A great hotel and lovely staff
This was a great hotel, basic but 5 stars to the staff that work there. Always a smile on their faces. They work long hours and still manage to talk to you with a smile and respect. Some people will complain that the all inclusive does not always include alcohol. You just need to step out the hotel to see why. Every two minutes we walked the on the main strip of bars and shops, you saw people drunk and passed out on the floor. The food and restaurants were great and ended up eating more than I should have. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Reberto was a one man team and did his best to entertain guests during the day. Evening entertainment was not great in my opinion, but saw many that stayed and enjoyed it. It is also great for families with young children.

Classic RIU Excellence
Just back from my third stay at the RIU chain where I experienced classic, RIU Excellence, Accommodations: The hotels and rooms were a perfect blend of contemporary style and comfort. Spotless, spacious, and smartly designed, rooms offered ample space for belongings, 2xUSB charging, a powerful hairdryer, a large safe, and a fridge capable of cooling. The bathroom had several thoughtful touches that added to the overall experience. i faced the streetside and had no issues with noise. The only minor hiccup was the nighttime lighting from the bathroom - a bit too bright for my taste, given it shines through the opaque (yey private) bathroom wall glass . A problem if your partner gets up a lot as it takes ages to go off and can't be controlled Poolside: Although I didn't get a chance to dip in, the pools looked very inviting. The sunbeds, however, seemed to be in ultra-high demand and were often reserved super early. We tried twice; everything was gone by 8:30. We walked the whole range and nothing. Dining: The culinary journey at RIU is nothing short of spectacular. Every dish seemed to outdo the last,The staff was attentive, friendly, and always ready to assist. Do note, gents; there's quite a strict dress code for the evening - make sure you're appropriately dressed. Note that a black plain synthetic pair of shorts is banned but a full bright colorful football kit is perfectly fine all on the basis of no casualwear - whatever that means. For ladies truly anything goes. Bar: No hotel in the resort is legally allowed to offer a typical all-inclusive selection of alcohol, This RIU is not an exception to the law. The bar prices were generally lower than standard resort rates. Remember to keep an eye on your tab if you're charging drinks to your room. Guests/ Surrounding / Travel Tips: Most guests in hotel and resort are German, but communication was never once an issue. The hotel is located in a very lively and vibrant part of the resort, and offers a safe and joyful atmosphere. The local land train runs frequently and is a convenient but more expensive mode of transport costing 5 Euros per person from the aquarium to the hotel (40 min walk). If you wish to visit the aquarium, book your slots early, as they fill up fast. Bus rides to Palma are 2 euros per person and free return. The closer you get to the aquarium the quieter the beach. But be aware the water is a little deeper at that end if that bothers you. In conclusion, my stay at RIU was not my favourite but still delightful. Can't wait for my next visit to the chain!

Excellent hotel in every way!
Wow, what a fantastic hotel! I (38 years old) went alone with 2 children aged 12 and 13. We had 5 nights at the hotel, and it was a big disappointment to go back home. We wish we could have stayed so much longer! In the area there are 2 great pools, one large and one smaller. There is also a swim-up bar with an 18-year limit and a sun terrace for everyone. There is a separate outdoor dining area with seating under a roof with ceiling fans, and an outdoor bar. There were plenty of sunbeds everywhere, never a problem getting sunbeds! The guests were of all ages and so well behaved. There was always a good atmosphere both outside and inside the hotel. It is great that the hotel has a limit of a maximum of 3 alcoholic drinks for lunch and dinner (beer/wine). In this way, good behavior is maintained among the guests, which makes the hotel suitable for absolutely everyone! There was never a queue anywhere either at the bar outside or in the lobby bar, or at any of the buffet meals. The hotel has so much space for everyone, it is spacious and airy. We stayed in a standard room on the 5th floor with a balcony facing the pool. We had a fantastic view and we didn't hear a single sound at night. There is very good air conditioning that can be regulated manually in the room, both temperature and fan power. It blows evenly and does not make noise. In the hotel, there were plenty of staff everywhere. They were cheerful and hospitable, greeted and smiled. Outside and inside, they were good at cleaning all the time. Everywhere in the hotel area is extremely clean! Nice modern interior and colors. Very good location, the beach is only a short walk away. If you don't want to go through the lower part of the street, which is the party area, you can easily walk one of the parallel streets instead. There is incredibly good food throughout the hotel. You always find something good to eat. There are long opening hours for the buffet meals. There is a good variety with the food, and great quality! There is really no difference between the food on board a cruise ship and the food at this hotel. Very good!! You also have everything you can think of with various drinks, juice, soft drinks, water. In the evenings there was entertainment on the outdoor stage in the hotel grounds and own activityleaders who created various outdoor activities during the day. I really recommend this hotel. We will be back as soon as possible!! Thank you so much for making our holiday memorable!

Realy lovely hotel
All the hotel staff at riu playa park were friendly helpful and very efficient. The hotel was very clean and the rooms were large and well decorated and spotlessly clean. The food was delicious plentiful and the sweets were a delight. Pools were lovely and there were lots of sunbeds. Good value for money would definitely return in the future. Maybe not in June though when the young come for their end of exams, but they were very polite no trouble really just a bit noisey and in good spirits. Overall a lovely break for the three of us. Well done playa park

Great hotel bad location
Booked our holiday to Majorca, based on this hotel having great reviews. Myself and partner have just come back and we were really pleased with the hotel itself but the location was very disappointing to say the least. The hotel was spotlessly clean, room was cleaned every day and fresh towels provided. All inclusive package and we were very happy with the food, couldn’t fault it. Just be mindful that it is only three drinks specifically when eating lunch and dinner. Pool area was nice but some of the pool areas especially the swim up bar wasn’t a very pleasant environment. As a couple we were looking forward to walking out of an evening and perhaps trying something different but this wasn’t possible with what I can only describe as something you would expect maybe in magaluf and everything catered specifically for Germans. Lots of very heavily drunken groups, loads of chanting in German, beach was filled with the same environment. We had to walk a good km up the beach to find anything resembling decent. All in all hotel was nice, food great but didn’t feel like we were in Spain at all. Very disappointed
