Wonderful resort but lacking some entertainment options
The check-in process was confusing. One for standard guests and another for The Reserve guests. However, The Reserve guests are not informed of the different location until reaching the main front desk clerk. Entertainment is lacking, especially in the evening for adults, but the food and service provided by the staff is excellent, particularly the Malva buffet. The multiple pool areas are beautiful and well maintained. Food and bar quality was quite good. Staff and waiters were very helpful and polite. Our 'Reserve' concierge Victor M did a fantastic job and handled all of our needs. I would recommend avoiding the sales presentation if you have no interest in becoming a Melia Rewards member. The presentation interrupted our day and served no benefit to us. Overall, I would recommend the resort however some improvements could be made.

Lunch Box at Paracisus Cancun is worth the visit!
Unique and exceptional food at Lunch Box in paradises Cancun. I would describe it as Latin/Mexican fusion. The manager, Geilloth, greeted us, waiter, Juan, was outstanding, hostess, Libertad, friendly and accommodating, and Chef Ventura knows what he’s doing! Highly recommend!

Paradisus Cancun Enjoyment
My wife and I visited Paradisus Cancun for the first time in ten years. We have been there many times. We are TS owners in the Melia/Paradisus program. There are good things about our stay and there are some not so good. Our room was a 1BR suite in the members section. Our room was very nice with an ocean/pool view. The facilities were quite adequate and comfortable. The view was spectacular as always. The food and restaurants were somewhat subpar. The restaurants were certainly subpar. The buffet was fine for breakfast, but hit and miss for dinner. We had good food at poolside. From a members perspective, I felt as I have always, there is no special section at poolside. The members section is at the end of the long pool and amidst the family area where there are many children. It is annoying that members have no special pool area. Overall I would consider that members are considered secondary. We had massages and the spa and massage were excellent. It was a great treat and very comfortable and relaxing. There was nightly entertainment and we saw and listened to Bianka / Giancarlo and The Jersey Boys. Both were terrific. Their music was fantastic. Excellent performers. The addition of nightly entertainment at this resort is a great addition to the overall stay. We booked an excursion through Otium. Ricardo was our rep. He was fantastic. We talked to him for quite a while and he provided thorough knowledge of various excursions, as well as much information about each. He suggested an island call Holbox and it was fantastic. The resort facilities are, as always, fantastic. It is quite beautiful and well kept. Some of the folks who cared for us are Josue, Eliot, Alejandra and Yesenia. They did not disappoint. Their service and care were excellent. All were very friendly, courteous and helpful. Anywhere we go, the people can make or break and they helped to very much MAKE it. One suggestion is an adults only pool. There is a fairly large pool and pool area right out the main oceanside doors to the left. This could easily be converted to an adults only section. It would certainly make the resort much better. They could section off an area for members there too. Overall we had a nice stay, but the food, particularly the restaurants, needs an upgrade. We did not go hungry, but for what is a high-class establishment, the food did not measure up. Also, the provisions, room bar/refreshments and snacks did not measure up to other Paradisus standards and/or other brand resorts that we have visited. They certainly provide high level / high quality drinks and the bartenders at the poolside bar(s) are superb. The bartenders are courteous, friendly and very hard working. The members only section of the hotel is not utilized fully. There is a large area on the main floor of the section that could be used to provide quite a bit of added enjoyment for members. It is virtually unused. The Melia brand projects a high-class image. This Paradisus maintains that standard in most ways, but can get better. There is some recent concern for safety in the area. We did not feel any trepidation whatsoever. We spent time on the beach and in the sea and felt comfortable the whole time.

All inclusive Resort
Food are all amazing and top of my favorite is the Cielo! Their food is so flavorful thanks to Moises who helped us introduce the mexican food! Next to our list is the lunch box where you can eat and watch different variety of the hotel shows! And lastly, Lemon Fish, amazing view of the hotel garden! We will definitely come back. Had a great all inclusive experience!

Karina at Kanna was one of the best staff. She made our vacation a VACATION!! Also shout out to the manager at Agave and Jorge at Kanna. They are the reasons the hotel is amazing. I can’t remember all names but I must say that we were well taken care of always!
