Riu Palace Highly Recommended
Fabulous trip to Riu Palace Punta Cana. 4.5/5 stars. Had a fantastic time with my husband. Beautiful location, breathtaking beach, great pools, excellent food ( so many choices!) at a La carte and buffet, towels plentiful at any time of day, lovely cafe, clean - there are always people around cleaning, polite and attentive staff, friendly and welcoming, and clean comfortable rooms. Special thanks to Carlos- restaurant manager (mainly at the Japanese restaurant) and breakfast buffet staff who greeted us with warmth each time they saw us. A couple of points of interest. We came to relax and we’re able to do that although there are plenty of opportunities to party and dance in the in the huge Riu complex as well as a casino. So you can have both or either way. Something for everyone. There is nightly music , some dancing and shows every night in the theatre area where everyone gathers for drinks and entertainment. Although it is outdoors, the problem for me was the smoking - unless you found a lucky spot you would inhale second hand smoke. We enjoy parasailing which we booked through nexus tours. Loved it! Tip-there are people on the beach daily offering parasailing within the hotel area. Through nexus we had to travel by bus to another beach. Advantage to that was seeing more of the area outside the Riu complex which was interesting. Still a very enjoyable activity. Highly recommend! Would definitely come back.
(4.5 stars) One of the better all-inclusives I've been to
Overall, this is one of the better resorts I've been to. Would not hesitate to return and would definitely recommend. The resort itself is beautiful - everything from the buildings to the grounds to the beach. The layout is great - it's only a short walk from the rooms to the pool, beach or lobby/restaurants. Service everywhere was excellent. The staff are extremely hard-working and very welcoming. Food/drinks were good, particularly the restaurants as well as the poolside grill. During the day, the animation team does a great job, though it does get a bit repetitive. The evening shows I attended were just OK. The RIU parties were very fun. The only (very minor) annoyances: Toilets do not flush all that well and the toiletry products are hard to use as the bottles are too firm. Overall, top notch.
Good Service @ pool bar Lobby bar awesome. Restaurants were good. Reception & cleaning service not good at all. Towels old Shower cap asked so many times, No laundry bags Sheets change request- neglected. Bath gel bottles so hard to squeeze. Same entertainment every night, Only dancing every day. Bathroom flushes terrible, had to keep on holding to flush everything away. Riu party was fun. Have been to so many Riu but this one was somewhat a bad experience. Beautiful hotel though. Pool Bar service was great! Olvis was awesome. Breakfast area- Carlos very nice. Japanese Restaurant manager Carlos Miguel awesome. Rosemary - customer service Luiso - pool manager Olvis - pool server Carlos Miguel - Yokohama Juan Carlos - breakfast/Yokohama all were amazing
Luxury all inclusive hotel - lots to do
Beautiful hotel and fantastic service. The variety of restaurants makes this hotel well worth the price. The junior suites are clean and spacious. The riu party (4 days per week) was so much fun, but if you didn’t go looking for it you wouldn’t be disturbed by it. The casino wasn’t our scene but worth checking out, The hotel transport truck to it is fun! Lovely walk through the hotels and beach walk. The cocktail bar is a wonderful chill out zone. We stayed at the bambu last Christmas which we enjoyed, but the palace is definitely that in comparison. Big recommendation for this one.
Best All Inclusive in Punta Cana
RIU Palace Punta Cana is by the far the nicest hotel on property. My boyfriend and I were traveling together and wanted to experience the all inclusive lifestyle. We are so happy with our choice to come here! The crowd was a great mix of 20s-50s and not that many kiddos running around so a great place for adult families or couples. Included in the package is airport pick up and drop off so no need to stress about that. The staff was amazing, kind and thoughtful. Honorable mention to Romanita, Gustavo, Darlyn and Alfredo for making our time there more enjoyable! After the first day they started to recognize us and would have our coffee ready in the morning. The bartenders would remember our drink order and be ready to make that for us also. You can ask for a fun special drink that isn’t on the menu. There were so many fun activities to do throughout the day like bingo, water polo, water sports, and entertainment at night. The pool parties were extremely fun also! The hotel was clean and our rooms were taken care of each day with fresh towels. The mini bar was added to each day with whatever you request. Being an all inclusive, the quality of food is always questionable but the food was amazing here. Our favorite was the steak house and the Japanese restaurant. The Italian was great also! No matter what you order, it will be amazing. The lobster was the best I have ever had. You don’t get bored of the food since there are so many options for dinner. My only complaint is people will reserve chairs at the pool and beach so be ready to go down early and stake your spot! Also, there is a small period in the afternoon between transitioning from lunch to dinner where food is not available so be prepped for that. Overall the best vacation spot I have been to!
