Transportation - Excellent. We had a small AC bus and were the only ones on it both ways. Check In - no line-up BUT we ended up being there for almost 2 hours! We had told our Tour Operator (Costco Travel) that we wanted 2 beds in each room. We also wanted to be close to the beach. We ended up getting 2 rooms with King beds, fairly close to the beach BUT had to spend an additional $1548 CAD for it! Room (block 6) -Fairly large, all are either ground or 2nd floor - water and AC temperature VERY good - bed very comfortable Please NOTE- - There are ONLY 2 ROOMS at this entire resort that have ocean view! Pools - very lovely, only went in one day to do water aerobics because I am a BEACH person BEACH - beautiful white sand, long beach - lots of great palapas on the beach and two bars on either side - easier to get chairs on the beach than at the pool but you do have to get there by 8am - ocean was very warm but never really calm but I did go in a lot because I was with a friend who is a good swimmer. Not very much seaweed. Yoga - very good and there is a LOT of it Lots of other activities - The Coconut Oil Making was interesting. RESTAURANTS - SERENDIPIA - Only resto for both breakfast and lunch (Buffet). ONLY other option is to go near lobby where the only decent coffee is (Nespresso) and you can get little pastries, sandwiches, fruit cup and yogurt. (this is open 24 hours/day). They also make great smoothies! Only 3 others for a la carte dinners and they are not consistent with service or food quality. You can make resto reservations at entrance of Serendipia. Look for Maria who is sooo helpful. I never had problems getting my reservations in and we were there for 9 nights. Basically, it is buffet for both breakfast and lunch which does not appeal to me. I know of 2 people who got very sick while were there (one had to go to hospital). BEST entertainment was the Water Aerobics show - do not miss this one!! SPA is lovely but needs one of the water therapies to be cold! CUSTOMER SERVICE I have been to resorts where most times when I pass a staff member they greet me. This was not the case here. As well, I saw many instances where things were done too slowly and I believe it was due to poor training. (I worked in hotels for over 25 years). My personal rating for this resort is 3.5 out of 5. It could have easily been at least a 4 if it were not for all of negatives mentioned.

Mar 08, 2026Spa Chocolate Mask Experience
It honestly is incredible here! As an included complimentary activity to all guests, I took a part in the Chocolate Mask activity today! They talked us through the benefits of Cacao, and the ladies from the spa applied the masks for us. After a period of time, they then removed the masks before applying a seaweed mist and moisturiser. I felt like I’d been to the spa for a second time following my treatment a few days ago! Additionally I’d like to mention that for both my spa treatment (and as a nice surprise, this experience), Nikaury was incredible! So approachable, kind and just amazing at making me feel completely at ease and relaxed. I definitely recommend to request her if visiting the spa!

Excellent Resort
Very classy elegant tranquil resort with great service and friendly staff. Stunning views. Food was good at the breakfast/lunch buffet and the international dinner buffet which changed themes every evening. Very nice rooms. We got the deluxe rooms & were impressed. 5 minute walk from main lobby to the beachfront, or free shuttle runs every 15 minutes. The walk is gorgeous and lit up with pretty lights at night and you'll see wildlife during the day. Mostly relaxing stay I've had ever on a vacation. Nightly entertainment at the Elixir Bar and also there's a swim up bar at the main big pool as well as a tiki bar at the beach with a nice swimming area.

Excellent experience
Excellent hotel, you can tell they take wellness seriously. Also, Jasmine was super friendly, always created great vibes! Would definitely come again.
