Disappointed
While everyone was nice, the room i got was not what i paid for. There was no view and the AC did not work properly nights 1 and 3. They adjusted it for night 2. It was supposed to be renovated. If it was the reno was not a good one. One of my friends got a large room with a view in the other tower. He said his was 5 star. So i didnt rest well, and i was there for a race requiring physical endurance and performance. Just rec people do better research to location and amenities before booking

Fun Time at the Rio
My adult daughter and I day Ed at the Rio in a revovated room. The room was HUGE. It had 2 queen beds and a large lounging couch. The bathroom had a great shower and 2 sinks. The Casino was great and we went to see the variety show called Wow! It was really good, it was fun and not very expensive. You can walk to the strip during the day, 15 min walk, but I would get an Uber back at night. Nice pool area. Overall I really enjoyed the Rio and would definitely stay there again.

Outdated Facilities Despite Some Renovation – Good for Groups, Not for Couples
I visit Las Vegas at least 12 times a year for business, so I am quite familiar with many hotels in the area. A few years ago, I heard that Hyatt had taken over management of this hotel, and I expected improvements in both atmosphere and quality. Unfortunately, the main tower—often seen in movies—has not been remodeled and feels quite outdated. While the rear buildings have been renovated and appear cleaner, many important but less visible aspects (such as elevators, bathroom drainage, and lighting) still seem unchanged. The rooms are spacious, which makes this hotel a decent option for groups. However, I would not recommend it for couples seeking a comfortable or refined stay. The casino is another downside. The slot machines are not as diverse as those in other hotels. While I can’t confirm the exact payout rates, in a group of about 20 people playing throughout the night, the best result was breaking even, and most people lost their money within one to two hours. The resort fee is around $55, but it is difficult to see the value—especially considering the slow internet and lack of noticeable amenities. That said, one positive aspect is the staff. Most of them were friendly and welcoming, which made the experience slightly better. Overall, this hotel may work if you simply need a place to stay with a group, but it falls short in many areas compared to other options in Las Vegas.
