We stayed in the Master Reserve ocean view suite. Violeta was our concierge. We couldn't have asked for anyone better. She made our dinner reservations, checked with us every day even on her day off. Everything about our trip was perfect.
If you are looking for a five star hotel, don't come here.
If you are looking for a real 5 star hotel, this is not the place for you. It might have been 5 stars 15 years ago, but now it can be rated 3 stars. The buildings, rooms, common areas, restaurants, pools are very out dated and the all property need a big renovation. They are trying to fix things and painting some surfaces but this only makes everything more out dated. The furnitures in the restaurants are worn out, the chairs are dirty, the kinderdome need a big cleaning, because the toys and tools are very dirty. We visited there two times, but never again.. Lot of guest complaning, that there are not enough sunbeds around the pools, and less umbrellas, only every 8-10th sunbesd comes with unbrella, so you can burn to red in the sun, or you are forced to rent a balinese bed for $250 a day if you need any shades. It is unacceptable in a 5-star hotel where you pay USD 400-700 per night that you have to spread your towel on the concrete by the pool because there are not enough beds. Families have to sit on their towells by the pool or on the beach in the sand, because there are not enough palapas on the beach too, but there are lot of balinese beds for extra cost of course.. It is outrageous in a 5-star hotel, that you have to reserve a sunbed early morning, between 6-7am in the darkness, because if you arrive later, no chance to have any bed. The staff and service are good, excep the staff at the check-in. They are very rude and dismissive. We booked two Nikte rooms, and we got a Nikte room, while the other room was a lower category older and smaller. When we complained, the manager was upset and wanted to convince us that both rooms were Nikte category. Even though we showed them their website, it was clear that based on the photos, the other room was not a Nikté. It took 2 days to change the room to a Nikté category, but they refuse to refund the difference for two nights between the Nikté and lower category room. Lot of people complain about the quality of the rooms, and the staff don't do nothing. The hotel hosts a lot of weddings and conferences, so the only heated pool and the area around, are closed several times a week at 2 p.m., to pepare for the event, so the guests have to leave and and there is no chance to find other sunbed on the beach or by the other pool. The food is average or below. They are not nicely presented and at the pool, the food is served on aluminum trays, usually cold In conclusion, the beach is beautiful, with white sands, but if you are looking for a five star hotel, don't come here. If only the all inclusive plan and the lots of tequila is the most important, then this is your place, but if the 5 stars quality is, a good food, look for another hotel. If this hotel is a 5 stars, I think the JW Marriott 8 stars next door. The Paradisus Cancun was a big disappointment for us
I was worried from all the negative reviews and we travel a lot but I was impressed! We stayed in the Reserve and the food was AWESOME top notch, beverages were premium brands and the hotel itself is beautiful!! We will absolutely be back! They could use more night life for the adults but I Highly recommend!
Viva Mexico & Viva Paradisus Cancun
We were really pleased with our stay in this hotel. The staff was professional, courteous and always smiling. Our room was clean, spacious and cozy. The bed and pillows were really comfortable. The breakfast is our highlight here - it was superb! We were greeted each morning by Orlando, Daniela, Luis and the top staff. Overall, I would say that this is a very nice hotel. The customer service from the front desk, F&B, and the housekeeping was indeed good. Great team! 10/10 MELIA Dreaming to come back soon.
Love this resort
Definitely would return to this resort! In the main restaurant Armando, Ignacio and Richer were amazing. Recognized us whenever we went in and took great care of us . The Nespresso bar started our day out perfectly with the help of Alejandro & Fernando. Loved how many options were in the gym as well . The buffet food always changed up which was nice and the Italian restaurant did not disappoint
