    Winter holiday

Our holiday was excellent. The food is good but repetitive after one week. The bacon at breakfast is inedible. Take note chef! Towels in room need renewed. The pool side beds are very uncomfortab le. Mattresses are needed. Apart from that the hotel and all staff are excellent.

Trust me and choose this hotel in Gran Canaria

The obvious choice I stayed here with my mom 2/01-09-01 and the stay was magical. The property is very luxurious and the cleaning is meticulous. I’ve never seen such a clean hotel in my life. We also saw plenty of other hotels nearby and we were just lucky we decided to go for Riu Palace Maspalomas. The room is excellent with everything you need. Towels, separate sinks, bath robes, fridge etc. Extremely comfortable beds. The pool area is big and sunbeds are great. There is a towel kiosk where you can get your used towel replaced. The bus goes from near the hotel (just a 5 min walk) with a lot of destinations. There is a supermarket right outside the hotel as well. The beach is also a short walk from the property. At this hotel you have everything surrounding you, no matter what you need. The breakfast and dinner buffet is mind blowing. There are infinite options no matter what your dietary preferences are. There is always fresh fruit, lots of dessert and the food is varied everyday. Healthy corner, Italian corner, salads and meats. Everyone can find something to eat. What really makes this hotel stand out however is the lovely staff. Everyone working here is genuine and sweet. The staff in the dining area made jokes with us, and we felt very special and remembered. I believe that the work environment must be good since everyone seemed truly happy and it never felt uncomfortable or forced. The overall vibe is very friendly and relaxed. Also the receptionists are helpful and nice to you, and even all of the cleaning staff, piscineros and other staff are very friendly and warm towards you as a guest. This is for me, an obvious choice for vacation, we are coming back!

Great but needs a little extra touch

We have stayed at this hotel several times! Overall it is fantastic! I must agree with other people's comments that charging for the use of the rooms safe is old fashioned and tacky! It reminds me of the 1970's where you paid extra for the use of a toaster and kettle and you put money in a box on the side of the TV to use it! It is penny pinching small minded attitude! It cost 26 euros for the week which could easily have been absorbed into the total price if they are so desperate! These actions look desperate and undermine security at the hotel and the overall feeling of quality! The staff are attentive and incredibly welcoming and helpful! The cleaning is A1* quality! The food is very good quality ! Extras such as Balinese day beds a t £50 euros a day. Are nice . Included in that is a bottle of Cava/Prosecco but at the price lack that extra ummph such as pillows which whilst a small addition makes a Huge difference! Overall, we love it and do return! However if the management take that extra step to touch the stars it will be incredible!

    5* All the way

I spent Christmas and New Year at this amazing place. From check in to check out there wasn’t one thing to complain about. The hotel was superbly decorated with quality decorations. It was obvious that everyone from the Hotel Directors downwards were on hand to make everyone’s stay memorable and they succeeded. The Gala Dinners and Festivities for Christmas Day and Hogmanay were incredible with all chefs and waiting staff on hand to make everyone’s evening a success. It was obvious that there were a lot of returning guests which in itself speaks volumes. I’m already contemplating booking for Christmas 2025!!!! Yes it was that good. James McLean

    Birthday holiday

The staff at the hotel were absolutely delightful, happy, helpful & a joy to have them around. They were very attentive & eager to please. Very good quality of food & lots of choice. The pool & pool area was pristine but it was a shame that the hotel allowed the guest to reserve the bed loungers by leaving their towels & arriving hours later. The hotel staff got to know that it was my birth & leaving a bottle of cava in my hotel room was definitely the icing on the cake, a very nice touch. I will definitely be coming back but next time it will be longer than a week.
