Dec 12, 2025Stay at the Reserve at the Paradisus Palma Real!
There is a lot to like about this resort if you are looking for a relaxing, peaceful experience. We stayed in the Reserve (adults only) section. The room was well appointed with a beautiful view of the ocean. The grounds were serene and immaculately maintained. There were plenty of beds at both the pool and beach for guests. The concierge service provided at the Reserve was fabulous and necessary to take advantage of the amenities provided by the overall Resort. We highly appreciate and recommend Alam for everything he did for us during our stay. He was personable and approachable; he also went above and beyond when we asked for his help with our lost luggage. Another standout was Raphael at the Reserve beach. He was very friendly and approached us about our plans for the beach each day of our visit. The activities staff were impressive with their energy and creativity they demonstrated every day to keep guests as engaged as they wanted to be. We enjoyed the music each evening(especially the Rock show). The yoga catamaran trip was fun and we are glad we were able to participate. One area of improvement that we found was the food services. First, the restaurants only operated for specific meal times (eg breakfast ended at 11am, but lunch was not available until 12:30) . Outside of meal times, a very limited room service was available, if you can get through to them. At the restaurants, we found service lacking and inconsistent among customers. We would have to wait too long to have an order taken or to even be approached by any service (drinks, order, anything) while customers seated after us were served, fed and left before us.

Having stayed at a stellar Melia property in the Balearic Islands, I had high expectations for The Paradisus Palma Real. While the resort physically has a lot going for it—our rooms were great and the beach is beautiful—the experience fell short of a true 5-star standard. I booked 'The Reserve' package expecting the VIP experience touted on the website, but frankly, it wasn't worth the premium. While a basic package here might offer decent value, the luxury service just wasn't there. Our concierge, Christian, was absolutely fantastic, but general service across the resort was slow and lacked attention to detail. Maintenance was also a major issue. It felt 'low rent' to see chunks of tile missing from many of the pools. Furthermore, the three jacuzzis near the main pool bar were broken with missing tiles. Basic amenities were also frustratingly scarce; pool towels were consistently gone by 2 PM and rarely restocked. Overall, this is a decent resort, but compared to other Melia properties, it feels neglected. If you are used to true 5-star luxury, you will likely be disappointed.

Would 100% recommend to everyone
My 14th all inclusive experience. Would 100% recommend this hotel. We upgraded to The Reserve. I’m not sure if it’s worth. The private restaurant is nice for lunch, and the exclusive beach section and pool are nice. We just don’t know if we would recommend paying the upgrade. There are many adult private pool sections. I would not come here if I had kids over 1 year old. There are no places for kids. A baby under 1 is fine, but other than that this is not a resort for kids. Being a guest at this hotel you have access to Republic Fun which is like 2 minutes away by cart. You ask the bell boys to take you and there is the best mini putt ever and great entertainment. Definitely go!! Pros: the food was beyond excellent. (Better than Club Med Cancun). The Asian and Italian restaurants are EXCELLENT. The rooms are so beautiful with snacks and little extras (body lotion, etc). The pools are big. The chairs and sunbeds make the difference!! The beach section was beautiful! We walked further on the beach and the other hotels did not have a machine to remove algae. This hotel removes algae every morning which makes a difference. The coffee at the Ginger bar is AMAZING. The drinks are AMAZING like I have never seen this. They are amazing at every bar. Cons: the animation is not the best. The staff does not really seem to care if you give tip. Overall the staff is nice! There are A LOT of sellers on the beach and they are really annoying. Some of them even go into the resort which is too much. We understand it is their job but each day we were at the beach and the same vendors ask 3-4 times each if you want to buy their things or get a massage. It’s just harassement at this point. Each day we would have at least 30-40 vendors asking us to buy things. Special mention to Andres which was so nice to us. Also special mention to Ciari I believe (hope I spell her name right). Also, Anthony every morning at the Ginger Bar for the coffee was so nice.

Great Holiday @ Palma Real
We had a fantastic time at Palma Real for our Thanksgiving this year! The facility is right there on the beach! We had a great swim up suite that was just right for our family. There was a living space and a separate bedroom. This was nice for when our toddler needed his afternoon naps, so an adult could have a space to relax and could even enjoy the patio and pool. For beach time, we headed to the cabanas in the “Kanna” section where Enrique and Yaslainin were awesome! They checked in regularly and made sure we were happy and comfortable! For other dinner and other things (dinner, spa, golf), Francicso with the circle program was our assigned concierge, and he was super helpful answering questions and getting reservations coordinated, and being our go-to person! Overall, we had a wonderful vacation!!
