One of the best holidays we have had.

We have recently returned from a two week holiday at Palace Oasis and can honestly say it was one of the best holidays we have had. We had booked a partial sea view room which was excellent. The room itself was spacious, the bed large and extremely comfortable. Very good blackout curtains. A lovely bathroom with double sinks and a very large, very decent shower which was a joy. The balcony was spacious with a good view of the lighthouse. Cleaning was done to a very high standard everywhere, from our room to the pool areas, corridors, restaurants, in fact we didn’t see anything at all that was not cleaned perfectly. The staff were friendly and helpful and always smiling and every single staff member we saw from grounds men to managers greeted us with a smile. We didn’t eat in the two specialist restaurants as I didn’t see anything on the menu’s that took my fancy but the main buffet restaurant had plenty of choices and breakfast in particular was excellent. The location is great with a private exit to the beach. For us personally it was perfect as it appeared to be almost all older people hardly any children so no screaming and shouting around the pools. Two things we didn’t think were good, the first having to pay 50 euros for the safe, in a hotel of this standard I would expect a free safe. The second thing is you can not ask for a late check out until the morning of your departure which is very annoying as surely the hotel know in advance if the room has been booked for the next occupant before the day you leave. Overall I thoroughly recommend this hotel and I am sure we will return.

Wonderful hotel - swim up pool fantastic

I arrived about 2115 and the reception staff took my luggage and escorted me straight to dinner as the dining room was still open, which I was not expecting. I went back and my luggage had been delivered to my room. I’d booked a swim up pool room as a treat and was not disappointed. I booked it for privacy when sunbathing and I was lucky to be allocated a room on the 1120-1102 side of building, the floors above can look down but you cannot see your neighbours through the glass partitions and nobody walks by. Sun traps morning until evening. Your patio has 2 loungers, 2 chairs and a parasol and 2 pool towels in the room and you have a card to get more pool towels from the main pool area to take to the beach. On the other side of the hotel floor also has swim up rooms except they were very public and everyone sitting at one of the main hotel pool walks past and looks in I wouldn’t have been comfortable there but if you want to use the main pool as well you could easily walk across from you bedroom/pool and across the grass. Two large main swimming pool I visited once plenty sun beds and umbrellas for everyone. Plenty shade to escape. I was really pleased to see how the hotel catered for wheelchair customers there were disabled reserved sunbeds next to pool access for those needing it, 2 pool hoists into main pool that I saw a family use. Lifeguard present. The staff are so helpful and friendly from reception- who speak multiple languages- to restaurant staff. Every day I was greeted by the maitre d by my name as I arrived for breakfast and dinner. You choose where you want to sit, sun or shade available. Wonderful selection of food from around the world. I often find hotel dinner buffets a bit hit and miss but this was wonderful all food piping hot, or cooked in front of you. At dinner an Italian section, oriental section, a roast meat of the day carved in front of you pork, beef, chicken, duck etc , fish sections and always a meat station where the chef cooked steak in front of you. Plenty salads and vegetables. Many desserts always a hot dessert choice, multiple cakes and pastries. Ice cream station and chocolate fountain plus fresh fruit carved in front of you. Waiting staff all very friendly, Raul always looked after me. There is a gourmet restaurant on site and a Spanish one that you can book which is included but I preferred the freedom of just going to dinner when I wanted and the food was great. There a lunch pool menu but I never needed lunch. Breakfast buffet until 1030. Rooms and patios cleaned really well and mini bar restocked daily with water/coke/fanta and wine/spirits very reasonably priced not really worth going to the outside shop. Don’t forget to tip your hotel chambermaid! The bathroom is amazing the strongest and most powerful rainfall shower and separate attachment- great for long hair. Tv had 2 English speaking channels for news. There’s a swipe gate from hotel directly onto the beach and a small shopping centre it’s the lighthouse end of Maspalomas beach. There’s family beach area in front of hotel with plenty sunbeds and parasols to hire E7.50. Walk further along the shore is the clothing optional area including loungers/parasols to hire at kiosk 7, and at gay beach now at kiosk 5- rainbow flags denote. On my last day checked out at noon I left luggage and was given a booked slot for an hour to use a room to shower and change. Reception pre booked a taxi to airport E50 and less than 30 mins. A relaxing holiday RIU a great chain

Hotel was very nice, staff truly friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed staying here. Service is at a very high level. Reducing the noise in the room of people walking in the hallways is something that could be improved.

Great location, great hotel, great rooms and food

they even had left me a cold lunch to eat as I arrived at midnight! In my first room 2108 I kept being woken up by machinery type noisy, after complaining I found out that I had a plant room as my guest next door, so they moved my to room 2226 which was quiet but I did have to put everything back into my suitcase to move which wasted time. They should not be using room 2108.
