Booked a 3 night stay here. Location on Kalākaua is great. We weren’t aware the hotel was under renovations so the atmosphere of the hotel wasn’t at all what we expected with the boarding around the lobby areas, with workers unloading equipment. The front desk host, Ligaya, was very welcoming and friendly. We prepaid a city view room, and sadly there were no renovated rooms available. The room was of course outdated, but spacious and clean. As we rested before heading out to dinner, on 2 occasions that evening after 6pm, we heard some hammering. We thought it was late to hear the noise, though we also weren’t sure if it was coming from street level, as our room was located on the 2nd floor facing Kalakaua. The next morning, Ligaya was at the front desk, and we asked her about the construction times, and found out that it stops at 4pm. We mentioned what we heard and she was so apologetic and asked to let them know if it continues. The next night was fine, but our last night was the worst when it came to noise. On top of all the street noise, across the street was an outdoor party w/dj. We figured the party/music on a Sunday night would probably stop around 8pm. It stopped close to 10pm, but then karaoke started (I don’t know which was worse). I already have trouble sleeping and it made it more difficult to fall asleep. Ligaya for a third time was at the front desk when we checked out. She heard about the noise the night before and was again very apologetic for the noise, as it was out of their control. All of the staff we interacted with at Outrigger Waikīkī Beach Resort provided excellent customer service, were very friendly, and helpful with giving us suggestions on where the locals like to go. I don’t want this to be a negative review. I hope to come back after renovations (not on the 2nd floor) and redeem this trip, and give a true review of the resort.

21st Birthday Celebrations
We returned to the Outrigger to celebrate my twin grandsons' 21st. Though out the dinner and the whole stay the stay were terrific. The staff coped really well with all the refurbishment going on and the construction workers were amongst the most polite I have ever come across. Well done to Steve and the team. Can't wait to come back when its all brand new

Check out Outrigger Waikiki on the beach!
Outrigger Waikiki is truly From the front desk to maid service, they are tops! We treasure our vacations there at least two a year. Th location is perfect, right across from the International Marketplace. Their restaurants serve delicious food and there is live music every night!
