We loved every minute!
I came here with my mum for a relaxing break and we loved every minute. The hotel is beautiful and you really are getting ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ As soon as we walked into the reception area we thought wow! We had a beautiful view of the sand dunes from our room and the room was lovely, always kept clean and new clean towels were delivered each evening, even when they had already been changed that day. The staff are so friendly and work extremely hard. I read some reviews that said drinks were expensive but they were not! We thought they were very reasonable and were surprised at how cheap our bill was at the end of the holiday. The pink strawberry gin is the best I have ever tasted! The lunches at the snack bar were delicious and they had some great choices. We enjoyed both à la carte restaurants that were included in your stay, which we thought was good. The food at the buffet was amazing. Delicious! The sun bed situation was absolutely fine and you could get sun beds throughout the day. Of course some people reserve but there is no mad rush for any. There is a lovely ice cream shop just below the hotel by the sand dunes that we definitely recommend. Also if you want to see a lovely sunrise then head to the sand dunes for about 730am. That was well worth it. We will definitely be coming back!

Lovely hotel, just a few things to maybe finetune
Pros: ✅ Lovely hotel, very tranquil. ✅ A lovely pool area, we always managed to get beds which is a bonus. ✅ The sand dune views are amazing. ✅ The staff work very hard and the service is great. ✅ Room was cleaned perfectly everyday. ✅ Choice of 2 pools. ✅ Pool food menu was good and very speedy. ✅ Hotel is spotless and has been well kept since the recent refurbishment. ✅ Parking is available but gets full up, but there is parking on the nearby roads for free. ✅ Front desk staff very helpful. ✅ Good food choices most nights, and mornings. Cons: ❌ Drinks are very expensive! ❌ Safe in the room should be free, we’re past the days of paying for this surely. ❌ The dress code for the dining room is so old fashioned. It’s rather sexist that women can wear what they want and men can’t. They stated to us that we could sit outside wearing formal shorts, but this still isn’t fair, we should be able to sit in the air conditioned restaurant for the cost of this holiday. ❌ Paying an extortionate amount for drinking water in the room at the mini bar is out of order. ❌ Evening entertainment wasn’t great. Very budget acts, there was a piano that we didn’t see being used? ❌ The Milanese beds should be free for all hotel guests first come first serve not an additional cost!

Wonderful
This Adult only hotel has class, spotless clean, with comfortable beds and pillows. Friendly staff, who are always on hand. The standard of this hotel clearly comes from the very Top. Refreshing to have a hotel that sticks to its smart casual Dress code for dinner. Nothing worse than people walking in to dinner in sweaty tea shirt and shorts. Pool area pleasant and quiet, no rowdy people throwing balls around no drunks. A joy. Lunch fair price in this day and age, all food is very good quality no synthetic fruit juice at the Palace. Its difficult to fault this RIU hotel.

Fabulous
I totally agree with all the ‘excellent’ reviews previously written about this amazing hotel. Our immaculately kept room was in a lovely position on the top floor, as requested, on the restaurant side and so quiet. The air conditioning kept the room cool throughout the day with no fluctuation in temperature. All staff were wonderful and couldn’t do enough for us from the welcome drink to checking out. The buffet had so much choice it was at times difficult to decide what to choose with different fish, meats, pasta and rice dishes etc etc every night. The food was always hot, not always the case with buffets. Again, the staff here were exceptional whether chefs, replenishing the buffet or serving at table. Sunbeds were always available and we preferred the canopies to parasols. The pools were warm, never overcrowded and I personally liked the smaller pool. We used the local buses, visiting Playa de Mogan, Amadores (beautiful beach and clear blue sea) and Maspalomas lighthouse. The museum inside the latter was really interesting and there was a good view from the terrace. The walk to the busier centre of Playa del Ingles along the promenade took about 20 minutes. A brilliant hotel which I would recommend 100%.
