Xcaret
As a Royal Club member i was upset that i had to stay in the First Club.. There was a convention at the hotel and I think they had the attendees stay in the Royal Club., This is a very poor practice in my opinion as my family and I should be able to get what i pay for.

Great place to stay!
Deluxe plus room was clean and updated. Bar was always stocked. AC worked great. Option son how often you wanted the room serviced. PLENTY of food options. Lowest quality of food was at Paco's Tacos and The snack bar above the pool. Otherwise, all of the facilities were clean and enjoyable. The rooms had VERY thin walls and guests could be heard laughing and talking loudly, also room cleaning staff were very loud in the halls in the mornings and almost always woke us up at 8am.

Needs upgrades. Very disappointed
3 of our 9 days we had no hot water, one of our rooms had no soap all week and a broken dispenser, no matter how many times we asked it wasn’t fixed or replaced. The hostesses would allow some guests in with shorts on and not others. If you’re going to have a dress code enforce it evenly not at the whim of the hostess. There was built up sludge in the corners of the showers. The oriental restaurant was outstanding. We were a family of 6 all adults and no one under the age of 29.

Excellent Stay
We enjoyed 9 days at the Occidental in May. It was amazing - kids had a blast - very good that the hotel is attached to Xcaret park and we bought the room that includes entry daily which we enjoyed. Staff were polite, restaurants and buffet had sufficient choice and good food for all. And Jose Diego, manager of the hotel, helped us out more than once with some incidents - we were very grateful for his help and professionalism and cannot speak highly enough of him and the staff at the hotel.

Third amazing stay at this resort
We love this huge jungle resort with its easy access to Xcaret park. The staff are really friendly and there are lots of places to eat and drink. Very multi-national and great for family & friends of all ages.
