Excellent vacation! Will come back! 4.5 stars!
Second time in Jamaica and wanted to provide a summary of our first stay at Ocean Eden Adults Only. Went with the wife for 5 nights and just got back. In a nutshell, we will definitely consider coming back and the cons below are not huge deal breakers for us. We may explore Privilege guest access next time! Pros: -Best best best food ever with lots of variety, especially buffet. Wasn't busy at all. We tried the Italian and Teppanyaki a la carte restaurants for dinner, both were great overall (rice was slightly hard at Teppanyaki but meats amazing) -Beautiful ocean views from our room. Pretty clean room and was serviced everyday by housekeeping. Always topped up our fridge. -Ice cream bar on the kids side available after 5pm but great selection -Jerk hut on the kids side (great food) -Coffee bar on the kids side (amazing coffee drinks but be ready for lineups in mornings) -Nice to go for walks around the resort, especially at night. Entertainment on kids side was good! Busy on the kids side. -Lazy river was fun on the kids side (small wait for tubes). There's a bar there in the river as well -Great drinks for the most part by all bars -Great gym and not busy in the early mornings -Great pool with entertainment and good bar service. Large pool and didn't feel too busy. -Nicely coordinated after arrival into airport and bus to resort; and same for bus back to airport. Check out was fast. Cons: -Small beach. Chairs get taken very early in the morning (same applies to pool but pool has more space). We had to secure our spot around 530am to get the chairs under the huts (also watch out for slightly big beach spiders around the beach volleyball net and many rocks/gunk). Only very limited swimming area on the adult side -AC in room could have been a little better (had a cockroach in our washroom on one of our last days) -Room wasn't ready at 3pm, only closer to 430pm (had to ask multiple times), and, getting our luggage took more time after. Housekeeping forgot to give us a towel after they cleaned our room on one of the days. -Aggressive upselling of a presentation by certain staff in lobby waiting area when we checked in -Bookings for restaurants are given priority to those with Privilege access. We were still able to get bookings but was difficult as many times were already reserved -Our room was on 3rd floor. Note there is an open top on this floor so you cannot be on the balcony when it rains -Staff are a mix of pleasant and unpleasant (they still do their jobs well but without the smiles). Mostly applies to waiters at restaurants. Bar staff were great! -Sugar Cane a la carte only open Mon and Wed. We couldn't get in on Wed due to Privilege guests reserving as priority -Somewhat loud at night when trying to sleep with events on adult side

Good experience
We stayed at Ocean Eden Bay from April 8–13. Arrival & Lobby: We checked in around 2:00 PM and were told our room would be ready by 3:00 PM, but we didn’t get access until करीब 4:30 PM, so we spent quite a while waiting in the lobby. While waiting, there is also a team that approaches you about the “Privilege Membership.” They can be quite pushy, which took away from the overall arrival experience. Staff 7/10 Many staff members didn’t seem very welcoming and often came across as uninterested. That said, there were a few exceptional individuals who really stood out and made a positive difference in our stay. Some amazing staff that we met during our stay who made it memorable for us at the Captain Market are: the two lady’s at the omelet station at breakfast, Harmeline and Rushelle Food – 10/10: The food overall was excellent. The Captain Market buffet had a great selection with fresh options at every meal. We tried two à la carte restaurants: Teppanyaki: Not worth the hype in our opinion—the rice was hard, although the meat was good. Italian restaurant: Absolutely delicious and definitely recommended. Reservations must be booked through the app, with slots opening at 8:00 AM daily. Privilege members get priority booking, so if you miss the 8:00 AM window, it can be hard to secure a spot. The ice cream shop and coffee shop on the other side of the resort were amazing and definitely worth visiting. Room – 9/10: The room was very nice overall. The only downsides were that the AC wasn’t always cool enough, and the fan made a screeching noise at times. Pools 9/10 The pool area was fun and not overly crowded, and the entertainer was great and kept the vibe lively. The lazy river was also a highlight—lots of fun, and there’s a bar inside which is a nice touch. The only downside is that it can sometimes be filled with kids. Beach: 5/10 The beach was the biggest disappointment. There are very limited chairs under the huts, and many guests reserve them as early as 6 AM, leaving none available for the rest of the day. The adults-only beach is also quite small and rocky. Overall: A good resort with amazing food and a fun atmosphere, but improvements are needed with service, room readiness, and beach setup.

Swim up room non privilege April 2026 pros and cons
Swim up was lovely. Room cleaning service however was the worst we have ever had in a 5 star resort. Had to chase daily to get any towels toilet rolls cleaning . Budd
