    Great location!

Great location with lots of high end shopping and great restaurants. Rooms and public areas need a facelift. We enjoyed direct oceanfront with club level access to breakfast and afternoon cocktails/appetizers. Avoid low floors if music is a concern. They have nightly music at Dukes. We preferred Hula Grill which has great food and drinks.

    Can’t wait to go back

The staff was hospitable and kind making the trip stress free. Our room was clean, cozy, and functional for the days at the beach. The guest activities were my favorite part. Learning about the Hawaiian culture while making something to bring home enhanced the trip.

    Disappointing experience

The location of the hotel was Fantastic and the staff were very friendly and helpful, however the club package Voyager 47 was very disappointing and not to the standard I have experienced in other Hotels with club facilities, the choice of food was limited and very average , there were no soft drinks available ie Coke or lemonade etc , a couple of local beers , some wine and cocktails, but all in all very disappointing, would definitely go back to Hawaii but would look at an alternative hotel .

    Beyond expectations!

We recently (6.1.24 to 6.6.24) stayed at the amazing Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort. We have stayed at this property many times but this was the first time we brought our two grandkids (13 & 8) with us. We visioned what our trip would be like and we can happily say it passed our expectations! We were in an ocean front, club room (1625). The view was beautiful! There’s actually an elevator that goes just to the top 3-4 floors. What a treat! The (4) of us had our breakfast each day in the Voyager/47 room, along with evening pupus and cocktails. Their options were perfect for us. They didn’t have a huge amount of options, but what they did have was plenty and tasty. We felt the added cost for a club room was well worth it! Our grandkids would agree… We treated our grandson to private surf lessons. We booked them with the same people that also rent boogie boards, chairs and umbrellas. I believe their name is Aqualani at Outrigger. They are right on the beach near the hotel. We had dinner at the Hula Grill for our grandsons 13th birthday. Absolutely delicious! Each day as we sat poolside we had cocktails and food from Dukes. Our pool server was Holly, she’s the best!!! Always a smile and very friendly. We also frequented daily the Sunrise Shack. They are located right at the entrance of the hotel. Their açaí bowls and monkey bowls were our favorites. Also their avocado toast, delish!!! It goes without saying, we had a fun filled trip, we were sad to leave, but we will be back!!! MAHALO to everyone at the Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort

    Immaculate Room!

My room on the ninth floor was exceptionally clean! The carpets were new and vacuumed, the bed linens were crisp and tightly folded, the four huge pillows were fluffy, yet firm, and the air was fresh in the room. I have stayed at Oahu hotels several times before and often I would be greeted with the stale, moldy smell; but I was thrilled that all was more than clean! The bathroom floors were tile and the shower was strong and the water hot. The A/C was so very quiet, yet responsive. Although the room entry was a bit narrow, the room opened up nicely. The room door was very heavy and sealed well; I did not hear one peep from any adjacent rooms during my six night stay from May 27th to June 1st, 2024. Although I did hear street musicians for a few hours from Kalakaua; but the reverie did not stop my good night's sleep. The Fitness Center was surprisingly well-equipped; I loved using the rowing machine, free weights, the incline bench and the cable machine. Filtered water was available, along with towels. The view of the skyline, adjacent buildings and some of the water was pleasant enough. All the Front Desk personal were courteous and helpful! Mae, Mary, Tiff and others, were exceptional in any service request. I had two minor issues--electronic lock on the room safe and my room key needed a new battery, but they called Maintenance immediately and within minutes all was taken care-of. I didn't hit the pool--a bit small, but I planned to just swim in the ocean anyway; but they had a ice machine and filtered water in the pool area! Everyday, I would fill my Hydro-flask with ice and their water! The elevators took a bit to understand, but the system provided great security. Of course, Duke's and The Blue Note were just steps away from the lobby area (Duke's on the ground floor and The Blue Note and Hula Grill on the lobby level). And of course, a nice ABC Store on the ground floor. I would not worry much if you rent a car; the valet will take care of the parking and help you pull into the drive (off busy Kalakaua, so be careful of clipping a surf-board!). Valet and Bell Desk were super-friendly and efficient. Location is actually the best--steps away from a nice-size beach, one of the best breakfast and lunch buffets at Duke's ($25 for breakfast, and poke and short-ribs for the lunch buffet), across the street from the International Marketplace and a block away from the renovated Royal Hawaiian Plaza.
