A hotel which never disappoints.
This is the 3rd time we have visited this hotel, with a fourth visit already booked for next year. The hotel is outstanding in every respect. From the moment we arrived and Adrian took our cases to our room to the time we checked out all the staff we unfailingly attentive, friendly and highly professional. The cuisine catered for all tastes and was of the highest standard.

Fantastic experience.
It was our first holiday at the hotel and it was excellent, we shall be back in March 2025. Hopefully we’ll get a room with a sea/pool view and also one nearer the lift as I struggle to walk.

Some 5* mostly 3* Experience.
A beautifully appointed Hotel. Spotlessly clean, large bedrooms, The pool areas are good with plenty of sunbeds, parasols and shady areas. The two 'a la carte restaurants', the Krystal and the Spanish serve exceptional food with exceptional service. That unfortunately is where the 5* experience ends. The bar service in the evenings is appalling. I have never seen so many waiters walking around trying to avoid eye contact with anyone. On every occasion when we were in the entertainment area it took at least 20 minutes to order a drink. I would imagine that one extra round of drinks per couple would enhance the Hotels profit margins hugely. Another revolutionary idea would be to put a drinks menu on each of the tables in the bar area. The entertainment is very much the same every night, ranging from average to poor. One act manage to clear the bar quite quickly. The main 'restaurant' is poor. The food is nothing special. Not a 5* experience when the staff are loading trolleys and setting up for breakfast next to the table when you are eating. A canteen really. If it was a works canteen, the workers would bring sandwiches. The 'snack' bars near the pools serve food at lunch times. My wife and I have been staying in Riu Palace Hotels for many years and in different countries. This is the first really unsatisfactory experience we have had. The question to ask is "would I come here again", The answer is " Never", I can spend my money elsewhere, so why would I.

Average
Not good, for a 5 star hotel the experience was not as good as expected. The hotel rooms are fine but floor around the pool needs updating. The service is not what I would expect of a 5 star hotel. The lobby bar service is very poor . We usually stay in the Riu Palace in Meloneras in Gran Canaria which is far superior. The entertainment is far better there. In this hotel it is very poor, would not return.
