Amazing Adults Only Vacation
Amazing Adults-Only Getaway – Exceeded Expectations! We stayed at RIU Palace Las Americas in March 2026, and it was an incredible vacation for my husband and me. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations—fantastic food, spotless cleanliness, and truly outstanding staff. Being adults-only made it even more relaxing. The resort itself is on the smaller side, which we loved. Everything is easy to get to, and you’re never far from your room, the beach, or restaurants. There’s also an Oxxo, small shops, and a mini mall just a couple of minutes across the street, which was very convenient. BEACH The beach was beautiful with soft sand and no rocks. We never had an issue finding chairs, and there’s drink service right to your lounger. Staff will even bring you an umbrella if needed. Security is present, ensuring only RIU guests use the beach area, which we appreciated. FOOD & DRINK There’s one buffet and five à la carte restaurants. We tried all except the Mexican restaurant and had a great experience overall. A nice touch is being able to order bottled beer at the restaurants. NO Reservations required • Italian Restaurant – Open for lunch with both a menu and small buffet. The lasagna was delicious, and the pizza was excellent. It was quiet and a great alternative to the main buffet. • Japanese Restaurant – We ate here twice. The salmon was amazing, and we loved the sushi and dumpling appetizers. Special shoutout to Rico, who made the experience even better. • Krystal – Another favorite that we visited twice. The lava cake dessert was incredible, and the pumpkin soup was very good. • Steakhouse – Worth lining up around 5:30 pm to get in. The lobster was huge and delicious. • Buffet – Breakfast was consistently great. We only did lunch here a couple of times and skipped it for dinner since we were able to get into the à la cartes every night. Poolside lunches included BBQ wings (so good!), nachos, and tacos. Other highlights included popcorn and excellent drinks in the lounge bar, plus a fantastic cappuccino bar offering lattes, smoothies, and desserts like cheesecake and carrot cake. AMENITIES There’s a 24-hour lounge stocked with bottled water, pop, snacks, and alcohol. Room service is included, although we didn’t end up needing it. The pools were great—one lively swim-up bar pool with activities, and two quieter pools for relaxing. While there’s no sports bar on-site, you can walk 2 minutes to RIU Cancun to use theirs. Guests also have access to other RIU resorts (except RIU Kukulkan). EXTRAS & LOCATION • RIU hosts 4 themed parties per week at RIU Caribe, about a 10-minute bus ride away (transport included). • The RIU app is very helpful for schedules and activities. • There’s an ATM and currency exchange on-site (front desk can help with smaller bills). • The ferry to Isla Mujeres is just a 5-minute walk past RIU Cancun—super convenient for a day trip. FINAL THOUGHTS We would absolutely recommend this resort. It checked all the boxes for a relaxing, fun, and high-quality vacation. We will definitely be back!

Great food but NOISY
We just got back from the Riu Palace. Let me first start by saying the staff work extremely hard and are very accomodating. The food was really good and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The negative is that it is small and everyone is on top of each other on the beach. Also, You can hear the DJ all the way on the other side by the quiet pool all day long. The music doesn't stop! And on top of that, on the beach there are guests that bring their own blue- tooth radio(without headphones ofcourse) and blast music as well no consideration of others. When I asked the staff they said its a public beach and people can do what they want?? So if your the type that likes to read on the beach, NOT happening here as it is super noisy by the pool and by the beach. Some European guests were extremely loud as if they were the only guests there. Maybe because it was spring break. I wish this hotel would have more entertainment at night and be more quiet during the day. Very hard to relax.

GREAT
We recently stayed at the RIU Palace Las Americas. Once again we were not disappointed. Everything was fine. We loved spending time in the bar with Abbu, who I consider a wonderful person and bar tender. Our ocean facing room was beautiful. Senorita Maria, La Jefe, was always seen making sure everything was in tip top shape. Can't wait till we return.

Nice hotel but our view wa crap
Room has only 3 outlet for phone, iPad etc. shower dispensers are hard to figure out so bring your own shampoos and gels. Washcloths are very rough so bring one from home unless you’re looking for a rough scrub. Shower is very slippery. Buffet dinner was excellent. Most of the staff are very friendly. Lobby are staff was not .. ignored me so went to the lobby to be waited on. Room is nice but don’t get one one the 1st floor. You’ll have a view thru the balcony where you can see a sliver of the sea

Riu palace Las Americas Cancun
Hotel was excellent, the staff so friendly and helpful especially Domingo on the reception went above and beyond to help. Specialised restaurant were very good food and service excellent. Food in buffet was nice but a bit to salty. Pool and beach area spotless and the boys serving there were brilliant. Art Deco lounge with fans on ceiling far to cold people sitting there with jumpers on. Very satisfied customer.
