    Exceptional Historic Hotel Experience

Staying at the Palace Hotel was an exceptional experience. Architecturally, the hotel is grand and elegant. The historic charm is immediately evident the moment you walk through the front doors, and one of the highlights for me was the hidden gem of a history museum tucked away in the corner on the south end of the first floor. It offers fascinating insights into the rich past of this iconic establishment. The professionalism and warm hospitality of the staff truly stood out. The front desk, concierge, and housekeeping staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring every aspect of our stay was enjoyable. The pool area is well-maintained, though the air temperature was a bit chilly on a cold night. The gym is well-equipped with modern machines, including a Peloton bike. Our family of four stayed in a connected one-bedroom king suite with a double queen room off the living room. This setup is worthwhile if you require separate rooms or bathrooms. The rooms are spacious, well-appointed, and preserve many original details. Some features are a bit quirky, such as electric sockets in the floor, but they add to the charm if you appreciate historic details. The beds are as comfortable as any I've experienced in a hotel, and the furnishings are high-quality. The bathrooms in our rooms also had Toto seat-warmer bidets. Overall, I highly recommend the Palace Hotel. The level of service, hospitality, and amenities are outstanding, especially if you visit during off-peak times.

Perfect stay for a Business/Working Week

The Palace Hotel is the perfect stay for a business/working week in the Bay Area. The hotel has a landing bay area at the front which is useful for visitors, getting lifts from colleagues or Ubers. The facility is well managed by the hotel staff. The Hotel has a late bar whish is useful for a recap with colleagues after a busy day. The service from the hotel staff is excellent. The Palace is a convenient and efficient hotel to stay in for a working week in the Bay Area. I'd certainly recommend it.

    no free wifi

Utterly gorgeous hotel, if you can afford to then splash out on a 2 roomed suite. Knocked a star off due to lack of free wifi, in a hotel of this quality wifi should be complimentary. I stayed in some small and large motels on the same trip which all offered free wifi.

    Great Luxe Experience

Had the pleasure of staying at this property for a business trip. Decided to try out this location due to the buildings history and wanted to see the interior design. It definitely met my expectations and really provided a different feel and atmosphere compared to the other Marriott brands I've stayed at. The luxe factor of the dining area as well as the main foyer really adds to the appeal of this facility. I stayed in a Deluxe King room and there was more than ample space. Bathrooms are clean and modern and all the furnishings are modern as well. Bedsheets and linens are nice and clean and what you would expect from a higher end hotel. Service: Top notch from the doormen, valet, dining, and reception. Everyone is very attentive, polite, and makes you feel like a true guest rather than just a number. Everyone I interacted with was very friendly and just made the stay that much more memorable. Highly recommend staying at this property if you're in the SF downtown core.
