The hotel is located in the southern area of Gran Canaria between Playa del Inglés with its wide sandy beach and
Maspalomas, with its impressive dune landscape. It is situated in a quiet area although there are bars, boutiques and
shopping centre nearby. The 6 km-long, level, sandy beach is situated by the dunes, a 15 min walk away. The hotel is
surrounded by 7500 sq.m. of beautifully tended gardens.
The hotel has received a complete refurbishment in spring/summer 2021, becoming a 5 star-adults only after it.

Location This is my third visit to this incredible hotel and I never cease to be amazed at the excellent location and setting. I have visited a number of RIU hotels over the years, and I think this is the best one I have ever visited. Atmosphere The general atmosphere in this hotel is excellent, and in my opinion, the staff absolutely make your stay something special. They are charming, helpful and incredibly efficient. Their training and general attitude is something to be admired. Rooms I first visited this hotel in 2019, prior to the refurbishment taking place. Even then, I found the hotel to be really comfortable, clean and somewhere I wanted to come back to. Value Compared to other 5 Star hotels of this calibre, I think this hotel represents excellent value for money. Cleanliness. I have yet to come across a hotel with staff pay so much attention to ensuring that everything is clean and fresh. It is an uphill battle in this location, because obviously sometimes the sand from the dunes blows into the public areas. Nonetheless, staff are out cleaning early in the morning to ensure that everything is as clean and sanitary as possible for their guests. Noise level Prior to staying at this hotel, I sent an email requesting that we had a quiet room. As has always been the case with this particular hotel chain, they have always managed to fulfil my requests. Nonetheless, this hotel, in my opinion, is not noisy, particularly as the entertainment is tasteful and doesn’t last until ridiculous times in the evening. Service The service provided was excellent in all areas. It is very easy to make contact with the management via the App if you don’t want to spend time in the reception area of the hotel. Amenities The amenities at the hotel are extremely good. General comments As mentioned at the beginning of this review, this was my third visit and will definitely not be my last. I loved every minute of staying at this fantastic hotel. No hotel is going to be able to suit everybody’s tastes, but this hotel certainly goes a very long way towards satisfying my own particular tastes and requirements. One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in!

Amazing stay at the Riu Palace Maspalomas

Holiday in Gran Canaria
We had a wonderful week staying at the Riu Palace Maspalomas and couldn’t fault our experience. The location is beautiful, with stunning surroundings and a lovely atmosphere, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind. The staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay, always going out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The hotel was spotlessly clean, with great attention to detail throughout. The food was excellent, with a fantastic choice and plenty of variety to suit all tastes. The facilities were also very good and made our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, we had a fantastic holiday and were thoroughly impressed with the hotel, the service and the surroundings. We would highly recommend Riu Palace Maspalomas and would definitely love to return in the future!

Wonderful as always.
We ALWAYS look forward to returning to the lovely Riu Palace Maspalomas and as ever, it did not disappoint. We've been coming here for almost 20 years now and it's always a pleasure to be back, as we know the wonderful staff really care about their guests. We only stayed one week, which is never ever enough but we do hope to return very soon. This hotel truly is the masterclass in how a Riu Palace should be. Pure Excellence! Excellent hotel in great location
A lovely quiet hotel with great food, spacious grounds and right next to the dunes. Perfect destination to chill out and enjoy the sun.
