Food
Had a lovely time the entertainment team were fabulous the room was nice and clean we have been here four times but this time the food was a bit off very cold and some food was not cooked very pink chicken someone in front of me in the queue dropped the tongs that you pick the food up with on to the floor the lady behind the counter picked them up and wiped them with her dirty apron and put them back not good think they need to look at the food stations and have space tongs for accidents that happen every thing else was lovely

Total lack of service from customer department
The stay (Hotel Riu Costa del Sol) is ok. But the service (?) of their customer department is very, very, bad. They give the impression that the customer (=me) is not telling the truth. So a simple, polite, question for a refund of 20 euro (=1,15% of the payment for our stay) is refused. No service

Was ok,but....
Just come back.... Hotel was busy, but all staff were soooo good, absolutely incredible job from all of them. Food.... Main restaurant looks like snack bar all times. No choices...very poor. And NO coffee machine for breakfast. Room..... As we got a family room, it was like a box, small. Sofa for my teenager was old and make a noise every single movement. Bath towels....if you can take yours do it. Swimming pools.....lots of sunbeds, few bars besides, activities. Location.... airport 7 minutes, beach 1 minute, local shops 1 minute, shopping centre 5 minutes drive. I can't say, it was terrible, but I'm not sure if we come back.

Excellent
Second visit but brought family this time for birthday celebrations. Friendly helpful check in staff as always. Rooms spacious and spotless as was rest of hotel, shout out to the cleaning staff always on the go keeping place spotless. Food was great with choices of restaurants to eat in and enough variation to keep everyone happy. So many pools to choose from, but at this time of year very cold. Plenty of beds around the pools and didn't have to get up at stupid o'clock to put towel down. Granddaughter went down ill and reception staff went out of their way to assist, fetching iced towels to bring fever down, recommended hospitals and even noticed daughter hadn't eaten so brought food to room for her. I parked our hire car and did not notice parking light left on, staff tracked me down to let me know so helpful. On my birthday got back to room to find bottle of fizz and 2 champagne flutes and a card. Nice touch, thank you. Excellent location just off the beach, quiet but close enough to amenities. Car parking on site and I noticed electric charging points. To the hotel staff, thank you again for another wonderful stay and we will definitely return.

All inclusive in Torremolinos
This was our first time at a RIU hotel. We wanted a relaxing vacation by the sea, so this was a good choice. For a four-star all inclusive, RIU Costa del sol is good value for money. The room was very spacious with a continental holiday look. They have a wide drink selection. The wines on tap were so-so, but the cava was good. We tried all three restaurants, the main one for breakfast and lunch; however, we chose to dine in the evening in the Andalusian and Italian restaurants. All are buffet-style, but the Italian offers main courses à la carte. We always found food to our liking. However, it is difficult to cater to so many guests. As such, the seasoning is made to suit everyone. The hotel has three outdoor pool areas as well as a spa/gym/indoor pool. The pools are in different sections, which divide the hotel into three different natural areas. During our stay, it never felt crowded. The hotel complex has a lot of green touches like plants, lawns, and palm trees. Situated in a quieter area of Torremolinos, the area around the hotel has a calmer vibe than down in Torremolinos centre. One may access the promenade and beach via a direct gate from the hotel. For us, this was a perfect stay. Walks by the beach and uncomplicated food and drinks.
