CHAIRS!!! Where TF are all the chairs! You have guests laying towels everywhere! This should tell you that you don’t have enough chairs for all of your guests! Invest in more chairs! Will not pay good money to be aggravated everyday searching for a chair at the pool or beach!

10/10 Would recommend
This is a very delayed review, as I realised my previous one hadn’t gone through properly. We stayed at Melia Beach Punta Cana and had the most wonderful time. It was my first visit to the Caribbean and it exceeded all expectations - without doubt the most beautiful place I have ever been, and one of the best travel experiences I’ve had. A huge part of this was thanks to the incredible staff, especially our personal concierge, MJ. Every morning, he sent us detailed information about the day’s activities and the evening restaurant menus. He also organised all our excursions, reservations, and private dinners, making the entire trip completely stress-free. Thanks to MJ, we were able to relax and fully enjoy this stunning destination. Our experience truly wouldn’t have been the same without him. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Punta Cana — and if possible, be sure to ask for MJ!

Lovely stay
So we stayed for 10 nights, booking through BA. Was reluctant about visit due to trip advisor searching. So here it is….Stayed in block 2 overlooking the pool. Location is excellent, the grounds are fantastic and well maintained. The staff work so hard…. Well done. The pool is massive with a swim up bar, yes it does get sand at the bottom but the pool men work every day to clean it. It is windy and pool is right on the beach so sand does blow in. The beach is lovely, yes there is seaweed but it is from the sea !,,, You can walk for miles in either direction. The hotel is well disguised and cannot be seen from the sea. There is a gym which in my opinion is very good, 2 treadmills rower cross trainer and loads of dumbbell’s. The food is excellent, breakfast lunch and dinner. The speciality restaurants are pretty good but nothing special. Have to book 8 am at guest relations for the following 48 hrs. Staff are pretty good however the waitressing is not brilliant, just needs staff to have a bit more training. Keep hold of your cutlery or you’ll be eating with your hands!,, There was no issues with flies, mosquitoes or birds on food tables etc… there is a casino at Melia Calibre about 5 min walk under cover from this hotel. Golf buggies ferry you around and never had to wait more than 5 minutes….good fun. The only issue I had was with the loud fairly drunk Americans and Canadians. It didn’t spoil our holiday but they seem to travel in groups of 10+ and take over the whole area, I wish we had a no North American policy😂😂. Even with ear phones I could hear the US women screeching and cackling. Overall would recommend😀
