cups and a cheap shower curtain and it did the trick. Otherwise I enjoyed the experience.

First time visiting NYC
Location, Location, Location! Right in the heart of it all, this hotel places you right where you need to be. Great rooms & fantastic staff. I would recommend to anyone and would stay here again.

3 min walk to Times Square. Fantastic Stay at Riu Plaza Times Square. Clean, polite, comfortable
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A fantastic stay at Riu Plaza Times Square — definitely a hotel I would return to! We stayed in room 2612, which faced Times Square. The location was fantastic and gave us that amazing New York feeling. The room was very clean and comfortable. It was a little on the small side for three adults, as it had a double bed and a sofa bed, but it worked perfectly well for a city break. Check-in was very quick and straightforward, and the breakfast was fantastic. There was a great selection, with plenty to enjoy before heading out to explore New York. A special mention must go to Christophe, the Security Manager. He was always willing to go the extra mile, genuinely greeting and engaging with guests, helping us with directions, and even assisting with the lifts. His friendly and genuine attitude really made a difference to our stay. The only things to be aware of are the busy lifts, particularly in the morning, when we sometimes waited up to 10 minutes, and the breakfast queues, which could be around 10–15 minutes during busy periods. Given the hotel’s central location and popularity, this is understandable, but it is worth allowing some extra time. The 12 p.m. check-out is a fantastic bonus and made our last morning much more relaxed. The bell service was also absolutely fantastic! We were even offered a taxi to the airport at a lower price than an Uber, which was incredibly convenient. Overall, we were very happy with our stay. Great location, clean rooms, fantastic breakfast, and genuinely helpful staff. 3 min walk to Times Square
