    Honest paradisus reopening review

We went on a family vacation for my Dad’s 70th birthday the 2nd week the hotel opened. This was our 3rd time staying at Paradisus Cancun so we definitely had expectations but knew there could be some hiccups as they re-opened. The first 2 days were rough starting with check-in and having to have our room switched. The front desk staff is new so they are working through a majority of the issues and it took quite a while to resolve. The 2nd day at the pools you have to get down and reserve your chairs and umbrellas and people were straight up coming and physically moving umbrellas and chairs to different spots and throwing our stuff off. Yes this is a guest issue, but pool staff should be monitoring this. Josmari was a manager that really listened to our concerns and helped resolve the issues by the pool. By day 3 things SIGNIFICANTLY improved and our last 4 days were lovely. They were on a better trajectory and I think things will get back to the Paradisus we love in the next few months. My brother did the family concierge and his concierge Alex was absolutely fantastic going above and beyond making sure my dad‘s birthday was celebrated. We loved our food at KAO, SAL steakhouse and Capella’s. Plus the coffee and gelato shop is amazing. One knock I will say is that they have scaled back the amount of food options for children for example, the Asian restaurant no longer has teriyaki chicken bowls, so kids are pretty much eating burgers, chicken nuggets, pizza every day and not a ton of allergy, friendly options for egg allergies The staff who have been there for years and a couple newbies is truly what made it so wonderful in the end. Shout out to Baltazar and Vianney by the main and kid’s pools - stick with them and they will treat you great. Alejandro (Alex) and Perla in the coffee shop make THE best iced lattes. We have been with Alex for three years and he is just the absolute best. Every morning we’d look for Armando, Pascual, Jerry and Manuel in the Gastro and they always took care of us. Emmanuel at Sal and Anabel and Fanny at Zesty were so sweet. All in all, they are still working out in their kinks, but it is getting better each day and I think it will go back to what we’ve known and loved very soon.

    Great Restaurant Staff

We stayed for 5 days at the 6th floor of Pyramid 3 which is the central location of the hotel. Our room was spotless everyday and the interior of the hotel looks relaxing and modern. After you’re done with the check in, make sure you download the Melia app to know the activities, events, room service, restaurant menus & opening time. Book dinner reservations right aways for 3 days as booth only opens 9am-4pm. If you arrive later like us, you can try walking in at any restaurants if they have available slot or go to Gastro Hall (buffet) as it doesn't need reservation. As for lunch, you can walk in anywhere as long as it’s open. Service: 10/10 Our family (4 adults+1 kid) loved going to Twe12lvet (coffee shop & ice cream shop) because of the Alejandro, Rosalia and Perla. They were always accommodating, hardworking, greets us all the time and smiles a lot even though they’re busy going back & forth in coffee station and ice cream station. We always say that the Twe12lvet is our comfort/happy place especially Alejandro, who takes time to have a quick chat with us. Special mention to Anna at the shack as well, she took care of us for 2 days. We always look for her if we are in the poolside. She’s so sweet, updates us all the time if we need something else and talks to us too. Check in: 3/10 Check in was frustrating. We arrived at the hotel at around 3pm and it took us around an hour for the check in process. You can just see the staff going in & out of the door behind them. No staff is guiding the guests in line so even if you arrive first, you wont be catered right away, you have to guess where to line up and hope that the receptionist is fast in doing the checkin process. If only there’s no pillar blocking the left side of the counter, we would know who is available. Restaurant: 10/10 Overall I enjoyed the food so much. We tried everything except SAL & Zesty. All the restaurants have different menus for lunch and dinner. All of the food and the staff were great. Noise level: 5/10 We are the 6th floor and from our room we can still hear people outside. May be from the bar area at the 2nd floor.

Concierge-Omar was outstanding concierge service exceeded expectations and played a huge role in making our vacation

Omar -Concierge was amazing excellent service he did not missed a single beat. The concierge service at the Paradisus all-inclusive resort truly elevated our entire stay. From the moment we arrived, the Omar concierge team was attentive, professional, and genuinely eager to help. They made every effort to ensure our experience was seamless and stress-free. Whether it was securing dinner reservations at the most popular restaurants, arranging transportation, or recommending activities around the resort, they handled everything efficiently and with a smile. What stood out most was their personalized approach—they remembered our preferences and anticipated our needs before we even had to ask. I highly recommend Omar!!
