    Great overall Staff at Breakfast, ( Roberto, Auddy) were fantastic to Family. Japanese restaurant was great, Steakhouse not great !

    Traveled with family of 5. Three kids ages 6 to 11. Service was outstanding. There were enough food options that everyone found something they liked.

    10 yr anniversary

    My wife and I celebrated our 10yr anniversary here because we were married at this resort! Everything was great especially the service, there was a lot of families with children. It didn’t bother us, but if you’re looking for a place with or without a lot of children fyi.

    Stolen money from my room

    Absolutely avoid this hotel at any cost!!!! First of all on our third day our cash money was stolen from our wallets from our handbags we left in our room……. The hotel didn’t stop trying to tell us that maybe we spent our money or lost it and we didn’t recall…..! they started investigating us and came to our room and go trough our personal stuff searching for money we reported stolen…..in this moment we felt like a criminal…. three people including the manager of the hotel searched every single piece of our personal stuff in our room….. nothing happened and no money was found…….. The police were not coming to the hotel if you want to report but you should go there and nobody advised you to do it because it is not safe and nobody in police speak english….. so no money from the inshurans without police report….. The shower has no hot water even if we reported that almost every single day and someone come to fix it and after two hours no hot water again…. the food is horrible quality and cheap ingredients…… in every single restaurant in the resort food was in a very poor state extremely loud music till 11PM every single night…..forget about sleeping before 12 towels are not available all the time dirty dishes and dirty old towels and bedding only one good thing is that the garden are incredible and very nice and the beach is amazing and the water is clean and beautiful…. don’t waste your money and if you book it please use safe places for your belongings and money because they stilling in this place….

    Beautiful Place

    Our second RIU vacation, the first being in Negil Jamaica 2 years ago. My family has taken other all-inclusive trips in the past, all in Jamaica (Beaches and FDR come to mind), so this was our first all-inclusive to another country. The 7-mile beach in Jamaica is amazing, but I found this beach just as nice; white sand, clear water, sandy bottom- not weedy like in RIU Negril. The beach at the Palace has a scattering of huge palm trees, making it easy to find sun or shade. Their 3 pools are close together, but attract different crowds (families in the largest, partiers in the swim up bar, and another smaller pool with a vball net). The rooms were large enough for us (we had 2 rooms, with 3 adults in each room) with a very nice balcony (one of our rooms had 2 balconies). The food was OK; not Michelin good, but we could always find tasty options. We tried all of the themed restaurants over the 8 days we visited and the steak house, on the beach, was our favorite. The small grill at the pool was also a lunchtime favorite with the chicken, burgers, and hot dogs. My primary knock on the place (besides no popcorn in the sports bar!) was the entertainment as we didn't find the evening shows as entertaining/engaging as those at RIU Negril. In my opinion, a bit more thought/energy could be focused on improving the evening entertainment. Transfer from the airport was seamless with the van ride lasting about 20 mins. Check in and check out was easy. The staff were all friendly. I would recommend.
