    Amazing stay

    The resort was amazing! The staff was always cleaning, the property was spotless. The wait staff was always around to get you drinks and are very friendly. The bartenders were amazing our whole stay. The food was very good, you can't go hungry, there is food everywhere. Overall just an amazing resort, we are already planning to go back.

    Beautiful Resort

    2nd time we have been here. Absolutely beautiful resort! Staff is very friendly & security is seen all the time! Great experience with the restaurants! Would definitely recommend this place to friends & family!

    Tacky room no privacy cheap furnishings no sleep as noise is crazy door to room thin and can hear people walking past

    This hotel is not what you expect, room cheap and echo can hear each other on the loo. Sound of people all night walking past and talking, no where in hotel to sit to relax and chill all hectic big bright loud drunken people everywhere laid out in sports bar and shouting in reception. No ambiance at all

    Great first time at Riu

    We had connected rooms- stuff broken in each room. Neither tub worked- water drizzled out. Shower diverted was broken. Biggest disappointment was how slow room service was and lack of hot options for breakfast in room.

    Why Only Four Stars?

    The property is kept in immaculate shape. Each day when I got up it looked as though the building had just been built. The staff was responsive and really friendly. We had a problem with the shower head on the first day so I called the desk. We were on the sixth floor, and within 5 minutes there was a knock on the door. The maintenance man said he would be right back and within 5 minutes he was back again with a new shower head which he installed immediately. Fantastic!! The fold-out couch was too soft to sit on. I just sank in it and had a lot of trouble getting out. Because I never said anything about it while I was there I am not letting it effect the rating. The bed was really comfortable. The TV was new, and the view was beautiful. Now for my only real issue. First of all, I smoke BUT I completely agree with isolating smokers for the protection of other guests. I live in Florida and we have many outdoor restaurants which allow smoking. I have NEVER smoked in them because even I can't stand the smell of burning tobacco when I eat. So, again, I had no problem that the only smoking area on the property was on a patch of grass off to the side of the building front. What I DO take issue with is that was not even one chair where someone could relax and have a smoke. The only pieces of furniture were 2 bar-height tables, each with an ashtray. I felt like an outcast. Why would a resort that caters to every whim fail to place a lousy chair in the only smoking area on the property?
