Second year here at RIU Latino adults only, stayed 16 days this time. Honestly Ana manager of entertainment team is a big reason we keep coming back. She’s always smiling, always around, always bringing good vibes. Entertainment feels fun and easy, not forced at all. You can tell she really cares about people and her team. After so many days it really started to feel like home and leaving was not easy. Thank you Ana for making our vacation so special, we’ll definitely be back. Larisa& Gurgen

Amazing Experience - Would Recommend
We traveled last week with a group of 12 and had an amazing experience from start to finish. The food was excellent—the buffet, Peppe’s, and the Italian, Asian, and Steak House à la cartes were all fantastic. We agreed with other reviews that the Italian restaurant actually served the best steak. Staff were always happy to move tables so our entire group could sit together. We loved that no restaurant reservations were required. Everything was first come, first served, and we were always seated within an hour. The staff throughout the resort were incredibly friendly and attentive, and the property was spotless with quick responses to any spills or messes. Despite being a large group, we never had issues finding chairs at the beach or pool. We usually went down between 9–10 a.m. and easily secured spots, then moved to the pool later in the afternoon with no issues. The beach was beautiful, raked daily, and towels were always available. The waterslides were a fun bonus. Minor Cons, if we had to mention any: The distance between the beach and pool/bars may be challenging for some. That said, there was drink service on the beach for the win. Hallways can be noisy, so light sleepers may want earplugs. All 12 of us would absolutely recommend this resort.

Best Place to Spend My 50th Birthday and our 25th Anniversary
My husband and I just got back from a week-long stay at Rio Latino. It was awesome. It was spotless, and the staff keeps it spotless the entire time you are there. The pools were perfect sized, the rooms were beautiful. We had a beach-front view. I told them ahead of time that it was our anniversary and my birthday and they treated us to awesome decorations, a bottle of champagne and a bottle of tequila. It was a great atmosphere! So many fun things to do with the staff. Daily activities in and out of the pool were awesome and the night shows were great. Never had an issue with noise. We plan on going back to this same resort next time!

Jan 19, 2026A Surprisingly Enjoyable Stay at RIU Latino!
My husband and I traveled to Cancun for 5 days and we chose Costa Mujeres because we know we can not go wrong with the beach! This beach is always clean, crystal clear water, fine white sand, and miles of walkable beach. We are really not RIU fans because of past previous negative experiences - in another country by the way - but we decided to take a chance on the RIU Latino - Adults only Hotel. The good first: Friendly and helpuful staff, the property is very well built and maintained, extremely clean, grounds are beautiful and pests are well under control, thoughfully and well distributed, restaurants are all lined up on one side and easily accessible, room decoration is very simplistic but functional, very clean throughout, beautiful beach, pools nice and looked clean, plenty of bar options. The not so good: No room service available, no toiletries in room except for liquid soap and conditioner, beach/pool towels on a card exchange system, only 3 a la carte restaurants available with very limited menu options. The Buffet restaurant had plenty of options - we only ate there for breakfast and lunch. The Italian restaurant, which is a la carte, has a very limited menu. The Kulinarium was our favorite. The Steak House was good but always has a a long wait list. We enjoyed the Ribeye steak but it was way too big. I suggest for less food waste, please have an option of at least a 10 oz, 12 oz, or even a 6 oz. We got served at least a 16 oz. steak and even my husband could not finish it. The flavors were all there in the steak but the appetizers arrived cold. Staff is limited at the Steak House, maybe this is why there is such a long waitlist. With all that said, We would definitely come back to Riu Latino mainly because the service was good overall. Everyone seemed happy working and serving at this property. Bartenders, housekeeping, and restaurant staff were all pretty nice. The beach was a bit rought, red flag for 3 out of the 5 days we stayed but the water was beautiful! I can't comment on the pools or pool bars because we did not go in - not pool people, but other guests seemed to enjoy them! So, for the price we paid, the service was good, and the property was very clean and welcoming. A big thanks to all the staff that helped us throughout our stay.

TERE.
We had an amazing experience at the Riu Latino in Cancun, and a big part of that was thanks to our wonderful waitress, Tere. From the moment we arrived, she was incredibly friendly, attentive, and always had a warm smile. She made sure our drinks were never empty and went out of her way to make us feel comfortable and welcome. Tere’s service truly stood out—she was professional, kind, and genuinely cared about giving us the best experience possible. Because of her, our meals were even more enjoyable, and she made our stay feel extra special. If you’re staying at the Riu Latino, you’re very lucky if Tere is your waitress. She is an absolute gem and a true asset to the hotel! Also the hotel was awesome!!
