Jamaica 1st time
Fantastic holiday, best we've been on 14 nights, place people food boss, just make sure you take plenty of factor 50 as in the shop its $30 and 2 paracetamol is $3 Any chance to RIP tourists off. Taxi anywhere was $15 each Did a boat trip which was great $100 each. Most women will miss not being able to do some shopping down the road. Hotel shop very expensive. Loved it though and would love to go again.
First time in Jamaica , gorgeous hotel right on the beach with the most amazing clearest sea I’ve ever seen , Spent most of our time in the sea on floats which is a must to take with you , Hotel is really nice , very clean , very spacious rooms Food was good , there is a jerk chicken hut on the beach if you don’t fancy the trip to the buffet , Staff really great and always ready to help you . Pool bar is great in the morning but later on it gets really busy and loud HOWEVER please be aware the safe as in our room had money taken out not dollars but £100 plus so just be warned and keep track of what you put in there Would highly recommend this hotel just didn’t like trip from the airport which is quite a distance 👍
This was my first and will not be my last time in Jamaica. From start to end I had a wonderful solo trip. I arrived and had my booked private transfer with TagJamaica, shout out to the driver that took me to try a beef patty, and Club Mobay that provide some nice drinks in the arrivals and departure lounge. The hotel was beautiful and my room was the best, 4206 a most book. Shout out to Roy and Shashoy that made me feel welcome with the strong drinks. The food and service was top notch, along with the entertainment team that keep the spirit alive during the day and night. The specialty restaurant now do reservations only and it was never an issue to get into any restaurant. I tried 3 of the 4 since I’m not a big fan of Japanese. The buffet was wonderful with the different assortment of food. All in all I will be back and will book that room and hotel over and over again.
Took our 2 grandsons (10 & 13) with us ... side by side rooms perfect. We all had a blast. The good: Beach ... doesn't get any better ... clear warm water and soft sand. Saw the stingray and giant turtle just a short distance into the water. Food. Buffet has everything and tasted great. Rooms are modern as is the entire resort. Resort is large but feels small. Well laid out. Resort was 100% full but you would not know it. Never a lineup for anything. Chairs available always at beach and pools. Restaurants now have reservations via the riu app. Staff are so very good. The bad (it's not really but ...) Too many vendors on beach. Jellyfish in ocean. They got 3 of us but really no big deal. Most folks don't even know they are there. 2 hour bus ride from Montego Bay (it's not 90 minutes like they tell you). Still, it's worth the ride. Very, very nice resort ... well worth what we paid for.
Stayed here for two weeks in May 2023. Loved the hotel and the beach. Crystal clear waters, warm. Hotel kept very clean, great selection of food. Highly recommend trying the Jerk hut on the beach! Perfect location for our honeymoon.
